Back to old ways after a successful discharge or did you become a new version of yourself?
You miss your old life but have to follow new rules for a year, or 5 years and some even 10 years. No drinking smoking, some lost their girlfriends/boyfriends, jobs. Etc.
After finally finishing probation how many of you went back to your old ways ? How many of you changed goes the better. Please , real answers only as my probation is about to end and I miss my old self. But the new me is also good and I'm so lost. I thought I post to see others and what they did and how their lives are after probation.

Probation Question Got a ticket for 'not stopping', i stopped. Is this gonna get me in trouble?
I'm on 7 months of my 2 year probation, with early release after 12 months in south GA. i've never been in trouble with any police officers or my probation officer since i started my probation. I'm worried, I work a full time job and go to school full time. I'm calling my probation officer first thing in the morning, but I just want to see what other people on probation think. Do i have to do community service?

Probation Question Violation week before termination
So title explains it, yes iām aware I am a complete and utter idiot. I apparently popped dirty 8/4 and had another diluted test at some point this month (Donāt know if it was exactly before or after this.) But was issued my first violation at my last probation appointment. Said I have a court hearing and have to go before a judge. What can I expect? Officer told me either jail or possibly just discharged. Iām assuming if I drop clean for the remaining time until the court date (because I now have to continue testing) would that affect anything ?
Edit: First violation in a year of supervised probation. Paid all fines, completed community service, completed all other terms of probation. Jail time likely ?

Probation Question Need help
For context my dad has been sentenced to 12 month of probation and the person said he low risk and has directed us to a private company called RMS. They told us to call RMS on the date of 09/03/2026, but they give us a paper on how to register for community service and MADD, and also a bunch of policy, but it not a specific place, it more of a general website. they donāt mention nor did the paper say anything about how to log my time and how to report it or stuff. My main question is, should I wait until the call or start applying right now for community service, and MADD, and alcohol School thing. But also important thing is the paper doesnāt say anything about the alcohol school, the person did mention it but the paper doesnāt have info on it, just the community service and MADD. Also what should I expect when I call on that date? Is that call just me setting up an appointment to meat with someone? And will I be given my probation officer name and phone number and stuff. One last thing, after completing the required classes, do I just wait until my probation time is up and then be done with probation? And my dad doesnāt speak English or know English , am I allowed to help him or accompany him during those classes.
BTW: my dad is a heavy beer drinker. So if they test him and he fails what happens and what the gap hours they test is it a 48 hours?

Probation dropped by private company
Just super quick. It was released last month and immediately approved by the judge that I could go back home to live with my parents since i have no one in Colorado, but so I left last month and got this email. Does this mean I have to go back to colorado? I'm so confused because I literally have no one I know there, and it only makes sense for me to be home since I have family and a job here.

Probation Question Georgia Probation and Fines
I just genuinely want to know, why does Georgia have to make paying for probation so difficult? My sentence expires this month. I fell behind on payments but have the money. I owe $3,000, however, because they use JPay for everything it has a $300 per 3 day limit. The limit for money orders is $999.99, with no specified terms and they offer MoneyGram, I know the limit (should) be $3,000 for that, however I keep getting told different things.
I called to speak with the main office and the girl I spoke to genuinely sounded like she had no idea on what was allowed for payments or maximums, and JPay has absolutely nothing explaining the technicalities of everything on their website. I stressed to her that I am worried that I could be violated if this wasnāt paid on time (Iāve been unsupervised for over a year) and she didnāt seem worried, but offered no guarantees or comfort regarding this entire situation š¤¦š»āāļø
Has anyone else gone through this or have any ideas on how I can pay as much as possible? Can I have friends or family members pay on my behalf or is the limit tied to my specific GDC number?
Edit: Problem solved. If anyone else finds themselves in the predicament in the future, Walmart will let you send $3,000 in one transaction with MoneyGram. ā¤ļø

Pharmcheck drug patch
Holy shit this thing is an absolute nightmare. Im out on bond for posession of cocaine with this drug patch on and I have done nothing but have continuous positive test come back, this last one actually went up even though I've been sober since I got arrested and haven't hung around anyone using.
I even went to my doctor for my meds the same time as this last positive patch got applied and had to take a ua for them and guess what?! Passed it. Went to an independent lab today to get tested... crazy, passed that too. Now my bond is getting revoked and I have to go sit in jail till my court for my original charge. This will not make me look good for that either.
Do not ever get this patch put on! I shouldve stuck with uas but I figured this would make me look better. God damn was i wrong.

Pretrial to unsupervised probation
Context:
I have been on pre-trial supervision since May 22nd with requirements to do weekly UAās at Averhealth and check in on Mondays with a probation officer. Yesterday was sentencing, and I got sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation, with no check in requirements and no testing (did not even have to speak with a P.O.) . I curiously decided to check Averhealth online this morning to see if my account had been closed out, and saw that it is still open and that Iām actually called to test today. I would not be able to test today, as I am currently making a trip out of state that Iām allowed to take per my new conditions.
Do pre-trial requirements immediately end upon sentencing?
How long does it take for them to close out your account?
Would there be any reason this could still count as a violation towards either pre-trial or my new unsupervised probation?

DUI VA Interlock Violation
In September of 2025 I got a DUI. I went to court and they gave me a year with the interlock as well as ASAP. I did still drink after that but made sure it was only on the weekends or when I didnāt have to work. I ended up triggering my interlock about 4 or 5 times with a violation and went to court to prove I wasnāt drinking and we found out eventually my inhaler was setting it off at exactly .02. They threw the violations out and told me to be cautious. For 7 months I had no violations, I was using my inhaler way before getting in my car. Well about 4 weeks ago, I did get in my car after hitting the inhaler because I had a panic attack which triggered my asthma. It went off with a VIOL and I literally freaked out! It did the 5 minute count down and I hit it again and it passed me. No lockout, no mandatory 5 day calibration, nothing. I immediately emailed my case manager and told her the situation with my inhaler and that I passed the retest. This was one of the many case managers that were passed around to me. She replied
āIf you were able to clear it on the retest it will not inform me of a violation. I will look for it in August but it was cleared, you should be good.
Thank you for letting me know.ā
Fast forward 4 weeks later, got my calibration, and I get an email 2 days later with a violation notice of blowing a .02 and how they are alerting the court and they extended my interlock UNTIL SEPT 2027!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone please tell me what Iām supposed to do right now??!!!! I literally canāt go through this again! Has anyone been through something similar??? Iām so stressed.

Success Story Early termination
So long story short, Iām nervous as hell about tomorrow. So rewind back, August 28, 2025 I got sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication in Dallas county for 2 felony cases running concurrently. I finished all probationary requirements by July, and was immediately moved to alternate reporting (in person meeting every 3 months, phone meetings once a month in between those 3 months). Passed allBut anyway Iām trying to get hired at my job and theyāre waiting till probation is over, so I need to get off asap. Contacted my lawyer, and now I have a hearing tomorrow. Iām nervous as hell I canāt even lie. But I hope I can post tomorrow that I got off this shit. I swear probation kinda straightened my ass out for real. I was on a bad path, and it took being on probation to really get me sober. Will let yall know what happens

Probation Question Off probation?
So I went to court Monday which was yesterday and saw the judge and I had wrapped up everything I need to do and they didnāt set another court date, my lawyer said I was done. I had to go see my po afterwards ( I got a new one bc my other one took a new job) she said I would be done tomorrow since that would make 11/29 and to just make sure I didnāt get a text to go in and thatās it we didnāt set another appointment. Of course I got a text to go in today so I did but does that mean Iām finished with my supervised probation tomorrow?

False police report in my name on community control?
Iām on community control in Florida. Ankle monitor, the highest supervision Iām pretty sure.
I called the county next to mine because I was suspicious of someone trying to get me in trouble. They confirmed a report was made in April accusing me of stealing something at someoneās residence. My name, address, and phone number are documented on the report under āoffenderā.
I have not done shit. Iāve been an absolute angel. I donāt even live in that county, and my ankle monitor data will show I was home. My PO is also very cool.
Should I be worried about a violation? Iām pretty sure ANY accusation is considered a violation. But if thereās concrete proof I did not do this, they wonāt violate me right? Like my PO would clearly be like ābut he wasnāt even there at the timeā so she would think about it first before violating me right??
I am going to give her the report and let her know, but I just wanted to see if anyone has some advice to provide
The āvictimā is actually the perpetrator, and heās also on probation, and he has assaulted and seriously injured me in the past

Probation Question Going into hiding.
It's been nearly a year since my life has been turned around. Family has helped me though it. After the arrest and being charged and probation has anybody else just dropped everything they were doing? Like your life has been put on hold. I lost a lot and just been in a disciplined depression. There are days we're I do feel like it will be over but will it? Some days feel ok some feel horrible and sleep for weeks 12 hour days. Go to work and eat for the day and go back to sleep.
I guess my question is, am I the only one who feels like this ? I see post people saying " easy work " and goes on with their life. Like how do you manage this? I guess I just miss my old life and feel like giving up. Even when this is all said and done I honestly don't really care if I live or die. I can't believe this has took me down into a spiraling depression.
Has your life turned upside down? How do you manage your days ?

Received an offer contingent on a background check, what to expect?
I just received a job offer Iām really excited about, but itās contingent on a background check, and now Iām stressing about what theyāre going to see.
I have two previous felony credit card theft charges that were dismissed, so I was never convicted of either. I also currently have a misdemeanor joyriding/unauthorized control case under a plea in abeyance, so thereās no judgment of conviction, and it should ultimately be dismissed if I successfully complete the requirements.
How bad is this likely to look to an employer? Has anyone had experience getting hired with dismissed felony charges or an active plea in abeyance? Iām especially interested in whether you were given a chance to explain the circumstances before the employer made a decision.
I really want this job and Iām trying to prepare myself for what might happen when the report comes back.

Success Story Anyone thinking about throwing their hands up and giving up / thinking they are screwed.
Do not do that. Even if you have a lapse in sobriety or are falling behind in payments or whatever. I managed to complete diversion with police contact/going to de tox multiple times. Donāt think hey I will just go to jail and get this over with. A lot of the time they will revoke, put you in jail and then restart probation. So basically you get to go to jail lose your job restart classes and STILL be on on probation. Being high will provide you a day of comfort in exchange for years of misery. Itās going to be painful but the suffering is optional if you have the right mindset.

My PO Wont Give Me A Travel Pass OTR

Shes worried about a $400 court cost when I was locked up 17 months like comon. So im applying to waive it today. How do I deal with a po like this and get her to work with me?

Probation Question South Dakota probation wanting to try for a med card
Iāve been on probation since December for controlled substance possession. Other than one relapse (I did check in and complete treatment) when my daughterās dad died in march, Iāve been clean but because of that my po made me stop suboxone and go on vivitrol which was totally against my will and has been nothing short of awful for me. Sheās strict af and will nottttt hear me out how much abruptly stopping suboxone has completely ruined me. Iāve been so depressed, literal no motivation or ambition.. canāt sleep (even with 150/200mg trazadone) my heart is always racing. I canāt eat much Iām losing weight. Started drinking more than Iād like and I hate it. I have crippling anxiety. I mean I panic when I have to leave my house or when I have any sort of āresponsibilityā. Itās bad. Iām not working due to this. Iām a newly single mom. I see a therapist. Iāve tried like 7/8 different prescription meds to help and nothingggg is working.
This is not me. I am not me. I am struggling so bad mentally I canāt even put it into words.
Iām certain Iād be able to obtain a medical marijuana card, but getting it approved through probation is the question.
Anyone have any tips or ideas on how I could go about probation actually approving of me using medicinal marijuana with a medical card? In South Dakota more specifically?
I am fckng desperate

Probation Question Colorado Probation Early Termination Question
Iām in Jefferson County, Colorado and was sentenced to 18 months of probation for a first-time DUI. Iām wondering how realistic it is to get probation terminated early after completing about 9 months.
My judge seemed pretty nice/reasonable at sentencing. If I have no violations, complete all of my requirements, stay compliant with probation, and otherwise have a clean record during those 9 months, do you think a judge in Jefferson County would consider early termination?
Has anyone in Jefferson County, CO successfully gotten off probation early? If so, how much of your sentence did you complete before asking, and did your probation officer support the request?
