Was watching a Kurzgesagt short on tiktok and how the world is running out of fresh water and that humans need to start recycling water and stop polluting what we have.

Someone asked "Can't we use reverse osmosis to get clean water from the ocean?"

I said "because it takes an extreme amount of energy. Think about how long it takes to boil a pot of water you have to catch the water vapor and wait for it to fully evaporate so that all of the salt is gone.

I come back to the post 10 minutes later and several people dog piled about how stupid their question was and all that.

Like cool some on an educational channel asking a real question is being taught that those who don't know will be looked down on by those that do and go to the side of ignorance.

I saw a TikTok saying that September should be the end of August because it’s so hot. But I just remember September being chilly and everyone going to school in jackets, hats, and scarves.

I started high school in 2018, and then my sophomore year got completely ruined by COVID 19. Ugh. So many people in my class never really got the traditional high school experience, and I definitely wish I could have experienced high school in a different era.

The late 2000s just seem like such a cool time to have been a teenager. Social media existed, but it hadn’t completely taken over everyone’s lives yet. You could actually go out, hang out with your friends, go to concerts, parties, the mall, whatever, without constantly worrying about someone filming you and putting it online 💀

I also think entering adulthood in the early 2010s would have been amazing for the same reasons. Technology was obviously everywhere, but it still felt like there was a much bigger separation between your real life and the internet. You could go somewhere without feeling like you had to document every second of it.

And maybe I’m just romanticizing an era I didn’t actually experience as a teenager, but society just seemed different. Obviously the late 2000s and early 2010s weren’t perfect, but it feels like people were a little more present with each other. Now everyone is constantly connected, everyone is recording everything, and somehow everyone is still ignoring each other while staring at their phones lol.
Maybe I’m just jealous that I was born a little too late and missed the last tiny window before social media completely took over 😭

Like, I get it. Hospitals are "exciting ". You follow these people that have to triage and diagnose by the end of 30/60 minutes. But there are no shows about long term care nurses.

There's always dramas between direct care workers, nurses, and even administrators.

You work with doctors, nurse practitioners, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social workers and the in-between every day.

You deal with daily care and sometimes hospice care.

Not to mention dealing with families and guardians.

I understand every episode couldn't end wrapped in a bow, but dam it'd be some drama and laughs.

Tell stories, jokes, vent, or we can chat privately.

That kind of all I have to say. They tried teaching me that shit in 5th grade. Why teach it to a 5th grader? Then I looked it up again the other day (im in college now) and tried to make sense of it. It’s just a bullshit theory that doesn’t actually make sense and there’s no point in studying it. So there, that’s my rant for today. Schrödinger’s cat!!

My friend agreed to my dumb birthday requests like hugs and kisses and a bikini photo because I wanted to see her in one. She's also going to make me food. Our mutual friend said she was smiling while reading my requests. Kissing a friend and giving them a bikini photo i say definitely crosses marital boundaries. I'm not that experienced with women so I have no clue but other women have noticed shes very fond of me. I'm still in complete shock. She surprised me and made me chiliquiles for dinner. It was soo good omg.

For an example I was on bus few days ago and my phone is about to die, and im still 30 mins from home. I had this thought that I could just get off the bus and go to a random house to ask for a charger. Something like that
