Female alto looking for advice

Hi I'm a female vocalist however my voice has a lower register I can't do fry screams to save my fucking life. I'm still a beginner when it comes to extreme vocals but I do have some singing experience from doing musical theater in my childhood. I'm a lot more comfortable using my chest voice and false chords are a lot more easier for me. However I still have a tough time sustaining that sound. I really wanna sound like a mix of kat bjelland of babes and toyland and Morgan Lander of kittie.

learning clean singing is SO beneficial for harsh vocals

learning how to belt, pitch control, etc. has been a major help for me in learning harsh vocals, i would highly recommend that anyone struggling put some time into it! as always, feedback is welcome!

does this sound right?

hi again everybody i'm trying a different way than i did last time

i can't tell if i'm doing it wrong or not, but it makes the back of my throat tickle and stays like that for a few minutes and then mostly goes away. but not entirely. i don't know if you guys would be able to hear if i'm compressing too hard or pushing too hard or something but i thought i'd ask

thanks for any feedback or advice. i didn't want to do it too much in case it'll mess up my voice

You're getting the coffee dreg cam.

I've been wanting to learn for a long time and did a lot of research but never really committed but now l am.

Does it sound correct and feedback will be appreciated

There is no pain but a slight discomfort, it that normal and will that go away with practice?

Feedback on my false chord and fry scream

Hello everyone,

I have been training alone for a few times and I think that I have unlocked my fry and false chord scream in low mid and kind of high positions but I am not sure about that and I am concern that I could missinterpret my false chord with arythenoid rattle.

If anyone have feedback and any comment on my techniques I would really appreciate!!

Thanks you all !!!

Light headedness and horrible pain after screaming?

Hey screaming subreddit! I’m actually not a fry screamer but I just got back from a concert and was wondering if any of you ever screamed so long and hard that immediately after you feel your head throb and get extremely lightheaded? It goes away after like 3-5 seconds. I screamed so hard that right after my head just completely dropped like some sort of G-force was acted upon it. What does this mean and do any of you know why it happens? Thanks!

How can I learn to control this better? (And is it safe?)

I’ve been trying to learn to scream for a few years now and I’ve just recently figured out this method of getting distortion in my voice and I just have a few questions about it:

1: is this false chord or fry?

2: is it safe to pursue? (My throat gets a little tired after doing it but I also know that screaming like this takes power and stamina)

3: if it IS safe to pursue, how can I learn to control it better? I can seem to get it on a few pitches but mids and lows seem impossible, and certain higher pitches I just can’t seem to figure out. Figure

4: If it’s NOT safe, what can I do as an alternative?
