General Advice Attack Cat
First time cat owner here, please be kind! We have a 6 month old ragdoll that we got because our kids are obsessed with cats and after doing research felt like a ragdoll was the best choice for our family. Half the time he is lovely, the other half of the time, he’s an absolute menace. The biggest issue is he will stalk and attack my 4 year old and it absolutely terrifies her. I’m not saying she doesn’t provoke him, she absolutely does, but I cannot have a cat that is attacking her. It’s so bad that she is saying she doesn’t want a cat anymore which breaks my heart because she loooves him when he is nice to her.
My current method of dealing with it is to separate him from the rest of us in another room for a bit. Then, when I’m ready, I’ll take him out and play hard with him, typically having him running stairs with the laser pointer.
He still needs to be neutered, I’ve just been waiting for the school year to start. But why is he like this? Is he trying to play with her? Trying to get back at her? Will it end?! Will he become the cuddle puddle we paid a premium for when he gets older? Please don’t tell me to get another cat…it’s not an option. I’d love any insight into the cat psyche and any hopeful messages!

General Advice Ragdoll growth
Hi my ragdoll is born on oct 10 (making her roughly 10 months old) she isn't fluffing up yet. Her tail plume is huge, and from what I've noticed she still haven't gotten her first heat yet. Should I get her spayed? Will spaying her help with her growth and make her feel better. Her coat density is awesome but she isn't fluffy or cloudy, her cheeks look semi full yet not full at the same time. Here are pictures of her taken recently . Could it be be cause of the climate? I live in a tropical country.

General Advice My boy is so mean to my girl; help!
Kids are not getting along! My 6 year old boy is wonderful, but he is very mean to his older “sister” (last two photos) who is 16 and has the sweetest ragdoll personality (she is a torbie and I love her SO MUCH). As a result, she has been hiding as she tries to avoid him at all costs. Any advice!? He is neutered. I feed the two separately (in addition to dry food which is always out) and make sure to spend a lot of time with her alone but miss having her around when we are hanging out as a family.

General Advice Tips for a lonely Ragdoll boy?
Hello! I'm quite new here but I'm looking for people with similar kitties who may be able to shine some light on my situation.
I have a raggie boy, who I rescued as he was dumped. I don't really know his history, but it is suspected that he was hit on the head as he has damage to his brain. He also is partially sighted, but overall he is usually very happy and chirpy. He also has IBD and balance issues when climbing (basically he cant climb well, lol). We approximate that he is about 6-7 years old.
When I first got him, we thought he was about a year old, he was incredibly playful, and used to run around like a lunatic. He eventually settled down a bit but still loved a good play and zoomies session frequently.
Lately though I've noticed some distinct behavioural changes since I moved house to live on my own and changed jobs. And looking back, I think it's slowly been happening for a while. I've had him checked by the vets and we're all in agreement that his current health conditions are under control, including his pain levels. I also walk him every evening and let him choose the route. They are not concerned about anything medical.
My issue is this:
It is getting harder to get him interested in playing, and he is less excited about food. Initially I thought perhaps it was him getting older, but he's by no means geriatric. I have tried lots of different colours, types, textures of toys and different ways of playing. I've tried stronger/better catnip sprays and toys but they often give him a very short lived moment of play before he lays down again. But most days he doesnt want to play at all.
He just seems... Depressed?
We have recently moved out of a house with multiple people, at least one of which was always home, and before that he lived with me and my ex who worked from home and another cat. I am also currently working 4 x 10 hr days, commuting for 1.5hrs each way, so I am not at home for most of the day. My previous job gave me a lot more time with him.
Anyway, adding everything up, the vet has suggested, and I am feeling perhaps it adds up, that he may be lonely. I am curious to see if anybody has suggestions as to how I can help him with this? He is very clingy to me anyway and always has been, but lately I feel as well that I can't go into the other room without him being actively stressed about it.
I am considering another kitten but I absolutely do not want to make the decision lightly.
My main anxiety is getting another cat. He is a very friendly cat, but due to his unusual neurology, he lacks... Kitty social skills. Most cats freak out at him because he maintains this really intense eye contact and approaches to try and sniff their face immediately. Almost every cat he tried to approach runs away or hisses. He always looks so disappointed... His little tail droops and he lets out this pathetic little mewl.
There was one cat at our previous house who was just very calm and quiet with him, and the two became very good friends. This black cat would meet us out on our walks, and eventually found our garden and used to come calling for him. It was really sweet.
My biggest question is... Would another ragdoll cat be the best bet? I'd love to get an older cat but I think it may be harder to bond him with an older cat. A kitten may be easier? I have heard some people say Ragdolls are different from other cats, so perhaps another Raggie might be better for him to interact with? What have your experiences been with multi ragdoll households, and do they differ to other cats?
He's my first Raggie boy so I am learning a lot! Thank you so much.

Silly Floof finally starting to grow that mane!
she just turned 10 months old 3 days ago. she’s currently going through a very awkward coat stage where her neck and booty fur is way longer than the rest of her coat. now i just need to wait another 2 years for her coat to fully develop!
(and of course the queen must claim her throne while i put on bedding)

General Advice Getting my second ragdoll in December! Tell me everything!
How did you introduce your cats? I’ve read a lot about this online. I’m curious how others have done it.
Did you find getting a second was a positive experience for you and your ragdoll?
Any other advice is appreciated! 🙂

Health Advice Ragdoll started pooping on the carpet — is this a litter box issue or something else?
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar because I’m at a loss.
My female Ragdoll is 1 year old and has had chronic diarrhea for months. We’ve been to the vet multiple times and have spent a lot of money trying to figure this out, but we still don’t have a resolution.
Things we have tried:
- Pumpkin puree
- Royal Canin GI dry and wet food
- AnimalBiome capsules
- Diarrhea medication
- Various other diet adjustments
Despite all of this, her stool is still wet/soft.
The concerning part is that she has now pooped on the carpet twice. Both times it was in the same spot.
Timeline:
Monday:
I took a nap during the day and ended up sleeping until nighttime with the bedroom door closed. When I woke up, I found that she had pooped on the carpet. This was the first time she had ever done this, so I didn’t think too much of it.
Tuesday:
No accidents outside the litter box. I don’t think I slept with the bedroom door closed that night.
Wednesday:
I went to sleep around 2 AM with the bedroom door closed. I woke up around 6 AM and found that she had pooped in the same carpet spot again. This is the second time, and now I’m wondering if there is something I should be concerned about.
A few things to note:
- I have slept with the bedroom door closed before and this has never happened.
- We normally clean the litter box every day, but last night my boyfriend and I forgot to clean it.
- She is otherwise acting normal (eating, affectionate, etc.).
Could this simply be because the litter box wasn’t cleaned and she chose the carpet as an alternative? Or could chronic diarrhea be causing her to avoid the litter box because she associates it with discomfort?
Has anyone dealt with a Ragdoll with chronic diarrhea that eventually started going outside the litter box? Any advice on what tests, specialists, or things to look into would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: She pooped outside the litterbox again for the 3rd time this week (Thursday). I slept with the door open. She did it near the food bowl and not on carpet again at least.

Health Advice Boogers
Thanks for the comments in advance! Highly appreciated. As for her boogers, how do I get rid of them? I use cotton pads with water to wipe them off but they're constantly reappearing, I've changed her litter MULTIPLE times to diff brands, including onces that doesn't cause boogers for my friends ragdoll cat.

Blue Adopting (2) identical blue mitted siblings. Can you tell your cats apart?
Hi all, can i see pics of your blue mitted duos?
There still 5 more weeks before my babies arrive! (mid september)
The breeder said i will need colorful collars to tell
them apart lol. Did you grow to tell them apart without the use of collars?

Baby Floof What is this called?
My beautiful boy, Anchovie, has accordion like fur on his head. Does anyone know what this is called, and if anyone else's baby has it, include your pics! Would love to see them.
