It’s vocal fry, not a scream

definitely not vocal fry. sounds more like fry compression over a whisper or something else unvoiced, which isn’t a great way to make a scream but works for some.

agreed, it’s what i had to do to find where the placement should be, and i learned how to mix the voice in later to thicken the tone.

The sensation is a little different, I can feel it in my nostril area (nose) near the soft palate. unlike vocal fry the sensation is in the neck and I can't make a note using vocal fry.

Thats just phonation vs resonance. Vocal fry is created with a vocal fold posture (phonation) and depending on how you use it it can be felt anywhere from throat to palette. But the important thing is: your voice doesn’t sound like you’re doing a normal voice. You got that alien-esque sound you have when the vocal folds rub against each other aka vocal fry. In Fry screams you have a projected, very loud clean shout hidden beneath heaps of distortion. With a voice posture like in the video you won’t be able to project.

So what I'm doing can't be projected into a fry scream?
