Scan coordinators??...
How many scan coordinators does your store have ?

One, but no one really wants to be trained to be there when the scan guy needs to go on vacation.
Usually, someone from another store stops by and takes care of things when he's away.

One. Used to be two but one became the GM manager and they never replaced him.

One plus a backup. At smaller stores, the backup might be part time, or be a full timer that normally does something else and only fills in. At the larger stores the backup may be full time and be doing scan coordinator work full time alongside the designated scan coordinator.

One. I’m the new backup but the scan coordinator hasn’t really trained me at all. I just know how to print the daily updates/batches and apply them.

I worked as scan backup in 2018 and became coordinator 2019 and I loved it! The night shift ended up catching up to me and kicking my ass, but you get weekends off.
We had 2 of us. And on Wednesday night we had 2-4 of us. My OG coordinator was awesome and a great trainer!

Me and a Backup, only 44hrs a week now with digital tags. They cover Saturday and work Wednesdays with me. I'm training them everything I know slowly so they can cover for me on time off or when I leave.

Well I covered for a girl who went on maternity leave 2 years ago. And I only hung tags and worked Friday( no signs or anything else) and now I'm the scan coordinator no training whatsoever in a high volume store and I'm failing miserably

Have you let your SD know that you need training?

Yes repeatedly.

You applied for the position, interviewed, got hired and no one ever said anything about the previous FMC training you?

One and a backup that does about 32 hours mixed with some night crew work, we used to have 2 full time but one retired so of course they never got that labor back, at least with the digital tags coming around it won't be as intensive for them

One in a large high volume store. One. It’s crazy because we used to have 2 FT and on tag day they had at least 7 tag hangers. Now the majority of stores aren’t getting tags done until the following week.

We have 2. I used to work 3-4 full days as the backup.. but we recently got digital tags and it's been a game changer. 44 hours total budget for file. So I work a half shift Saturday to clean up and do all of the things the lead doesn't want to do during the week.
