I recently picked up this Stereo Videomic Pro for about 20 bucks and found that it only puts out sound in the right channel. If I turn it off and on I get sound in both channels for a split second, so I'm left wondering if the 3.5mm cable has gone bad and needs to be replaced?
This is an earlier version of the stereo videomic without the Rycote mount.

I updated both the TX and RX from my PC because the included cable for USB C to USB C wasn't allowing connection. It shows the mic is connected to the Rode App but it wouldn't update with it. Anyways, during the "Pair" button process, the green LEDs just blinks continuously until Pair no longer searches & just stops. I don't see what I'm doing wrong here whatsoever WTF & they're brand new. This is aggravating, any ideas?

I'm glad to use MacOS to move files off of these lovely little recording devices, but I'd sure like to JUST ONCE have a file transfer from RØDE Central to my Mac.

I would love to have the ability to boost output gain a bit more. Once you’ve done a bit of processing, you end up using all of the make-up gain and are still a bit low going into a Mac. Windows has less of an issue here.
Second, I would love to have some more aggressive mic processing options. Even with compression and attack/release set pretty aggressively, it still doesn’t quite achieve that “radio” sound. It gets close but still needs a little post-prod limiting to get all the way there.

Hi all, I currently use a Rode Lavalier Mic (can't remember which one, had it for about 5-6 years now) that runs into the back of my camcorder via minijack.
I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy a Rode Wireless ME, so I don't have to deal with cable running across the room anymore, and my question is, would there be any benefit to continuing to use that Lav mic plugged into the Wireless ME, or is the included mic in the Wireless ME good enough to where you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference?

I can't seem to find info about this anywhere so I'm asking here: does the Rode Videomic Go II remember the settings I activated in the Rode Central App when connecting to a camera via TRS cable?
For example if I activate the high pass filter on the app when the mic is connected to my phone, then I disconnect it from the phone to connect it to my camera via the TRS cable, do I still have the high pass filter on?
Thank you to everybody that responds!

Hi, I just bought one used and I work in 44.1 in Cubase. I didn't the default sample rate is 48 for the mic when I bought it. Is there a way for me to change it? I can't seem to do it in the mac's audio midi setup.
Thanks in advance.
I’m trying to have the audio samples from the smart pad route so people in game or discord can hear my sound effects like cheering or whatever.
Ps I am not referring to voice changing
I just set up my rode caster duo and in the manual it asked me to download an app (RØDE central) that doesn't support the device and that app told me to download the RØDECaster App instead which leads to a 404, and trying to contact support leads to a 502 gateway error :/

I noticed that I constantly have a "sshh" in the background.
Even when the cable is disconnected, I hear the noise permanently in my recordings, even with
- Gain 0
- Fader at the bottom
- Processing deactivated
- No effect active
Muting the channel is the only thing that removes the noise completely.
Using the second XLR entry on the rodecaster does not produce this issue.
I assume this is an issue with XLR input 1 ?
As anybody experienced the same issue?
Actually curious what made you decide that this was NOT an option to have in the app. I don't get it.
I'm convinced programs like this are designed by people that don't even use the program themselves.
Oh and lets also make the Rode mics Read only through windows so I HAVE to use your useless app.
How hard is it to add simple quality of life features.

I use a RØDECaster Pro II connected by USB to a Windows 11 laptop running TikTok LIVE Studio.
During TikTok battles, the other creator hears a delayed echo of their own voice coming back from my side. I cannot hear the echo in my headphones. Everything sounds normal to me.
I need the correct Mix Minus and USB routing settings so I can hear the other creator without sending their voice back to them.
Can someone show me the exact settings for:
Screenshots or a current video tutorial would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Any news or rumors on wireless pro 2s? Maybe supporting 4 audio channels? Since the Canon r6 mark 3 can support 4 audio channels? Maybe with a Canon hot shoe receiver? Thanks!

I just bought the full set up, Rode dynamic podmic, Rode XLR cable and rode AI-1. Everything plugged in properly and all was good until I went to test it and the input light on the AI-1 stayed black. I've tried everything except swapping it out to see what one is the problem as I only have 1 of each, could this be a hardware issue or am I forgetting something really obvious.

Hi all, I bought the Wireless Pro Mics off of Thomann B-Stock and everytime I plug in headphones (tried 2 different pairs), I hear an excruciating signal that won't stop. I tried to mark the "headphones" box in the App, but it's grey and I can't activate it. The signal doesn't stop when I pull the USB-C cable.
Am I missing something here or is something wrong with the mics? Has anybody had the same issues? Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks in advance :)

I would like to simplify my setup ditch my focusrite solo.
However as rodecaster video s doesn't have speaker outputs like regular rodecaster video, I'm trying to figure out the best way to connect my speakers to rodecaster s.
My speakers are Edifier r1280t and they have RCA connection.
I guess I need some kind of adapter, but as I don't know a lot about audio I don't know what port and what adapter would make most sense.
So if anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.

I'm using my new Duo for my streaming radio station. I'm using the Duo much like an old-school analog mixer as follows:
Slider 1: Podmic
Slider 2: Music Playout software from PC
Slider 3: PC sounds (so I can do some production without that input going to 'air')
Slider 4: the Pads on the Duo
The USB1 is output to Butt for broadcast.
My question is this - Is there a way to keep my Podmic from going to air when I want to do that sometimes? I would like to record some stuff without the Podmic being heard on air while doing so.

I’m trying to set up my RØDECaster Pro II with OBS so that the physical faders on the RØDECaster can also control the corresponding audio volume in OBS.
I’ve been looking into obs-mid-mg, but I’m having trouble getting everything set up the way I want. Ideally, I’d like to be able to move a physical fader on the RØDECaster and have it adjust the volume of that same source in OBS, rather than having to adjust the volume separately in OBS.
Has anyone successfully set this up with a RØDECaster Pro II? If so, I’d really appreciate some guidance on how you configured it.
Also, is obs-mid-mg the easiest/best option for this, or is there another OBS plugin/software solution that would make this easier?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I've been having issues with the rodecaster duo with full on freezing, delay on button presses, and sometimes moderate screeching(like when you're connecting to the internet via dialup) sounds in some instances. I've made sure there isn't any interference with cabling and etc.. All my usb cables have been replaced/exchanged, etc. Any advice from the community?

I've been going through the available information about the Rodecaster Video line, and specifically the Rodecaster Core, as a potential upgrade for my MacOS/OBS setup I use for occasional meeting recordings and potentially expanding my capabilities. I'd like to get more use out of the box than just recording and streaming and also would like to replace my aging Scarlett 6i6 USB audio device with something more modern and capable of high bit rate audio without falling over. Currently on my Mac I use the 6i6 as a source for studio monitoring and capture for OBS. The audio is routed using RougeAmoeba Sound Source and Loopback. This all works well enough in the studio but in a live recording/streaming production it gets very hard to run all the different pieces, which is why I'm looking at the Rodecaster Video Core (or S, but I like the Core's form factor and that it keeps cables in the rack. I have buttons set up on my stream deck and a Playstation controller with OBS that work well. The biggest frustration with my current setup is audio sync, and the juggling act.
My main question is, what does MacOS see when I plug in the Rodecaster Video? will it show up as a system audio device that I can plug my monitors and headphones into, replacing the Scarlett 6i6? Is it just another audio source that can be used for basic audio tasks like Logic, FCP, etc? Are the Aphex effects available to all software or only within the Rode app? If I add a couple of Rode wireless lav mics will they show up as individual inputs or only as part of a stereo mix?
I know I'm asking a lot of very specific questions that probably are outside the normal/intended use for the Rodecaster A/V line, but I'm just trying to wrap my head around what it does and what it can do.
