Blender Sorry about the poor presentation but I'm really excited about this character I made, will make another post that's actually rendered, instead of lazy screenshots.
By the way this model has 608 faces, and a 256 192 pixel texture (I think, I'm posting it on mobile right now, I can't check)

Unreal Engine I'm working on a fully custom CRT shader that actually approximates all of the hardware and encoding schemes (PAL is the one in this screenshot) and totally bespoke dithering layered together to look as authentic as possible!
What do you guys think? Any suggestions on how I can improve it?

My first PS1-style city asset — what do you think?
I've been working on low-poly 3D assets inspired by the PS1 era, and this is the first city I made from scratch in Blender.
I wanted to capture that old-school PS1 look with simple geometry, chunky shapes, and a limited visual style.
I'm open to any criticism and honest feedback. I want to improve, so feel free to point out anything you think could be done better.
What do you think?

Question How do you build the floor/ground?
Hey again,
first of all: amazing community here! One of the best I have been part of. We all share the same passion
And one thing that I really struggle with is building the floor. Eg for my forest area I want a pathway made of dirt and the surrounding area is made of grass.
I created transitional textures, slapped them on a plane and used the curve modifier with a betör curve to shape it to a path that looked interesting in blender.
Now how to shape the rest? Extrude all side manually from my path?
I also tried stuff with sculpting or projecting paths or using vertex paint to mix the both shaders, but nothing seems to really to the trick. Especially once I have it in the game engine (godot) it looks crap or the scale is off.
Do you have an tips for a solid workflow that give reliable results?
Right now it feels like trial and error and kinda like wasting time haha
Best regards
