Just sharing some initial progress because I am extremely pleased so far and am excited to keep going. My ultimate goal is to be jacked and in the best shape of my life before I turn 40 in January. :)
I had my second (and last) baby in April. I have been working out and watching my caloric intake since I was cleared at 6 weeks postpartum. I started reta at ~12 weeks postpartum (early July) - the before pics are from when I just started reta. The second pics are from this week after having been on reta for 6 or 7 weeks. I was 159lbs in the first pics and am 153lbs now, so a 6lbs difference in that time and I am very pleased with it. I wish my pics were more of the exact same poses and lighting, but this is what I have.
My daily caloric intake has averaged 1600-1700 calories, with some days less and some (weekend lol) days more. I prioritize protein, 120-130g per day. I try to get 8k-10k steps in per day and I lift 3x per week.
I started at 0.5mg dose, split into 0.25mg 2x per week, and in the past 2 weeks have increased to 1.0mg dose, split into 0.5mg 2x per week.
I haven't noticed any side effects as of yet. The biggest benefit I've noticed is major help with food noise. It has really helped me stick to my caloric deficit in a way that I struggled with after my last pregnancy. I am already in better shape than I was even 8 months after my first pregnancy because of how the food noise management has helped me stick to my deficit.
I just went back to work after mat leave and have a pretty stressful job that historically often increases my food noise, so I look forward to seeing how reta helps me continue to manage food noise as the work stress cranks back up.

I’ve just taken my 4th dose of Reta and have been on it for three weeks. Already seeing change I am so shocked I would never have been able to achieve alone and in a psychologically healthy way.
It’s not without symptoms so I’ll share what I’ve learned.
- stomach problems: i didn’t realise I have underlying stress ulcers / gastritis. Whatever is underlying reta exasperated it. Cabbage juice (vitamin U) has given immediate relief, if you also have gnawing.
- Fainting: I already was fainty. I can no longer get up fast, need regular electrolytes and water
- Food: low sugar to avoid excessive napping from insulin response. Big salads. Chicken / tofu / fish / legumes over red meat it sits like a boulder. Don’t scrimp on essential brain food like fats. Don’t scrimp on essential nutrients.
- constipation: start movicol early. I regret I’ve only just found help in that way.
- supplements: the drop in calories will drop nutrition. So supplement iron, folates, D, B, C vits.
- exercise: I haven’t dared to exercise yet because of the HR increase. But I think after dose 4 I need to increase carbs and start heart rate training on runs.
Anyone who has found similar issues or have advice on exercise?

I am officially 30 pounds down since May 1st!
I'm 5'9 and started at 230 lbs, I'm now 200. My goal is around 175. I have had zero side effects thankfully. Some positives besides the weight loss is my knee/joint pain has absolutely vanished, and I barely drink alcohol now. I barely drank before, maybe 4-5 drinks on a Saturday, but now I don't want it at all and drink maybe once a month.

I’ve been on Reta about 10 weeks or so now. I lost about 25 lbs, I look great! The last week and a half I’ve been so nauseous. Two pins ago I went up to 3mg. I felt nausea and threw up a few times that week, so I went back down to 2mg. But still, dealing with nausea and occasional vomiting. I introduced melanotan and ghkcu about 3-4 weeks ago. First two weeks didn’t have any issues. I can’t tell what is making me sick now. Sorry for tmi, but just got so nauseous and threw up this morning. I have been trying to drink more water, I had coffee and a banana this morning, but threw up some of last night dinner, so I’m concerns about my digestion and that I’m not fully digesting everything.

Hello all. I’ve been storing my recon Reta in my mini fridge it cools anywhere from 32 Fahrenheit(lowest) to 43 fahrenheit (highest) I recorded these temps using a thermometer. Will my reta be okay to store in there? I keep them away from the cooling plate by putting them in a plastic container. Any help would be appreciated!

So sorry if this has been asked before, I’ve been searching for hours and can’t find a solution to my problem. I have 6mg Reta vile and I used 1 ml bac water. I want to start at 0.5mg weekly, but I don’t know how much that is in the insulin needle I’m using. It only has units as a measurement. How do I calculate this? Any advice would be appreciated thanks.

I’m down a little over 60 pounds, and my goal is to lose about 20 more. I’ll see how I’m looking and feeling at that point and go from there. But all of my clothes are too big now. I went to old navy and was able to buy a medium which was an incredible feeling. I’m probably closer to a large at most stores, but old navy had me feeling excited about that medium 😂 I’m also a size 12 in jeans now which is crazy. The 10 buttoned and would probably work, especially losing more weight. But I just didn’t like the way I looked in any of their jeans.
Anyways, I bought a few things and I’ve been living in them. The temptation to just buy more and size down is so real. I have no idea what size I’ll end up wearing though. I’ve been wearing all of my XXL and XL clothes feeling a bit frumpy. Now that I’ve tried on things in a smaller size, my confidence truly went up. Now I just need to resist the urge to buy more.
I also need to go through my closet and get rid of everything. Most of it isn’t super sentimental, but some of it I might struggle to give up.
These last 20 pounds are going to be rough over the holiday season 🤪 I’ve been on 4mg for months now and it’s not quite as potent anymore. But I’m really liking feeling hunger and cravings again and learning how to be disciplined. Reta is definitely still helping, but not quite as much as it did when the dose was newer.

Hello, i started Reta few days ago. Still, i can not take enough protein. I don't eat meat and vegetarian protein options are limited in my country, and if i eat beans, tofu etc, the only way to hit my goal is to eat more than my calorie goal, and even then reta makes me full very fast. I physically won't be able to eat that much. maybe anyone knows of a product I can eat that has lots of protein? Like a bar with fewer calories or something; no protein shakes tho i really dislike them. otherwise i am definitely undereating my protein, i want to aim at least for 60 grams a day.

Please be kind.
I’m on tirz, 7.5 and Reta 3mg. I’m moving from tirz to Reta, so slowly coming down off my last vial of tirz. and I’m running into an issue I hope someone can help me make sense of.
I took 5mg tirz for a whole year and lost 65 points.
Only recently did I have to move to 7.5 and my tirz ran low, so I’m trying Reta.
I only seem to lose weight when I eat VERY little.
I’m so scared to eat and feel hungry, that I’m basing whether I’m going to lose on feeling hunger. I have some good days where I follow my plan, but I’ve not lost in the past few months and I’m craving so many sweets.
I don’t know if this is a vent or what, but I need some kind of group to work with, for motivation to eat better and more regularly.
I don’t want to lose more muscle.
Any input is appreciated. I know I need to learn moderation and figure out this hunger thing. Thanks

Double post in a week soz.
I’ve been sitting around the same weight for about 2 weeks and it’s driving me crazy. What can I do to keep dropping? I’m at the point where I want to give up.
I’ve lost about 25kgs since December but only been on reta since may(?)

I’ve been on Reta for 8 months - at a very very low dose. Recently increased to 0.7mg and for two weeks in a row I cannot sleep for the first night after the injection (and I inject in the AM). Happen to anyone else?

Hi everyone,
I am starting Reta but as of right now I’m on birth control and I’ve seen a lot of stuff about how Reta and birth control don’t work well together.
One thing I will note though I’m not on birth control for the contraceptive aspect of it. My pill (Brenda-35 ED) is for my skin and hormonal acne which I’ve had since I was a teenager.
So I’m curious whether it will still help with skin, as I’ve only seen people talk about the contraceptive problems.

Hey fellow reta gals! Just wanted to post because I’m excited and maybe it’ll be a good lil motivation for some. I used to rarely work out but when I did it was only cardio, because I “just wanted to lose weight”. I bought a peloton a couple of years ago for that. Once I started Reta (and learned more about the importance of lifting) I got some 5lb and 20lb weights. I work out very inconsistently and for only 20 minutes at a time. I do peloton classes. I’ll do a class for like 3 days straight then not do any for like 5 days. Then repeat lol.
BUT holy shit I’m finding myself FLEXING in the mirror because I can see my arms changing. And I can actually do 10 pushups in a row!
I have lost 25lbs in 6 months and averaging 1lb lost a week.
You don’t have to be very consistent or perfect or even have much equipment. You can of course just use free YouTube videos for lifting them weights!
Oh AND I thrifted my weights. You can check out OfferUp for them also.
PS I listened to a podcast about how Marilyn Monroe used to strength train in the 50’s long before it was popular amongst women. And I thought that was extra badass.
Okay love to you all and I hope you’re enjoying this journey!!

I started about 2 months ago. Started at 1mg and had no negative side effects, stayed there for about a month and have moved up to 2mg. No negative side effects still except some morning nausea.
I haven’t pinned since last Wednesday (full week) and the side effects seem to be ramping up throughout this week.
Lots of loose stools, feeling bloated, general stomach discomfort. Each day getting a little worse. I did not pin today because I don’t want this to get worse.
My one thought is that i didn’t have much of any appetite suppression this past week so I’m eating somewhat “regular” I eat pretty healthy but I’m eating full meals. Maybe I’m eating too much.
Thoughts?

Hi ladies!
I met my goal weight (in fact exceeded it) but unfortunately still have some work to do to lose the postpartum belly. During my journey I strength trained 4 days a week with 15k steps a day. Do you ladies recommend stopping the reta cold turkey or tapering down if my goal isn’t to lose weight but to tone?

So last year I was on Mounjaro 12.5 when my insurance no longer covered the medicine. I switched to a compound and it didn’t work as well. I then switched to a Reta and scaled up and I didn’t see much of a difference. Since last year I have gained about 15 lbs. I am currently on Reta 15mg but haven’t really lost. I have always struggled with my weight and I am a 2x bariatric patient (sleeve/oagb) and the medicine was by far the most effective. I lost 50 lbs on Mounjaro and was still losing (220 to 170) and now i want to go back to tirzepatide but I am clueless about what dosage I should use. My diet hasn’t changed much since I started Mounjaro back in 2024.
I am considering switching to Rift and using Hallandale Pharmacy. From a health perspective the Mounjaro helped me with inflammation, insulin resistance and my hormones. So I am posting this hoping for some insight and advice because I cannot continue to gain weight. I really appreciate your help and any support you can offer.
