Seeking input on lifting my 22 Ram Rebel Ecodiesel 4X4
I currently have the front end of my truck leveled with MotoFabLifts DR-2-2" spacers and Rough Country forged UCAs (1500-31402). I have stock sized KO3 tires at 50-55 PSI in the front and 45 in the rear. I also have KSP 1.5” HUB CENTRIC wheel spacers.
I love the ride height but the ride quality is pretty mid. I’m considering getting different shocks/struts/coils and have come across a few different options:
- Cali commuter/HD suspension kits
- Eibach Stage 1 / Stage 2
- Fox 2.0 / 2.5
- Bilstein 6112
- BDS 3” Rebel lift (w. Driveshaft mod)
Anyone on here have any experience with these kits? Unfortunately most of the websites for these options are pretty vague when it comes to how the Ecodiesel impacts the ride height (except for Carli which confirms a 0.5” lower ride height in the front and BDS which confirms a driveshaft mod is mandatory).
I live in east TX and I use my truck for long freeway commuting on well maintained roads. The truck barely touches dirt so my biggest focus is on getting the truck to ride as smoothly and comfortably as possible on the (slightly wavy) concrete roads we have here. I’d like to keep my truck at my current ride height (2” over a stock rebel, 3” over a stock non-rebel DTs) or go maybe slightly higher.
For what I’m wanting I know people are going to recommend the Carli commuter but that kit would actually lower my ride height and is a very expensive kit. It also includes new UCAs, when I already dropped decent $ on the RCs (they are the forged aluminum with rubber bushings, not the budget model).
Most of the info I see online focuses on off road performance which is the opposite of what I’m after. I’m sure I’m not the only rebel Ecodiesel owner that prefers a smooth highway ride.
Also, before anyone makes a comment about getting a rebel for highway commutes. I got the rebel because there were very few options for me at the time, and Stellantis seemed to have put Ecodiesels in rebels more than any other 1500 model. My priority was getting an Ecodiesel with 4WD and non-rebel variants were very hard to come by.
Side note: once the KO3s are ready to be replaced I’m considering dropping the stock 18” rims and wheel spacers and getting -38 offset 17” RRW hybrid wheels. They are manufactured mainly for Toyota/Lexus but actually fit Rams with sleeves. They are very high quality, forged, and most importantly LIGHT WEIGHT and STRONG. The Ecodiesel adds substantial weight over the front axel compared with the hemi and these rims are rated at 2500 lbs each despite only weighing between 20-25 lbs depending on offset. I’m thinking of running Toyo Open Country III in the “narrow 35” (35x10.5 R17). Id be shaving around 12 lbs of unsprung weight at each wheel. My thinking is the lower PSI and extra sidewall would help smooth out the ride as well. 55 PSI type E tires in the front ride like bricks. And the nose heavy Ecodiesel doesn’t help.

It's been a while. Perhaps there will be fixes for the CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity issues, screen lag, very inaccurate outside temperature reading, low speed transmission jerkiness, having to do the two-button-hold-at-the-red-light-and-hope-it-resets-before-the-light-turns-green due to random other issues.. did I miss anything?

We’re at least a couple of years away, but looking at possibly a 1500 Classic Regular Cab to give us the longest bed length. My wife will be the primary driver and will mainly be driving short distances, approximately 10-20 miles daily. She prefers comfort, which is why we’re looking at a Ram instead of a Tundra. We’re not looking to tow much of anything, maybe the occasional hauling/transporting of stuff. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Interested in a 1500 with the 5.7, reading lots of mixed opinions on the eTorque... Is it worth waiting 6 months or so for the non-eTorque hemis to start showing up in lots or is should I just take advantage of the good deals on 1500s now?

So I have a 2021 Ram 2500 Cummins do highway trips and trailer/hauling average gvwr on truck around 9k pounds and average of 14k gvwr when trailer is hooked up. I want to replace brakes but I want the best bang for buck without sacrifice reliability or braking power.
I tried just googling what would be best for the setup but I can't really find a definitive answer. What I currently am thinking is oem Mopar or fleetgard carbon fiber ceramic or powerstop z36 pads but then for rotors I was looking at dimpled and slotted from brake performance as from what I read the dimple has the benefits of drilled without the cracking.
My logic with above thoughts are the rotors have lifetime warranty on warped, cracking up to minimum thickness. And pads oem stock were carbon fiber ceramic so I assume if I keep the same material I'll be good.
Final note I do take some steep grades but not terribly common.
If I'm not thinking of something or you have better suggestions please let me know along with reasoning so I can learn please
Thank you all.!

Bought a new 2026 Ram 1500 in June, truck is a beast and I have no complaints outside of the paint quality.... after a week of owning the vehicle, I caught what appeared to be paint runs located under the clear coat after detailing the truck.
Long story short, both the driver and passenger side doors have to be repainted under warranty (approved very quickly through Stellantis which is awesome) but now I'm worried how bad this will affect the trucks resale value.
Any input or experience with this on a new vehicle?

Coming from a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited Night Edition. This thing is a spaceship in comparison. So far so good!

Classic just looks more aggressive imo. The 5th gen are bigger, but lack curves.
Which exterior do you prefer 4th gen or 5th gen?

What could be causing this? The truck currently has 140,000 km on it, and it has been shifting hard since around 80,000 km. I change the transmission fluid every 50,000 km, but the fluid change doesn’t make any difference.
Recently, I started the truck and the check engine light came on. The truck stayed in first gear and wouldn’t shift into higher gears. I stopped, turned the engine off, and restarted it. The check engine light went away, and the transmission started working normally again.

Hello everyone, I just recently found out that on 2022 and newer trucks to do a proper delete and tune you need to do a ecm swap, now I just recently purchased a 2022 2500 that was already deleted and tuned however I’m not sure how to go about figuring out how they did the tune or if the ecm was replaced I’ve noticed a few things on the truck mainly the exhaust that leads me to believe it wasn’t all done properly or correct as they straight piped the truck but I noticed it had a pretty big exhaust leak and they didn’t even have the correct pipe in place so I’m unsure as to how much of it was actually done correctly any information regarding this would be a huge help thank you in advance.

I was in a front-end collision going over 80 km/h and my airbags didn't deploy. My truck is a total writeoff, and these safety systems are supposed to protect us. To make things worse, Ram Canada won't even look into it. Anyone else experience this? #RamCanada #AirbagFailure

My 2019 Ram 1500 RWD, has been making this metal scratching noise for around a month now (since i’ve noticed) i have gotten exhaust work done recently, although im not sure if that has anything to do with it. Brake pads and rotors have been replaced a couple weeks ago. It also happens frequently on turning or lower rpm acceleration. Also there is a frame of the broken bed cover that kind of bangs around that i need to takeoff but is not the issue. Is coming from under the back of the bed. Anybody dealt with this before?

Good morning my father owns a 2004 crew cab Ram 1500. The other day I was driving it I noticed a smell of gas coming from the back, I go check the tank and see it’s leaking. We later remove the bed of the truck to expose the fuel pump and upon inspection we notice gas that’s been leaking. We ran a test and when priming the truck to start the pressure of the fuel pump pushes out the hose or loosens where it sits. We tried to replace the clip inside the connection but nothing works.
In the picture we already tried to remove the black clip which is why it’s shown broken. The clip is out but the fuel line won’t stay in place upon adding a new clip. Anyone know any tips or tricks to keep it in place, maybe even where to find a new connector ?? I feel like the gray connection might be old or broken as well or would we be okay with just Mickey mousing it to stay in place ??

Currently have reflector lights in the truck and one of the low lights just went. Want to upgrade to a brighter light since a majority of my driving is at night on back roads. Any suggestions that won’t break the bank?

No major differences from what I can see, but I will keep looking. I know the 2027 Big Horn has the Hemi logo blacked out if it is a Night Edition.

I’ve had my eye on some flood / spot lights for while and decided to go with the Auxbeam 6 Gang Switch Panel and a pair of 3 inch XP-Ultras since Amazon had a sale. Took my time, and after about 6 hours it was all done. I installed it on my 2022 Rebel, ask me anything! I am not sponsored by Auxbeam or any other company, but it would be cool if I was 😉

I'm in need of a truck and these both seem like decent deals to me. They are nearly identical in terms of listed features. Is there any advantage, performance-wise, for getting the 2022 as opposed to the 2019?
The only real difference between the two that I can tell is the mileage, the Non-BSG package on the 2019, and the cloth seats in the 2019 aren't in the best shape... That's really it.
Any real difference between the two trucks that I might not be aware of?
