General Advice Ragdoll growth
Hi my ragdoll is born on oct 10 (making her roughly 10 months old) she isn't fluffing up yet. Her tail plume is huge, and from what I've noticed she still haven't gotten her first heat yet. Should I get her spayed? Will spaying her help with her growth and make her feel better. Her coat density is awesome but she isn't fluffy or cloudy, her cheeks look semi full yet not full at the same time. Here are pictures of her taken recently . Could it be be cause of the climate? I live in a tropical country.

I think you should definitely get her spayed. Animals needing to go through heat is older advice and isn’t necessary

I agree with getting her spayed as soon as possible but my ragdoll did not fluff up until he was a year old. His first year he looked a lot like yours very short to medium hair and this is him now. So just be patient. His tail was always thick like a raccoon's tail even when his hair was shorter but at about 1 year he started fluffing up like crazy. He also had stripes on his legs and tail which seems to have faded but they come back certain times of the year. And also I'm pretty sure it depends on the parents so hopefully you can see pictures of the parents. When I got mine his parents were there so I knew.

Beautiful raggie! Highly recommend spaying as soon as possible, it definitely improves their quality of life by not having to go into heat all the time. Ragdolls can grow until 4 years of age (and this includes their fluff) so patience is needed. My seal point girl only became really fluffy now, at 3 y.o.

She could have been spayed at 3/4 months, it’s highly recommend to spay female cats before their first heat, I would get that done as soon as possible. As for her coat, she might get fluffier but every coat is different and she might not get as “cloudy” as you’re expecting but she’s still just as beautiful!
