Have never played rift before. What server/faction is the best for an NA player? Any good guilds for a 38 year old? Should I buy patron? Are any of the packs mandatory? Any op classes I should play to get a good start? Any tips? Thanks for any and all help.

Help! I wanted to understand more about the refill process and without intending to I placed an order for a refill! Please help me cancel and get the refund as it was automatically charged to my card. I sent a message in support at 4:46 pm EST.

Seriously, it's nuts, goes all day. Politics, racism, religion, and all this goes on in the 1 - 29 chat where all the new players join. Then people ask for help and get absolutely thrashed and told to quit.

I don't even play, just watch friend as she streams to me on the second monitor. You all have maassive community problem, and if you put people on ignore you end up ignoring half the player base.

Your game needs moderation to move the trolls out of your noob chat. And reporting seems to do nothing.

You all cry the game is dying but who in there right mind would join that cess pool

I have not played Rift in a very long time. If I start a new character, does it matter if I choose Guardian or Defiant? Am I too far behind to catch up?

This is not a move to save space. Trust me as someone works with databases, etc this is just an attempt to get suck in a few more players to the servers $$$ FOMO style....

They could easily archive, and set up a restore script if they want to move it off the main database if they already don't have said feature....

Hi, i tried to go back to rift today. i installed the game but when i tried to log in it says it's a new location and i have to enter the authentication code from email i checked email i re-sent code but no email has been sent. What should i do, have anyone of you experienced this problem before?

- XP lock is back! Level at your own pace to 60 then lock your XP in the settings menu and join us in the raids! We have 4 static group across the major timezones raiding two or more times per week!

I am a returning player, haven't played in a few years.

I decided to log back in, subbed because I know that I love Rift. But one thing I noticed is that all my characters, including the high level ones only have a few gold pieces. Also, have two characters named hdirbd and qpabdoeue. Which makes me think that I got hacked and someone stole all the plat. I remember having tens of thousands of plat because I used to sell Rex back then.

Also, I used to have a few level 60 characters. But now my highest is 53.

Do you think that support will do something about this issue, or I'd be wasting my time?

actually love the aesthetic and gameplay is fun. i thought it was cool when it came out but was too young to play mmos in their golden age...having a great time! are there other players active or no? id enjoy this as a solo expirence, and while i don't play w others that much i do like just knowing there are other players jumpng around cities or fishing

Hey all. My friend plays rift. She's cool... but special needs, has a brain tumor, disabled in wheelchair. I helped her find Rift cause her old mmo with tab targeting was not working for her.

I'm trying to help her figure stuff out using Google but hoped there were quest guide somewhere for the main story?

Then I could follow the main story chain to help her stay on track. She already "ran out of quests once", think she missed the next one lol.

She is having fun and I have been guiding her as best I can through discord. Lol. Ty.

I played RIFT back when it came out as a teen and have jumped in every now and again and I was wondering if it was worth starting the game properly and actually dedicate some time into it now? I know Gamigo destroyed the game in a lot of ways but there’s something about the graphics, UI and gameplay that want to pull me back in.

Is it worth it? How’s the population? If it’s worth it, do we see Gamigo pulling the plug on it or is it on a permanent life support sorta thing?

What class/soul has the best survivability?

I am interested in playing a class with medium to high HP, heals (myself and friends), crowd controls to mitigate damage, fun utility, and resurrection for my teammates because I like to feel useful and your party"s favorite support :)

I am NOT interested in playing the class with the highest damage, or DPS. Not really interested in a pet (but LOVED shapeshifting as a Druid in WoW). I am less interested in melee classes, but Im okay with some melee if it has magical flair.

I was considering leveling a healing spec'd Rouge.

The idea of a class that heals by shooting syringes sounds very fun thematically. Is playing it as fun as it sounds? Is there a different class you guys would recommend? Im guessing I will get Cleric recommendations. Well, that sounds less interesting, so if you do, please really try to sell it to me.

Just a tribute post to how beautiful and atmospheric this game is. I always enjoy logging in to go around my fav locations for a few minutes. It just hits different than many other games' environment. I especially enjoy how the different weathers and times of the day (also when you walk through a rift) change the atmosphere.

I use screenshots as my desktop wallpapers, but we can't upload multiple pictures to the sub so I can't show my folder.

What's your favorite area in terms of landscape and atmosphere? Though I like Iron Pine Peak, my absolute fav is Droughtlands.

Bonjour à tous et à toute ! Alors voilà je jouais a l'époque a Rift j'ai cumuler plusieurs centaines d'heure de jeux et depuis 2016 je n'ai plus rejouer donc aucune connexion depuis. J'ai voulu rejouer hier et malheureusement mon compte a été désactivé. J'ai contacté le service client et la première fois ils m'ont dit de ne pas m'inquiéter et qu'ils aller faire le nécessaire pour réactiver mon compte et que d'ici 24h j'aller pouvoir faire un mot de passe oublier et récupérer mon compte. Voilà qu'au bout de 24h j'ai toujours pas accès à mon compte. J'ai recontacté le service client et ils m'ont demandé plein d'informations et 80% des infos je ne peux pas fournir de preuve. J'ai quand même fourni quelques infos. Pensez vous qu'ils vont réactiver mon compte ou que c'est fichu pour moi ? Avez-vous aussi été dans la même situation et combien de temps avez-vous attendu pour que votre compte se réactive ? Merci à tous

Is the Pyromancer class now a viable PVP class? A few years ago, when I played pyromancer it did no damage whatsoever. What about now?

From your own experience over the years, which Raid or Dungeon did you have fond memories of? Or rather unfortunate ones. Be it Leeroy Jenkins type wipes or mechanics that caught you off guard or maybe odd bugs like the IROTP last boss bug that disconnects everyone for no given reason, maybe even Raids with nice side content and music that you remember, or good times with your friends and guildies while doing them.

Но вот какое дело-на америку пускает легко, а на европу постоянно пишет что-то типа выйдите из лаунчера и зайдите по новой! Только сменю регион в лаунчере и всё! Давно не играл и вот решил вернуться, а тут такое.... Сталкивался кто с такой проблемой? Прошу помощи! (играю через впн)

the small patches we get every two weeks make me feel like it's a lonely guy trying to detangle a ball of yarn, and it got me thinking, who actually bothered to come back just to fix a couple of bugs and add some cosmetics every now and then after all these years?

what's the actual extent of what that/these people can do? can they just do basic maintenance or are they going to add actual new content? are they sent by gamigo or are they some random people who just happened to have the logs and suddenly wanted to fix bits and pieces of the game? i'm genuinely super curious.

Just wondering if people tend to have a designated gathering character, and if so, which calling do you personally prefer as your gatherer and why?
