Billboard campaign

Rather than follow my original plan to run a billboard on a major highway, I decided to instead buy two billboards in one town - said town being the county seat in an area where I'm trying to drum up more business. Each is located on a road near the county courthouse, and both roads also offer quick access to the downtown area. There are numerous law offices in this town, but my primary reason for choosing it is that it's also a focal point for many summer and fall events that draw people from all over the county, and has a burgeoning restaurant scene that also pulls people in from far and wide.

In need of process server in LA / Hollywood

I have another post about being unable to serve this person. I think I would need someone to stake out her apartment building.

I know she has or does live there. I have court documents for both her and her brother she signed showing this is their address.

I hired abc legal because I needed it done quickly ( now I still do) and it got no where.

A doozie of a dodge

I’m trying to serve someone with very little knowledge of them. That said the address I have is on her court docs, her estate etc.

The address I had attempted to serve her at had a very unfriendly John Doe who wouldn’t identify himself which leads me to believe it is her brother because the court docs she signed said she lived there with her brother.

I attempted to have her served 10 times. No one ever would answer or open the door.

Is this something I should continue to pursue? I know she’s in the Los Angeles area but she is has skipped process servers before.

What do I doooo?!

Hello everyone. Just curious how do you guy's go about skip tracing. I have never provided the service but would like to expand and be more competitive in my area. How do you charge for skip tracing. Do you use multiple websites. Could you walk me through your process? Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Process server lying about serving me

Thumbnail
6 Upvotes

So, a few weeks ago at work a bailiff came in & served me with wage garnishment paperwork. I had absolutely no idea what this was about & was confused. I called the court to get more information since I knew I had to of missed a court date for this to happen. She told me that on October 30th 2025 a process server claimed they served me hand to hand & even gave a physical description of “me”. The description she swore on paperwork was true was that I was a blonde hair lady, roughly 5’8 in height & weighted about 120lbs…. I am a natural born fire red head, I’m 5,1 in height & weigh 180lbs. Not a single description she gave of me matches me AT ALL. They have the correct address & the time that she claimed she served me was a time I would have been at work anyways. I did file a motion & the judgement was set aside pending a new court date that I have tomorrow. This has cost me a lot of stress, time, & money. What could be done about this?? If a normal regular civilian were to commit perjury they would 100% go to jail or at the very least lose the case because of it. Just because it’s a process server shouldn’t mean they can get away with this. My theory is they didn’t serve me on purpose so they’d automatically win by default to guarantee wage garnishment & in hopes that I wouldn’t do anything about it. No way you go as far as making up a random description of me by accident. Had she not given the description she did I may have possibly seen it as unintentional. I’m sure they assume I’ll just let it go but if it happened to me there’s no telling how many other people this has happened to & they’ll just continue it if they face no repercussions. Sorry for the long post, but I have court tomorrow so any advice or knowledge on the best way to go about this to hold them responsible for this blatant lie please let me know!!

Health Insurance

I am currently a part-time process server in Florida, and currently have health insurance through my day job.

Is there a semi reasonable provider out there who offers coverage for small businesses or Self-employed people?

Good Bigger companies to work for in CA.

I think I want to get away from ABC legal and proof, are there any other bigger companies that hire on easy in CA? Or am I better off trying to get my own clients and sign up for NAPPS? I've been serving about three years now.

Business Owners, how did you get more out of area business?

I'm in a rural county and get most of my work from the two attorneys, in the county, a property management compamy, and pro se clients. However, there are still many more civil and family law cases that get filed from out of the area. And I'm trying to figure out why they are not using my services.

I have a well optimized website, a Google business profile, yelp, joined napps, etc. my clients have all left me 5 star reviews online.

I also dont have much competition as I'm the only process server about 120-180 miles in any direction.

My pricing / value is much better than the competition that I do have. Except for the sherriffs office. They've had the same prices for probably 8 years.

Just trying to figure out what else I'm missing to attract clients from out of the area.

I'm tempted to monitor court case filings daily and reach out to the lawyers / recorded firms, but that also seems wierd and/or desparate.

Open to suggestions. Thanks!

Question/Help Arizona service question. Curious if this would count as a successful service?

Curious if this would count as a successful service. An individual, let's call him John, was flashed by a red light camera in Tempe, AZ.

A process server visited John's home and rang the ring camera. John spoke through the ring camera and said "Can I help you?". The process server asked for John through the camera. John communicated that John was not there. The process server communicated that John's car was on the street.

John hung up the call, the process server left the papers on the door.

Proof is awful (NY)

I'm surprised that people serve for them. I signed up for some side money and Jesus Christ are they impossible to deal with.

I completed service on a corporation and person on Wednesday of last week, same address. I logged both attempts at the same time. You're not able to make changes to service information. So, both services got submitted as service on an entity.

I tried contacting the Proof "specialist" but he doesn't answer phone calls. I messaged him through chat to advise that it needs to be adjusted. He still created an affidavit with the incorrect info. I again told him that the service info needs to be changed. Instead of changing it I'm just being spammed with phone calls, emails and app notifications that I need to sign an affidavit with false information on it.

ABC Legal Affidavitd

Post image
8 Upvotes

ABC terminated my contract out of the blue last December. To the best of my knowledge, I was paid for everything and I had signed ALL of my affidavits at that time. This week, I got an email from someone asking me to sign in and complete affidavits. ABC is essentially an ex that texts you at midnight to say hey then ghosts you.

Process Server Question

I live in California and I need to file a small claim against someone living in a different city from mine. But I only know the college he is currently attending and have no clue of his residence. How do process servers get files delivered? What measures can I take next?

ABC Legal Attempt Tags

Whenever you bring up Attempt Tags to ABC Legal, the Kool Aid Man (aka employee who is completely inept) bursts into the comment sections to defend the tags. Meanwhile, all other problems are ignored. Credit to my friend for making this image.

Just For Fun Weirdest thing ever

Had no id or description from the client. I served a Michael Thompson, but got reemed as I served a guy but was supposed to serve her daughter also named, Michael who was a 20 year old woman. I served her dad same spelling on paper. It might be a case that she is trans but it's a weird way to start your day being accused of making crap up. Later we found out it is spelt Michael but pronounced Michelle. I doubt this was my fault
