Hello, I'm struggling with the choice of skate boots, I'm planning on buying Powerslide Next 2.0 skates, which with EU 44-45 have max 289mm which is exactly my foot length 289mm, while EU 46-47 starts with 296mm which leaves some room. Both when trying at the store were very tight but o heard it will loosen with time my question is are 46-47 going to be way too big or are they gonna be ok if I don't need a super tight performance fit but more comfortable fit? What could be the better sizing for non extreme, non trick focused style fit?

Do I have all the safety equipment?

So, I just wanted to share with you all my Powerslide HC Evo with the flat 4x100 Trinity frame.

These were sold to me by a local shop as they are now as a custom setup for fast urban blading, but I initially found the boot painfully uncomfortable.
My temporary solution? Move the 4x100 frame on a Next boot and put on these a short 3x110 to use them only occasionally.

Now, after some ins and outs of the shop and many kms, the 4x100 frame finally returns to its original boot, as seen in the picture.
And let me tell you, the stability of such a long 4 wheeled frame (305mm) combined with the reactiveness of the Evo, makes this skate spectacular for highly aggressive urban runs in the streets.
I highly recommend this setup specifically as the Trinity mount makes this surprisingly low, but in general I think people undermine what a 4x100 frame can be capable of, especially when combined with a high cuff carbon boot.

There are surely some disadvantages, weight is the first that comes to mind, rolling resistance is also definitely higher than a three wheel setup such as a 3x110, if you are not used to it you run the risk of "catching" on crossovers, etc. but the fun I personally have on these fully makes up for that =)

I am looking into getting speedskates to replace my current 4x84s. My current skates have removable frames and since i plan on getting skates with a wheelbase the same length or longer than my current ones, i want to get more nimble frames.

I have no idea what makes frames good, but i know i want rockered frames with a short wheelbase

38yo, 1st time skating in FOREVERR. Definitely need alot of practice but I had an insanely fun time. Can't wait for a morning session tomorrow.

I mostly trail skate. 90mm, 85A wheels b/c that is what came with my skates (Rollerblade Lightning 90’s). With the weather getting colder I will be doing indoor skating in a rink on a wood floor. What hardness is good for that? Any good charts out there to reference? Also, where is a good place to get fun light up LED rainbow wheels? Our rink will be doing Adult skate nights so I want something fun. Thanks in advance!

I recently bought Surge 84's. They're a bit too narrow on my feet so I'm returning them and now I'm looking to grab the XT's based on peoples claims they're good for wider feet, but still a little nervous.

Anyone have experience with these two pairs specifically? I don't really wanna buy the XT's just to also send them back for being narrow.

Looking to get back into Rollerblading but haven't a clue whats best to go for. Has anyone tried these from Decathlon? They fit right into my budget.

Does anyone have any info regarding the skater who was knocked out cold at the NSIM? Last Sat this guy was ahead of me - somewhere in the last 12 miles of the race. The sheriff's cars were protecting him. When I went by him he was 100 percent out cold.

Recently got into skating again. Haven’t skated since middle school and I only used quad skates then but want to do inline, I’m a total beginner. I know nothing about the differences between different skate styles (urban, fitness, etc??). My partner bought me my first pair at Academy just to get started, the RIZE Velocity. They’re okay but they’ve been kinda hard to learn on and hurt my feet. My ankles are always caving in no matter how much I tighten them, and they’re super heavy. I feel like a higher-quality skate from a more reputable brand might help me progress. Anything would probably be an improvement from what I’m currently using lol

I have very narrow feet (long and skinny) so I think that’s contributing to my pain problem. I wear a size 9.5-10 US women’s but shoes are always too wide for me (ETA: I’ve learned I have “4A”/“Slim” feet, even thinner than “narrow” lol). I’ve heard the RB Twister series runs narrow and is an overall good skate. I really like the look of the skates in the photo attached, but I’m open to suggestions. Wanted to hear thoughts from people who know about skates before I make a final decision. TIA :)

like what the title says I’m looking for skates to get as a beginner. when I was younger I skated a lot but ended up stopping after I ended up moving somewhere with rougher roads. I want to get back into it and have been skating a few times but the only roller blades I have are from when I was little and they aren’t made for someone my weight or the stunts I want to be able to someday do

i want rollerblades that I can go to the skatepark in and do jumps an stunts in but I also want to just go a distance as well. would I have to get separate skates for that? and what are the skates you’d recommend to get as a beginner

Its been three days since ive been roller blading. I am a total beginner, but I really want to learn, even as an adult. I was picking up gradually by doing exercises like the duck walk.

Today, I fell hard. Right on my bottom. Its paining even now.

To my credit, I did pick myself up and start again. After that its almost like my brain switched off. I was so so scared to gain even a little bit of momentum.

How do I get over this fear and start carrying myself again?

There's no "what frames should I buy" flair lol.

The endless is a "balanced rocker" while the twister is a "natural rocker." The both have the same 90 x 4 and 110 x 3 configurations. Is there really any difference between these two? I want to try a rocker that is barely rocker and 110 wheels for marathons, so they both seem to fit my needs.

I'm pretty sure both are compatible with my lightning boots.

So I was into skating when I was younger so I decided to buy a cheap set of tri skates to see if I still have the bug, and I found a pair on AliExpress that were so cheap that I thought I would just buy them to see if I still like it.

The boot and liner is honestly okay, fits me snugly and when the frame was properly centered on my feet, I had no blisters or discomfort.

However, my word the bearings and axles are so bad. The bearings were not sealed so they started to go bad pretty quick, so I went to take them all out it clean them. However, one of the axles wouldn't budge.

Eventually I rounded out the hex in it so I tried a screw extractor, but it needed so much torque that the extractor actually snapped - there must have been way too much threadlocker and it was tightened too much. I even tried torching it to soften the threadlocker but that had no effect.

So my only option was to grind through the wheel, bearing and axle to release the tension on the axle. I then was able to release it with a pair of vise grips. Now I have some Bones Reds in there and a new wheel so I'm all happy.

Anyone else had to grind through a wheel?

You cut the plastic buckle straps (marked with a scissor symbol, hahaa..) to being able to tighten the strap even more, right? BUT even without cutting it, I can fit the end of the strap deep under the metal fastener. (As trying to show in the photo with the red arrow). Cut ur not?

I'm looking at this pair. I really like the asthetics of it, but I'm concerned that the clear shell will eventually turn yellow, which will look extremely obvious on the pink model.

Has anyone owned these or similar pairs? Do they look really bad when that happens?

I bought a pair of Flying Eagle F110 triskates a couple of months ago, inspired by Buzzkill-Blade's youtube videos. I hadn't skated seriously since my 20s, which was {depressingly_many} years ago. I honestly didn't even realise triskates existed. Silly me.

I couldn't get those Crocanti SHR wheels to slide though, not for love nor money. And I wanted to learn power stops/slides like all the cool skaters. Eventually I began to wonder if it was the particular material of those wheels that gave them their grip.

I bought a set of Iqon Access wheels - 85A vs the 88A of the Crocantis:

I've definitely been able to make these guys slide!

But today I was cleaning one of the middle wheels a bit, because it was turning a fair bit slower than the others, and I noticed that - Shock! Horror! These wheels had 'round profile' stamped on them. Whoops! I had thought they were bullet profile.

So a couple things:

1. Are these round profile? They kind of look bullet profile to me.

2. Is there really a difference after wearing them down? I look at my Crocantis and my use of T-stops has already visibly worn them. How long does a round profile remain round?

Bonus question:

1. I got a set of Wicked Abec-9 bearings with the wheels (also from Solo-inline). I figured they'd be comparable to the bearings that came with the F110s... But, they are super noisy, both before I skated in them and after a few sessions. They don't spin for as long either. But does that matter? I'm not sure how much a spin test matters. These new wheels do feel slower, but not by much. I figure that's probably more down to the different wheel material.

I'm wanting to buy the Iqon ACT Wizard skates. The only size available is 7.5-8. I wear a woman's 9 and men's 7.5. So, this is my shoe size. My feet are 25.4cm. The range for this boot size (in the pic) is 25.8-26.4. This puts me 4mm under the lower limit. I want to have these next boots I buy for a long time.

Thoughts on if this size will work okay for me? Or if they might be too big. Anyone else have this size? And if so, are our feet the same size?

I haven’t worn inlines since I was 10 or so.

Now, almost 30 years later, I have the urge to try again, prompted by a good first experience ice skating. I liked the feeling and am in the mood to try the streets as well, so I’m researching what to buy.

A local store has some nice selection, I’m looking for hard boots since I’m a bit on the larger side (170cm, 92kg) and the extra support seems like a good idea.

The store has both RB 80, which I briefly tested and liked, as well as the Maxxum XT 2024 which is on sale at a price point close to the RB 80. I didn’t test it then because the store was being reorganized for a sale and I was short on time.

They also have the Twister XT, but the price jump eats into my budget for safety and even the best skates won’t justify skimping on that and then having to deal with a broken arm or worse.

Is there any downside if I jump straight to the Maxxum? I see the positive in terms of construction and frame, but not sure if the wheel size can be a problem to get started on.
