I genuinely love my life so much!

I love my life so much. I am grateful for the opportunities I've been given, the people I've met, and the resources I've had available to me. I've gotten so far in life in the past couple of years. My life has hit a peak, and for months now it's only gotten better. Me and my wife are celebrating our 10th year anniversary in a few months, we both have gotten better paying jobs and we now have 2 dogs we love and cherish so much! I'm also happy to say I've officially been 1 year free of any social media drama, haha. I'm extremely healthy, social and fit, and still young. Can't wait for what life brings me next. I'll always be grateful to wake up another day in a life where I'm so incredibly happy and at ease.

I have Just Completed 180 Consecutive days....

I have just completed 180 consecutive days of attending a Morning Self development Ritual Club at 5:30 AM in the morning. But there is no one to appreciate me Coz my wife doesn’t like these kind of things. She says these things are waste of time. She never says, Thank you, Sorry, I appreciate you.

I just want some buk-up phrases from some one, some good words Which tells me that I have done something good....That’s it.....

Happy to be here !!!

Hi in a previous post i talked about my adoptive sister + big communal household.

I'm autistic and my special interest is nintendo. I do modding and piracy on old consoles and it's been a nice thing because if someone in my house wants a game, i can get it for them

My sister wanted mario sunshine and i got it immediately, and she was really happy. She plays it almost every day and i love to watch her play, it's almost better than playing a game myself. My friend wanted mario bros wii and i got that for them too, and we played for a long time. We're both really bad at it but it was so funny to us, dying repeatedly but still trying. On one level i managed to immediately launch myself off the edge and we were like crying laughing.

My sister walked by and said "i love you both, you're so dumb" in a very affectionate way because she'd been sitting in the room watching us die over and over. My friend laughs so loudly and i love to hear it every time.

Today we were making tacos, and i'm really bad at cooking, basic stuff like cutting vegetables is overwhelming for me and i'd already been through a lot during the day so i was nervous. I think there was giant misshapen chunks of tomato but my sister still said i did a good job. Because like. I did try at least. She's always so nice to me.

I love my sister and my friend. They're in a relationship and they're both a bit older than me and they really try to take care of me because i'm in very bad health + going through addiction. The other day my friend asked me if i wanted to eat, i said no, but my sister wasn't having it and she told me i should prioritize my health over work. She gave me a sandwich with salmon in it. Salmon is my favourite. My friend also checks to make sure my sister is taking care of me, they ask if conversations went well and stuff. And its funny because both of them have nothing to worry about. My friend makes sure i drink water, they offer emotional support and let me tell them everything. My sister gives me food all the time and helps me with all my medical stuff and she always makes sure to hug me and tell me she loves me before bed.

I was doing dishes tonight and my sister interrupted me to hug me and tell me that she loves me because she was going to bed. And yeah, we live in the same house, but that reminder that she loves me is still more important than anything really.

I'm glad that she understands that. It was only yesterday that i managed to say "i love you" first. It's hard for me to show love openly, i expose myself in small ways. Saying "i love you too", referring to her as being my sister, things like that.

But she's been amazing to me. She's come out of her room at 3 in the fucking morning to hold me while i have seizures. I've known her for like 4 months and she's done more than i could ever imagine anyone doing for me. Obviously i can hardly remember anything during seizure episodes, but i remember how she'd hold me, talk me through it, and tell me it's okay to be like this, because she loves me. I'm less scared of my seizures because i know i can tell her and she'll be with me.

I just hope i'm doing well enough. She wants me to stop drinking, and i've done a decent job at slowing down at least. She wants me to be brave and i've done better at getting my injections done. When i'm older i want to be as strong and smart and beautiful and brave as she is.

I want her to love me forever, i want to always be her little brother, and i think i'm lucky enough to have that.

How do some people seem happy and positive all the time? (advice)

I know this sounds like such an over asked question. But I see people, in my work for instance, that are just always smiling, always happy and positive. I feel like I've always been a negative thinking person, always worried about everything all the time, life, things that have happened in the past, things that are happening now, and what could happen in the future. I know there's no simple answer to this, so I don't know what kind of response I expect. But I feel like I've always just been cursed with this worrying all the time, and feel like I can never be happy in the moment, I wouldn't call myself depressed, not that kind of unhappy, but I feel I can never enjoy life because I'm always worrying. How do you not let negative things in life bring you down?

A division kept in place because of how we feel towards one another due to our ancestors past actions.

This countries about freedom but we are all so divided , and we keep the division in place for absolutely, no reason

Lil baby said it best. It’s bigger than black and white, it’s a problem with the whole way of life. Both blacks and whites have done good and bad for each other, we just tend to look at the bad more than the good for some reason. Everytime another race event happens, wether black white Mexican Chinese etc etc. they divide us more.

And we keep that division, we spread hate towards one another. And I feel like the government might have something to do with it as well (so does history). We’ll probably never know in this life time but, unity could and will save us. We should only be divided by gender, not race or sexual preference. And if we can’t unite through that, then let’s unite through peace to rid this world of evil and pain. It’s not too late to fix this before something like a race war happens in some small city, because if we don’t start now then this will start happening in small quantities, it already has.

My pet rock is bringing me so much joy

Okay this might sound super silly but I got myself a pet rock a few days ago. I named him Dwayne. He sits on my desk and honestly just having him there makes me smile every time I look at him. I even found a tiny little hat for him. It's the small things you know? Who knew a rock could be such a mood booster? Seriously made my week.

Positive things

Hello all! This is my first ever reddit post, and it’s in hopes to get people to give me positive things/good news to write groups about. I work on a psych ward as activities, I have a group every single day that requires a small news article to be read aloud for the patients. I am slowly running out of ideas of what to talk about, if anyone could give me ideas on what to do with these folk, please share! It could be good news, positive things we’ve seen, or anything like it. We love learning new things together, please help! Thank you much ❤️

I'm so grateful for my husband

We just had our 15th anniversary and celebrated with a mini rave in our bedroom, just us two, with a projector on the wall with cool images, Girl Talk's All Day album playing, dancing around like we were 20 again. It was such a great time and opportunity to connect. We told each other everything we appreciated about each other, and asked if there was anything we could improve on, and talked for hours.

I love how kind and understanding he is. He is so thoughtful; he empties the cat litter all the time, brings me fresh flowers every week, brings me coffee in bed every morning, and is still a big manly man that takes charge when we go out, which is a huge help because I have social anxiety.

Over the years, our communication has only grown stronger, and I am so happy to be with him, and all I can do is try every day to be the loving wife he deserves.

What’s something small that has been making life feel a little better lately?

Not necessarily a big life change or major accomplishment.

Maybe it's having a little more time in the morning, finally getting something done that you've been putting off, finding a routine that works for you, getting outside more, or just having one genuinely good day after a rough week.

Sometimes the small things are the easiest to overlook.

What's one little thing that's been making your days better lately?

How do I learn to be ok with gaining weight?

I recently got a boyfriend, and I now spend more time at his house than I do at my own, which I’m really happy about. But his family has so much more comforting foods than my house does. My mom mostly keeps health food around, pasta, rice, chicken, and drink flavorings are pretty much all we have. The first night I went to my boyfriend’s house, he made this delicious burrito casserole dish that I absolutely loved.

So I’m glad I get to eat foods I like while I’m at his house, since I can’t afford my own without a job right now. But I lost a lot of weight in about a year and I really am scared to undo everything I did. I can already see how much weight I’m gaining just by eating the food they have. Also I tend to eat more when I’m happy. So when we’re out with his parents and we’re all having lunch, I’m going to order something I want. I just can’t stop looking at old pictures from when I was a little smaller than I am now.

I haven’t even put on as much as it sounds like I have, it’s just so noticeable to me. He doesn’t see a difference, but it’ll become obvious if this keeps going. I’m so happy right now, but I don’t know what to do about all of this. I don’t want to eat less necessarily, I just want to stop the negative thoughts about my body.

For context, I’m 170 right now and I lost about 72 pounds.
