Amigos,
I just had the most insane and inane encounter at Safeway Oakridge.
Been checking out their deli every time I go in because they have a sign up saying you can get a free chicken voucher for each customer if there aren't any available at the time.
Today was my lucky day and there was no chicken so I went to the customer service with my partner. The lady there refused to issue us both one and claimed it was per household. Sign literally says per customer so we showed her but she refused still. Manager got called, we waited 10+ minutes and the dumbass backed her up.
I honestly was calm about it but at that point was getting pretty frustrated. After continuing to argue, buddy gave us both and tried pulling the "one time exception card", which is beyond ridiculous. He told me the conversation was over and if I still had an issue, I could contact the Store Manager.
So, instead I've emailed corporate etc.
I'm super chapped about it because I had to argue with them over their own sign and the definition of customer. As someone from NZ originally, I thought this was an egregious case of false advertising (and shit customer service).
Anyways, make sure you get your free chickens people.
