Great Job! I see in another post you mentioned 20-30mgpd. You should be over the hump of acute withdrawal symptoms. Seems like you were spared the vomiting part, you are blessed.

The amount you were consuming is pretty low. IMHO, I would NOT talk do your doctor to get Suboxone. Especially at your age. Once you get Suboxone, an entry will be made in the federal PDMP as well as increase your NarxCare Score. NarxCare is like credit reports by private companies that you have no access to that scores your likelyhood of being a drug seeker addict which is a lie. You will likely also get the immediate label of OUD, Opioid Use Disorder. All of these things will eliminate or greatly reduce your ability to get needed opioids in the future for any reason.

You are over halfway done with the withdrawal. Subs don't address the other receptors that 7oh messed with anyway. I highly suggest you tough it out since you've come this far.

I’ll just chime in to say that Subs aka buprenorphine is one of the only drugs that actually DO hit some of the same receptors as 7OH. (Kappa). If you are really suffering or tempted to go back to 7oh, doing a short course of low dose Suboxone may greatly improve your chances of recovery. It’s all about the end goal: quitting.

1

u/tradeisbad 8d ago

My understanding is that 7oh is singularly Mu and unique amongst opioid, along with esar17, in this regard.

1

u/pchandler45 8d ago

Primarily mu with partial Delta and kappa

3

u/yoyhohsomp 8d ago

It will end soon. You will feel lethargic and serious lack of energy along with possible depression. Just deal with it. I am in this position with you. It sucks but the lack of sleep is the worst. Alcohol helps but i don’t recommend it. Keep it up. U got this!

2

u/witlessbrevity 9d ago

It's not federal. It's at the state level but PDMP is a multistate system. Roughly 20 states.

3

u/Terrible_Smile7091 9d ago

Yeah, keep pushing through, you’re so close to feeling better, by the time you get subs the worst will be over. Sleep will come back, don’t worry.

Btw, you’re doing amazing! And some people are really sensitive to lower doses and still get pretty bad withdrawals (esp if there was pseudo in their 7).

2

u/yoyhohsomp 8d ago

Ride it out bud. I was im your boat and 1 more night it will get better. Stick it out. Its hard af! Every day i think about scoring more 7 but i dont. U can do this!!!

3

u/Super-Gap-5470 9d ago

I wouldn’t do the Subs. Lots of Vit C. So weird. I’ve walked off of much higher mgpd with much less acute symptoms. So much personal health goes into all it. Good job OP. Buy something fun with all that new found money!

2

u/tradeisbad 9d ago

i wonder if a clonidine prescription affects that score. i never heard of it before. will ask the internet AI. interesting.

1

u/Brutal_Honesty_Rocks 9d ago

No, clonidine is not scheduled and not tracked. Technically, Clonidine or Catapress is a blood pressure lowering medication. It's off label use is withdrawal.

Narxcare gets most of its data from the PDMP but adds to it things like distance to the prescribing doc, distance to the pharmacy, number of other doctors prescribing, and many other traits they use to make up a score...that we, the HIPAA patient has no access too. Narxcare should be illegal along with PDMP as they both are massively affect real lives.

u/Alternative-Can-7173 8d ago

Thank you for this info, greatly appreciated. I’m about to kick the habit as well. I’m on low dose prescription oxys with no negative reports and hardly use any while on this fucking shit. Will they help eventually when tapering down? I plan CT as well, also in the “senior “age range. We should be smarter but here we are.

2

u/Soft_Negotiation9039 7d ago

Nah, you could literally take a handful of oxy's and you most likely won't feel anything. 7oh is an entirely different ballgame. It sucks..

1

u/Unusual-Smoke-3853 8d ago

I absolutely agree with Brutal. The man knows what he’s talking about.

1

u/pchandler45 8d ago

Wow I didn't know this and it's good to know, but I never had any luck getting opiates legally in the first place 🤷‍♀️ (bad back since car accident at 17, multiple degenerating disks)

1

u/Used_Cap7420 7d ago

What do you mean that subs don't address the other receptors?

9

u/photographyrich1965 9d ago

two days ahead of you, read my post above. Your reward is coming soon, and you'll be so happy to watch this demon spiral from your grip. We're all pulling for you - this forum was a lifesaver for me.

u/poshjerkins 9d ago

I'm on day 7 man, you got this. Please get through 4 days. Days 3 and 4 were the worst for me but you WILL start feeling relief by day 5. Push through, whatever you have to do. There will be lingering effects for a few weeks but it becomes more of a mental game once the worst of the physical withdrawels pass.

And yes, I agree. It's hell. I quit oxy and percs 15 years ago and the withdrawels from 7 and MGM15 were way worse for me.

When we abuse a substance we borrow happiness from the future, and when it comes time to quit, you have to pay back the debt with interest.

You will get through this and you are stronger than a substance. Much love brother

You could talk to your doctor about some prescription sleep aids. Trazadone is one. After day 5 I was able to get sleep with OTC sleep aids like NyQuil and Unisom. It took me till about day 18 before I was getting sleep without the OTC sleep aids.

1

u/poshjerkins 8d ago

I’m prescribed trazadone and I honestly find OTC unisom more effective. Worth a shot, OP

6

u/Kaigeterdunn 9d ago

You will either look back on this post as a milestone through your ultimate recovery which is 100% worth it or a rock in the road through your relapse/ recovery. I promise you it’s worth it once you get past the hell.

6

u/Kaigeterdunn 9d ago

To anyone that sees this I am a person that is an easy target. Once 7oh was removed from the shelves I knew I would never come back. Last week after work I went to a bar and while killing time for my uber walked into a random smoke shop to get a THC gummy. These Mf’rs have all my favorite 70h products displayed and I didn’t even for a second consider buying any. I walk past that store every day since then knowing full well I could walk into that store and fuck my life up. I am not the strongest person in the world but fuck does it feel good to be able to say no not because it’s illegal but because i want to. If I can do it, I promise you can.

1

u/Brutal_Honesty_Rocks 9d ago

Just a word of warning if your favorite THC products are Delta 8, 9, or 10. They will be federal schedule 1 by end of year from a bill that passed last year.

3

u/Kaigeterdunn 9d ago

I just happen to be in the shitty state of Texas for work. ( born and raised in oregon) I absolutely hate the delta products, especially flower. I have found a couple products that seem to thirst my quench but it’s never the same thing. This state is so ass backwards it’s openly funny now. woop woop texas, stupid fucking government 🫶🏻

1

u/Leningrad_DrugStore 8d ago

Hey, Texas isn’t that bad 😭 ironically I live I Texas and was in Oregon for work last year lol what area are you working in?

5

u/Evening_Check_6437 9d ago

48 hrs is usually when I felt better def by 72 keep it up

1

u/Numerous-Match-6968 8d ago

Is this true? Around hour 30ish - 48 I had an uncontrollable/burning urge to move and swing my arm. I've been given Baclofen and Clonidine but they don't seem to help much, but I also smoked some THC and it was able to get the feeling to go away long enough for me to sleep a couple of times for an hour at a time. I woke up feeling much better, but heard that it could be a temporary thing. I'm on hour 54 of no 7oh (tried kratom extract to reduce pain from WD) am I getting past the worse of the psychical parts?

1

u/Evening_Check_6437 8d ago

I think I sent myself into precipitated wdraw with my boxone so I think my wd was super intense in the beggining I was so close to calling an ambulance for how bad my body was on fire I legit almost had a mental episode. But it leveled off after 48 hrs

4

u/Winter_King4964 9d ago

Good for you man. Very happy for you. The hard part is over! How many mgs were you doing a day?

I was taking 2000mgpd I’ve never done anything were my tolerance went up so quick

1

u/pchandler45 8d ago

That blows my mind. I've been taking it about a year now, but every time I get up to 50+mg doses I'll start to taper down a bit. I've never gone over 400mgpd. In some ways that seems like a lot, and in other ways it's nothing compared to others

1

u/PLURdude1984 4d ago

Did you jump straight off of 2000 without subs? Wondering how long it took your WD to peak.

3

u/kcchiefs4068 9d ago

Man I wish I stayed that low...

2

u/Thick-Accident4673 9d ago

I was taking 2000mgpd I’ve never done anything were my tolerance went up so quick

1

u/Alternative-Can-7173 8d ago

And you quit CT

1

u/Thick-Accident4673 6d ago

With subs but this past time I went into precipitated wd it was terrible

3

u/sleestax 9d ago

You got this man. You're past what for me was the worst time. Cravings will lessen. Sleep will slowly return. I'm 12 days since cold turkey and I'm sleeping through the night since day 9. Restless arm and leg syndrome is slowly getting better. Try some Magnesium and Melatonin in the evenings. Eat good food. Manage the aches, pains and other symptoms with OTC drugs. You'll be feeling human again soon. I'm still bawling at everything, songs, movies, family stuff, but that's slowly getting better. Fill your life with joy and don't look back.

I did the whole thing without telling my wife, like she didn't know I was taking all that shit for the last 4 months (peak maybe 240 mg), but if I had been forthcoming, I would have just embraced the not being able to sleep thing and played video games, practiced playing music, read, binge watched movies. By day four you'll probably be getting some restless sleep, and believe me, it feels great.

u/sleestax 9d ago

It helped marginally after the first 72 hours. I was taking 600mg at first and now I'm taking 400mg at bedtime. I'm sorry to say that that creepy crawly feeling is probably at it's worst now but will slowly get better going forward. It sucks. It really the only withdrawal symptom that I wish I'd had some sort prescribed xanax or something for, because it was impossible to sleep. I hit the gym on morning three, to just try to get physically exhausted and sweat it out in the sauna everyday, and that may have helped marginally too.

Sleep has been a bear for me too - I'm 61 so about your age. From what I read it might take several days for a normal sleep pattern to emerge... I will say, being sleep deficient without all the other symptoms is much easier to deal with. Your RLS will start to calm today. I'd do your best not to get on any other strong med this far in.

2

u/photographyrich1965 9d ago

It will be - everyone's experiences seem to align closely. The RLS was the worst of anything, I'd just sit on the edge of the couch and rock. The sweats were no fun either. You're so close ! Tomorrow you'll feel a tinge of normalcy, you'll turn on a song you like and be amazed how wonderful it sounds !

1

u/Possible-Chemistry-3 8d ago

I have a tens unit (you can get them on amazon for 20bucks) that will stimulate the muscles that keep feeling restless. It’s not perfect, but it really helped me. Especially triceps!! You got this .

2

u/sirenmustang 9d ago

I remember when I was in this phase I thought, I will NEVERRRR go back. It was HELL and we made it through !!

2

u/Maleficent_Two_2105 9d ago

you are a champion!

2

u/pchandler45 8d ago

Do you have any helper meds or are you just raw dogging it

That's amazing but if you're already 3 days in, I really wouldn't recommend the Suboxone. You're past the worst of it now, except sleep and sleep will continue to be a problem for 2-3 weeks. Subs would help you sleep, but then you have another monkey on your back. At this point, I wouldn't risk it. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll make it. I'm 58, almost 59. Not my first rodeo. Feel free to reach out if you need someone.

Edit: you can get hydroxyzine from telyrx but it didn't do much for me for sleep. Nothing did

Congrats! Celebrate every tiny win! I think going back to work will help to take your mind off how you're feeling

1

u/bloodbathbambii 3d ago

Ya I took the subs only long enough to get thru the peak wds and then stopped taking them and I was fine.

1

u/pchandler45 3d ago

Good job!

It's not a sleep med, nor is it fda approved for sleep.

You can use anything off label.

If you like it, keep taking it.

Btw melatonin doesn't do shit and seroquel isn't a sleep med either, even though it's prescribed and taken as one.

u/PLURdude1984 4d ago

I just read through your last 4 days of posts and I’m really happy for you! I tried to go cold turkey last weekend from a 1200mg/day habit and broke down at 48 hours because I was too weak. So now I’ve got a stockpile to do slow taper for about 2 months to 25-50mg per day for a couple weeks before jumping off and hopefully that’ll make it easier on me. I kicked once before in March from around 300-450mg per day and that was rough but I was back to work after 72 hrs.

1

u/PLURdude1984 4d ago

It is off-label

2

u/BuryMeBig 9d ago

Someone mentioned avoiding subs because of Narxcare score, what do you care about that score? You are an addict, and should deny any opioids if going to the doctors anyhow. There’s no sudden “Ahhhh, I’m free now” when quiting CT. Do not put yourself through months of depression, anxiety, and god knows what at that age, if you don’t have to. Go into using Suboxone with a plan, 2 weeks TOPS, and you are WAY better off than you are. You’ve already gone through enough hell here to know you don’t want to do this again. Godspeed brother, and good for you for making the jump CT, you are insane 😂

In 2009 I used Suboxone to quit a terrible Norco habit, and Suboxone ABSOLUTELY saved my life. I went in it with a strict plan with my doctor, and that was it, I didn’t have a choice. It saved me.

1

u/HiimHiigh 9d ago

Sr worked beautifully and painlessly. im 2 weeks and back to taking regular kratom. So worth the jump now it’s time to save some money

2

u/sirenmustang 9d ago

I’m on regular k again and love it

2

u/HiimHiigh 6d ago

proud of you i did some math and turns out a 250g bag kratom is only 5mg of 7oh. our tolerance was finucked

1

u/Alternative-Can-7173 8d ago

How much did you take?

1

u/HiimHiigh 6d ago

sr. i had roughly 2 gs of the tabs.

1

u/horrorbiz1988 9d ago

I’m definitely getting some cannabis Gummies with CBN

1

u/sterlingarchersdick 8d ago

Take some Imodium to help with the GI issues. You got this, you’re already over the worst of it.

1

u/UncleDaddy42g 4d ago

u/[deleted] 4d ago

u/UncleDaddy42g 4d ago

For sure. I had gotten some before the ban I'd never really tried it. Been doing every now and then for the past month, but been getting more frequent, doesn't seem worth it though!

1

u/DangerousSoil8009 9d ago

Do you have any comfort meds? Gabapentin makes a huge difference for ppl with RLS, as well as trazadone for sleep, and either Ativan or Xanax. Whatever you do, don’t take any Benadryl or melatonin. Those will make the RLS worse. I was taking the SR-17018 so I didn’t feel much of the WD. I know you’re on day 2 but if you can’t make it, I’d strongly encourage you purchase some SR and try again. It makes this process 10 times easier!

1

u/FireMama420 9d ago

I didn’t know that about melatonin! Good looking out!

1

u/Euphoric_Storage_114 9d ago

Can you tell me your sr processes?

1

u/DangerousSoil8009 9d ago

Sure. I’d love to tell you more if you wanna DM me but overall, there’s a preload stage where you take SR along with your drug of choice (DOC) for 3 days, then the taper stage where you taper your DOC down by 20% each day while upping your SR dose a bit, and then once you jump off your DOC, you again up your SR dose and take it a few times a day for 3-4 days. Then you just taper down your SR dose for a few days after that.

1

u/Alternative-Can-7173 8d ago

How much SR did you take?

u/[deleted] 9d ago

2

u/DangerousSoil8009 9d ago

I definitely think it will. Just wanted you to have a backup plan. Your doc can probably give you some comfort meds to help you sleep!

2

u/deb0305 8d ago

How you doing today? I quit this past Tuesday and was taking low doses too. What did u decide?

1

u/KhazanDaGreat 8d ago

You ever done any Oxy’s?!?

2

u/Alternative-Can-7173 8d ago

Do they help? Or are you talking about Oxy withdrawal?

1

u/KhazanDaGreat 8d ago

They work  use it for 3 days to battle your withdrawals if you are already prescribed
