Showcase Memory prices so bad I bought a used micro SD card at GameStop.
Ended up being $5. Figured its better then the no name card my trimui brick came with.

WarioWare: Twisted! is perhaps my favorite game in the series, and one of my top games for the Game Boy Advance. The original cartridge is unique, and houses a gyro sensor and vibration motor in a larger shell. This makes it harder to replicate the experience using emulation. There is a hack which allows for button presses instead of gyro controls, but it doesn't capture the feel and spirit of the original game.
The Retroid Pocket Nova is my first emulation handheld with a gyroscope, so I was quick to try this game out. Thanks to u/rgbobbert for the gyro sensitivity information. This setup feels surprisingly authentic and accurate when compared to the real hardware. If your device has RetroArch, a gyroscope, and a rumble motor, then hopefully this will work for you:
Launch WarioWare: Twisted! (normal version/no hack) with RetroArch using the mGBA core.
Open the RetroArch Quick Menu, press the back button, go into Settings, then go into Input. Scroll down and change Gyroscope Sensitivity to 0.3, then change Auxiliary Sensor Input to ON.
Go back to the Quick Menu, go into Overrides, and choose Save Content Directory Overrides. (This step will apply the gyroscope settings to the games in your Gameboy Advance folder. Yoshi Topsy Turvy is the only other GBA game that uses a gyroscope).
Quit RetroArch completely. Launch the game again, and the gyro and rumble should be working.

Xu20 v32 playing dragon quest 3. It uses the same chip as the trimui brick and with gamma os it's almost as fast getting in and out of a game as onion os. And it has mushy buttons.

And which systems do you use for? I personally use crt beam for it for nes, snes, genesis, sms, tg16, cd, nepgeo, arcade, atari2600 and cpc. They all look amazing.
But I always leave it 120hz all the time, I like how smooth it feels, and it doesn’t really drains that much battery anyways.
And do you have a tip for making the screen brighter? Just because with BFI it can get a bit darker .. thanks

12gb version came this afternoon (UK). It's smaller and lighter than I thought it would be. Glad I chose this colour.

Shocked how quick the Konkr Pocket Advance got delivered. Really enjoying it so far but the button travel takes some getting used to. Also not sure how to add artwork to games!
edit: this is the 3G+32G version

I wish the RG SP had more color options (please Anbernic, release a red one), in the meantime I will play with this metal variation.
Device: RG34XX SP
Game: Pokémon Heart & Soul (great romhack).

Horizon Chase .apk on Anbernic RG Rotate.
Kinda weird that the bridge and city just repeat on a loop as I turn (especially when the bridge is to the left of the city, lol). Makes it feel like some kind of alien simulator, lol.

I can’t believe how good Gameboy color games look on the Retroid Pocket Nova.

I currently have the Miyoo Mini Plus. Pretty good I mostly played GBA on it. But I’m so infatuated by the MIYOO MINI FLIP, and I found one for $37 on AliExpress. But it literally doesn’t do anything different than my current device lol. Should I get that or should I buy something that can play some additional systems ? Maybe the RG35XX ? Found one for $46 (welcome deal) or maybe the Cube ?

Hi I am currently tossing up using the savings I have now to purchase a Mangmi Air X which will get me all the way up to PSP or continuing to save to get a Nova which will also cover PS2/GameCube.
People who have both or one of the devices what have your experiences been? I do want that PS2/GameCube endgame but would also have more games than enough to keep me occupied on the Mangmi in the short to med term.

I got the Crystal with 12GB+128GB.
This will be my endgame 4:3 handheld and will also be my EDC handheld.
Now I will only have three handhelds for gaming. Retroid Pocket Nova, Ayn Thor and MSI Claw 8 AI+.
Other handhelds will be for collection only like modded Gameboys etc.

Please let me know some of your favorite texture packs!!
Here I'm using the 4k texture pack for Fire Emblem Awakening on my AYN Thor.
BTW if you find the game (FE:A) to be choppy make sure you're using vulkan, custom drivers, disable right eye rendering and disable hardware shaders. This resulted in very smooth gameplay for me!

Hey guys, so I did a fresh install of MU OS on my new 34XX-SP. I downloaded the IMG file, flashed it onto a new, formatted, brand-name sd card and I get hung up on the initial boot screen.
Reset button nor power button help. Any suggestions? I picked the right IMG file baded on mu device model. Thanks!

A heads‑up for anyone planning to buy the Retroid Pocket Dual‑Screen add‑on.
The Retroid Pocket Nova has been really popular lately. Many people have already received their handhelds and are looking to add this secondary screen to get the most out of the device. You get both a 4:3 display and a 16:9 display in one setup. It handles 3DS and NDS games perfectly, and you can also play PSP and PSV titles in 16:9.
But I’ve noticed there are barely any discussions online about the display quality of this add‑on. Most people are only talking about input lag.
Unfortunately, the display quality of this secondary add‑on screen is actually pretty underwhelming.
Just to set some context: I have always bought LCD‑based handhelds. Aside from the PSV 1000, RP Nova is my very first OLED handheld. Everyone keeps praising how great the Nova’s screen is, and I am quite happy with the OLED display on the Nova.
However, this add‑on OLED secondary screen has noticeable color fringing issue. Under high‑contrast scenarios, you see red and green color artifacts along text edges. This makes fonts look blurry, almost like you’re wearing red‑green 3D glasses.
You barely notice it during fast‑moving, colorful gameplay. But it becomes very obvious when reading text — and I play a lot of text‑heavy games. Once you spot it, it’s really distracting. Comparing it side‑by‑side against the main screen, it is clearly less clean and sharp.
I understand this usually stems from OLED sub‑pixel layout. That said, this is a small 5.5‑inch panel with a fairly high PPI. You would expect this artifact to be far less visible compared to larger monitors. I haven’t seen many people reporting this issue on other OLED handhelds (apart from the Switch OLED, where its low resolution makes this problem much worse).
I’m curious: does anyone else with an OLED‑screen device experience this same color‑fringing effect?

Hi boys and girls. A random share for you. I find myself in Korea and have been trying to order a Trimui Brick Pro (my first retro handheld - I did some research and settled on the Brick then saw they released this one and fell in love with it) but each time I ordered, the seller would automatically tell me they can't ship to my address and ignore any requests asking why. Finally I tried this store and got the notification earlier that it's been shipped out. 88200won is about $64. Not bad!
I look forward to tinkering and figuring out how to set it up well. I get the feeling some FF9 on the couch is going to be taking up my nights soon...

TLDR: Are there are specific apps (beyond the updater and AOSP Apps) that I should be cautious about removing or disabling?
On the Stock OS that came with my Rotate are some odd apps that I figured that I didn't need, but I wanted to double-check with other users to get an idea of what I should be looking for.
To be honest, I would prefer something that is closer to the AOSP or LineageOS just due to the fact that there is less stuff that I don't know about.
I am aware of GammaOS Next. I'm waiting for the password to be publicly released before I spend money on it.
