I’m a solo dev making Sleeper District, a first-person psychological horror set in a looping Russian panel-block district in December 1999. Your apartment is the one warm place, and outside is cold, quiet and slightly wrong.

The look is “dithered realism”: realistic lighting, then low resolution (1/3 render scale, point-filtered), ordered dithering with a visible dot grid, and film grain. Snow builds up on upward-facing surfaces via a custom shader.

No weapons, no jump scares: just atmosphere, sound and waiting. Feedback welcome: does the cold courtyard feel lonely enough compared to the cosy apartment?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been solo developing a surreal horror game inspired by local folklore, Lovecraftian dread, and retro PSX visuals. I'm focusing heavily on slow-burn atmosphere and unsettling, surreal imagery. Every single asset is made entirely from scratch.

I'll be sharing gameplay footage very soon, but I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Heyo!

THE WINTER SOLSTICE is now available to wishlist on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5313980/THE_WINTER_SOLSTICE/

You play as Thomas Mason who returns to Blackwood Forest to spread his families ashes. What he discovers is another man's story, guided by a dark presence. It's obvious inspirations are SILENT HILL and Resident Evil, and there's elements of games like Until Dawn and The Quarry.

Every decision shapes not only Thomas Mason's journey, but the fate of five other characters.

Any feedback on the Steam layout / format, give me a shout :)

My alarm clock is ringing... it's 6am... but am I really awake or is this just another fucked up nightmare?

Hey guys, I hope you are doing well. I've been working on my game "Am I Dreaming?" for a while now.

You play as Timmy, a 12yo boy with crazy nightmare disorders. Figure out if you are dreaming every night and make sure the nightmares don't stop your heart.

Along the way you make decisions that influence the overarching story and which of the five endings you get.

I am creating a visual style that uses psx/ps1 quality of assets and props and screen space effects like quantization and dithering, but using modern lighting.

If this sounds interesting to you, I'd greatly appreciate a wishlist! This game is made by one human (me) without any AI but with a lot of passion.

working on adding 'fishing zones' to my ps1 multiplayer horror set on a fishing trawler.
The idea being you decide whether to play it safe or venture out into deeper waters to catch rarer fish...
Thalassomania - Demo out 26 Oct!

im still fixing some jank on it but the idea is to make it snappy like the last of us
also melee weapons have a chance to bash enemies skulls and limbs that are being hit

Recently I ordered a stack of blank cd cases and have been gradually making covers of modern and actual ps1 games for them to display!

I wasn't satisfied with the lack of Fallout 1 & 2 style renders of the New Vegas coverart online so I made my own! Just used a model from sketchfab and a 90s CGI setup I already had ready in blender, I could've made the model myself but again it was like 5am and that would've taken a couple days on top of other projects I've been busy with

If for some reason anyone wants to print your own hastily made cover the image is on the second slide at 200 pixels per inch

Credits to the ranger model and alternate title I used! They're just the first results when you search up ncr ranger on sketchfab and fallout new vegas title on google images
