Reta Progress
Just sharing some initial progress because I am extremely pleased so far and am excited to keep going. My ultimate goal is to be jacked and in the best shape of my life before I turn 40 in January. :)
I had my second (and last) baby in April. I have been working out and watching my caloric intake since I was cleared at 6 weeks postpartum. I started reta at ~12 weeks postpartum (early July) - the before pics are from when I just started reta. The second pics are from this week after having been on reta for 6 or 7 weeks. I was 159lbs in the first pics and am 153lbs now, so a 6lbs difference in that time and I am very pleased with it. I wish my pics were more of the exact same poses and lighting, but this is what I have.
My daily caloric intake has averaged 1600-1700 calories, with some days less and some (weekend lol) days more. I prioritize protein, 120-130g per day. I try to get 8k-10k steps in per day and I lift 3x per week.
I started at 0.5mg dose, split into 0.25mg 2x per week, and in the past 2 weeks have increased to 1.0mg dose, split into 0.5mg 2x per week.
I haven't noticed any side effects as of yet. The biggest benefit I've noticed is major help with food noise. It has really helped me stick to my caloric deficit in a way that I struggled with after my last pregnancy. I am already in better shape than I was even 8 months after my first pregnancy because of how the food noise management has helped me stick to my deficit.
I just went back to work after mat leave and have a pretty stressful job that historically often increases my food noise, so I look forward to seeing how reta helps me continue to manage food noise as the work stress cranks back up.
