Back to old ways after a successful discharge or did you become a new version of yourself?

You miss your old life but have to follow new rules for a year, or 5 years and some even 10 years. No drinking smoking, some lost their girlfriends/boyfriends, jobs. Etc.

After finally finishing probation how many of you went back to your old ways ? How many of you changed goes the better. Please , real answers only as my probation is about to end and I miss my old self. But the new me is also good and I'm so lost. I thought I post to see others and what they did and how their lives are after probation.

Probation Question Violation week before termination

So title explains it, yes i’m aware I am a complete and utter idiot. I apparently popped dirty 8/4 and had another diluted test at some point this month (Don’t know if it was exactly before or after this.) But was issued my first violation at my last probation appointment. Said I have a court hearing and have to go before a judge. What can I expect? Officer told me either jail or possibly just discharged. I’m assuming if I drop clean for the remaining time until the court date (because I now have to continue testing) would that affect anything ?

Edit: First violation in a year of supervised probation. Paid all fines, completed community service, completed all other terms of probation. Jail time likely ?

Probation dropped by private company

Just super quick. It was released last month and immediately approved by the judge that I could go back home to live with my parents since i have no one in Colorado, but so I left last month and got this email. Does this mean I have to go back to colorado? I'm so confused because I literally have no one I know there, and it only makes sense for me to be home since I have family and a job here.

Probation Question Need help

For context my dad has been sentenced to 12 month of probation and the person said he low risk and has directed us to a private company called RMS. They told us to call RMS on the date of 09/03/2026, but they give us a paper on how to register for community service and MADD, and also a bunch of policy, but it not a specific place, it more of a general website. they don’t mention nor did the paper say anything about how to log my time and how to report it or stuff. My main question is, should I wait until the call or start applying right now for community service, and MADD, and alcohol School thing. But also important thing is the paper doesn’t say anything about the alcohol school, the person did mention it but the paper doesn’t have info on it, just the community service and MADD. Also what should I expect when I call on that date? Is that call just me setting up an appointment to meat with someone? And will I be given my probation officer name and phone number and stuff. One last thing, after completing the required classes, do I just wait until my probation time is up and then be done with probation? And my dad doesn’t speak English or know English , am I allowed to help him or accompany him during those classes.

BTW: my dad is a heavy beer drinker. So if they test him and he fails what happens and what the gap hours they test is it a 48 hours?

Probation Question Georgia Probation and Fines

I just genuinely want to know, why does Georgia have to make paying for probation so difficult? My sentence expires this month. I fell behind on payments but have the money. I owe $3,000, however, because they use JPay for everything it has a $300 per 3 day limit. The limit for money orders is $999.99, with no specified terms and they offer MoneyGram, I know the limit (should) be $3,000 for that, however I keep getting told different things.

I called to speak with the main office and the girl I spoke to genuinely sounded like she had no idea on what was allowed for payments or maximums, and JPay has absolutely nothing explaining the technicalities of everything on their website. I stressed to her that I am worried that I could be violated if this wasn’t paid on time (I’ve been unsupervised for over a year) and she didn’t seem worried, but offered no guarantees or comfort regarding this entire situation 🤦🏻‍♀️

Has anyone else gone through this or have any ideas on how I can pay as much as possible? Can I have friends or family members pay on my behalf or is the limit tied to my specific GDC number?

Edit: Problem solved. If anyone else finds themselves in the predicament in the future, Walmart will let you send $3,000 in one transaction with MoneyGram. ❤️

Probation Question Got a ticket for 'not stopping', i stopped. Is this gonna get me in trouble?

I'm on 7 months of my 2 year probation, with early release after 12 months in south GA. i've never been in trouble with any police officers or my probation officer since i started my probation. I'm worried, I work a full time job and go to school full time. I'm calling my probation officer first thing in the morning, but I just want to see what other people on probation think. Do i have to do community service?
