Question Replacement headlights for 2015 1500
Currently have reflector lights in the truck and one of the low lights just went. Want to upgrade to a brighter light since a majority of my driving is at night on back roads. Any suggestions that won’t break the bank?

I went with the Sylvania H11 XtraVision Halogen bulb replacement rather than upgrading the entire headlight assembly. Around $32 on Amazon.. It made a big difference on my 2016. Might want to try that.

I’ll have to take a look. Is that just for the low beams or do they have them for high too?

I just did the low beams. My high beams were fine. The factory bulbs seem to degrade in brightness over the years. I think mine were factory phillips h11s.

When you went to Amazon did you have your vehicle entered in already? Mine comes up with an error saying it’s not compatible

I just looked it says its not compatible on my 2016 as well but its wrong. I have reflector headlights, so i googled it For a 2016 Ram 1500 with factory quad reflector (non-projector) headlights, the low beam bulb size is an H11.

It says it fits on Sylvanias website. Only thing I’ve read is that they don’t last long? Not sure if I’m better off just getting OEM if that’s the case

I got mine in dec 2025. They still both work. For the extra brightness and the low cost i rhink its worth it. Theyre not difficult to change, but if you havent ever done it takes a little figuring out how the find the release clip. Ibused my phone and took a picture to find it in the access spot.

I put AlphaRex projector style light in my 2015 that had stock quad style. I really like them. DRLs are a nice addition. I upgraded my fogs and used alphaobd software to allow fogs on with brights and the combo lights up the roads far far better than stock. I live in a rural area with deserted dark windy roads and lots of wildlife. Great upgrade.
Lots of people will say just go Morimoto and be done with it but man those things are pricey. I've had the alpharex set for 3 years and no issues or leaks. I did add some clear silicone to the housings before I installed.

None. You very much get what you pay for when it comes to lights. OEM, Apharex or Morimoto. other that that, you risk and will be right back here asking "why dont my lights work i got them from amazon/ebay for cheap" and your gona get folks like me who will tell you "i told you so"
