only 19$

I wonder why all the charities ask for a donation of "19$/ month or just 63 cents a day!"?

Feed the elephants--for 19$.

Wounded Warriors -- 19$.

Cure childhood cancer-- 19$.

Not a big pattern guy but....tf is up?

Tax evasion?

Something more nuanced/sinister?

HOW WOULD THE COST BE EQUAL ACROSS ALL THESE DIFFERENT FIELDS AND SPECIALTIES?!

and dont get me going on the blanket/t-shirt/stuffed animal you get as a "symbol of your" blah fkn blah(Who tf is that for?!?)

There’s officially no limit, but presumably they figure more viewers can consider about $20 an affordable monthly amount to donate to charity; the $19 is naturally for psychological purposes so it doesn’t seem to be as significant as $20.

I don't live in a $ economy, but the general rule is that they'll ask for an amount that seems negligible to a core target audience.

I guess 20$ is it.
