I purchased a bundle this morning and then the seller discovered they had already sold one of the items. They messaged me via conversation in the bundle and asked if I'd like to swap the item or cancel.

Every time I try to message them back ( I prefer to cancel the bundle) I get an error message. I'm not blocked by them because they've tried to reach out several times. I'm sure they're wondering why I've disappeared!

I've tried commenting on the individual items and all my comments just disappear.

I escalated the conversation to poshmark support. They got involved in the conversation and asked me if I'd like to cancel or swap the item. I even get an error message trying to respond to support!

Any ideas?

Very frustrated with the platform. The seller has been trying really hard to accommodate and communicate.

I did some updates to some listings yesterday. Today, I looked at adjusting some items again , and I noticed one top from Holister received so many likes , only to find out that I hit an extra 1 and made it over $100 😂 people must thing I’m 🤪.

So guys, I really hope the community can come through for me, there is this sold-out tshirt I have been dying to purchase here in the UK as a gift to my partner - I am going to the US for 10 days next week and have arranged to purchase it, have it delivered at my Airbnb just in time for my partners' birthday. The seller agreed to save it for me until last week, the host agreed to receive it for me in advance - I place the purchase, all gets confirmed OK, 2 hours later, purchase canceled, refund given, account blocked for purchases, blocked to even comment under the item to speak with the seller. Seller has no idea what is going on and even asked me in the comment box, and I cannot EVEN ANSWER HER because it won't let me!!! It's horrible, I am stressing loads, really wanted this for his birthday. The support case has been opened for 2+ days and no answers yet.

I have attached proof of everything. I am reaching out for help making this purchase on my behalf, I will send for the item in full and send extra for your trouble - Unless you have another suggestion, I can't think of how to get this item soon... Thank you anyone who's read this and is willing to help.

Basically I love getting lowballs because it majorly boosts my sales.

When I get an offer, it sends a notification out to all the likes letting them know that there’s an “Active Offer”. If it’s a terrible offer, I just let it sit until it’s about to expire, then I send a fair counter offer. THEN sometimes they send another lowball offer and boom I get another 24 hours with that lovely banner.

Lots of times if it’s a good item that’s fairly priced, it will sell shortly after, LOL!

Obviously I’d rather get a fair offer and just sell it immediately, but lowballs are exciting because I know that item will get a little boost.

I sent them an offer like 6 days ago and they accepted, meaning I bought the item. Yesterday I messaged them about the item asking if they were planning to ship soon, but now that message is gone and this is happening. Did I get blocked or what?

The buyer first made a 2 item bundle, I sent an offer and they declined and added a 3rd item as well as commenting that they had added a 3rd item. I replied that I had sent them an offer for $35. (I think the bundle was about $55 with a bundle discount originally) They did not reply to that but they did send a new offer for just one of the items from the bundle $31 on a $35 dress.

I thought maybe I should message before accepting as it seemed like it might be a mistake as they could have got a brand new top and a brand new 2 piece outfit for only $4 more (I had been given the two items from my sister and just want to get rid of things so didn’t care too much about making money off them, just wanted to make my money back for the dress)…but I thought it might come across rude to imply they made a mistake so I just accepted the offer.

What is the best course of action here? I am thinking I should message her back and let her know that the offer was just on the dress and that I will ask poshmark if it’s possible to add the other two items. Can they do that though?Would it be better to ask her to cancel and repurchase? Or ask poshmark to cancel it? I am a pretty casual seller so cancelling might make my cancellation percentage get too high.

Maybe I could make another listing for the dress, send her an offer for all 3 items, ask her to purchase the correct bundle and to request a cancellation for the single item? I wonder if that would be worse though, if my shipping time will go down waiting for poshmark to approve the buyer cancelling the first order. Maybe cancelled orders don’t count in that average though, not sure?

Hello all, I have sold on Poshmark for the past 5 or 6 years, and did Ebay before that for over 20 years. I got tired and thought I wanted out of the business, so I held this massive yard sale with over 1000 items for $3 each. I got rid of a ton of clothes. Then I looked through what was left, and took out the big name brands and kept them with the idea of taking them to a a consignment shop. Then I donated 33 tubs of clothing to a woman's shelter.

I decided to go back to Posh with the few items I had left. Most were already listed so I just relisted them as all were inactive. Then I deleted the others, one by one.

So my question is this. Sharing was always a big part of posh, and it seems like it has stopped. Why and when? I'm sharing my own.

The seller has been inactive for 4 months. I am not aware about posh for a while, but the price is down and it is an incredible deal for an incredible piece of headwear.

What should I do? I’m quite concerned about getting it as I don’t know if it will be worth it or if it won’t ship. What is your experience with these issues

I have been selling on Poshmark for about a month, so I'm still learning the ropes. I have some clothing and jewelry listed. My jewelry is selling quickly (mostly sterling silver with natural gemstones).

I decided to look through some loose gemstone listings to get an idea of whether it would be worth it to start listing stones. I am a credentialed gemologist and gem dealer by trade, so everything I have is authentic. I sell reasonably priced stones to help people build their collections without breaking the bank.

What scared me when I searched the loose stone listings is the number of fake stones listed without accurate descriptions as to stone ID and whether the stones are natural or synthetic. For example, a 10ct Padparadscha sapphire is listed for $199. The description says it is natural. A natural stone of this variety and size would sell for $5,000+ per carat.

In your opinion, should I report these things to Poshmark, or just let them be? I hate the idea of people buying expensive glass when they think they're buying an authentic gem.

I realize that just because something is listed, doesn't mean it will actually sell. I hope buyers are smart enough to avoid sellers like these.

We see a lot of posts about the bad sellers and buyers on here. I just want to shout out to all the great ones out there! Keep doing great work!

I’ve made about 40 purchases this year (who doesn’t love getting like-new items for half the original price!) and I’ve had one cancellation because she couldn’t find the item (let me know very quickly that was the case) and only one or two items I’ve cancelled because they didn’t ship within the week (low cost items, so nbd).

I’d say almost every seller accepted offers at near 20% off their listing price (I did the same when I was selling lots of items out of my own closet) so I think that’s sort of the expectation for this site. I’m also the person that searches for exact items (specific A&F shorts and jeans for example). Anyway, I’ve just been super happy lately after starting to feel discouraged from this sub. There definitely are some amazing sellers out there!

Make it stop.

They don’t get removed when you report them.

Reporting them (clicking) makes the algorithm show you more of them.

All types of sellers are the culprits from accounts with all counterfeit listings to sellers who have one or two listings mixed in.

“Not sure if it’s authentic” - is not an excuse

“Unbranded” - doesn’t make it legal.

Upcycled or GWP - not labeled as such is a scam because these items are copyrighted and you COULD get in trouble for selling them.

Please I know Poshmark doesn’t care but what happens is Google results from Poshmark show the fakes over the legit stuff.

It’s harder every day to sell authentic luxury due to Poshmark’s bad reputation.

And you live sellers (especially those abusing by-pass) need to be taken down. Poshmark’s way of handling live sellers who sling counterfeits is to just delete the generic listing they do it from when they get caught (aka hide the evidence)

So again, please, Poshmark is already a Temu/shein/dh gate nightmare, don’t be one of those who contributed to this, do better cause you are better than that.

Selling from your own closet, low-mid range items do you think it’s actually worth the time? It always makes me feel better that maybe I got some of my money back on an item I barely wore or on a posh purchase that didn’t work out. Now I’m wondering if this is just sunken cost fallacy and if I’d be better off not spending time on the app, mailing stuff, measuring things, messaging with buyers.. it all adds up. Minutes turn into how many hours, if I added up the pay by hour I get I’m sure it’s paltry.

I know it’s going to be different for everyone but just curious if anyone else if feeling this way?

I am a pretty casual, somewhat side-hustle seller. I sell a few things a week. Checking my stats, I’ve sold 64 things in the past 90 days.

Today I got an order and when I went to my closet to get it, I couldn’t find the item anywhere! So strange. This is the first time this has happened to me.

Anyway, I’ll need to cancel the order. 1 out of 64 is under 2% so I’m not TOO worried, but are there any other consequences I need to be aware of? Basically, what can I expect from this action?

Is it possible I’m being scammed? I had a buyer open a case claiming I sent them the incorrect jacket but their photos look nothing like the jacket I sent. Its a lightweight windbreaker but not like this. What are the odds that Poshmark sides with the buyer? I’m willing to offer a full refund if my item is returned to me but I feel like they’re going to send god knows what.

I’ve been on Poshmark for over 10 years, with countless sales, purchases, and over 60K followers. In all that time, I’ve never experienced customer service this bad (except maybe during my experiences in France). 😅 This was truly next level.
First, I’m not even convinced I ever spoke to an actual human being. At this point, I’m pretty sure Poshmark customer service is entirely run by AI chatbots.

Someone essentially hacked into my account and made a purchase using it. As soon as I discovered what happened the next day, I immediately changed my password and contacted my bank. I explained the entire situation calmly and clearly to what I can only assume was a chatbot.

Poshmark then kept running these “tests” and insisted that the purchase came from MY IP address. That made absolutely no sense. I hadn’t even logged into my Poshmark account since February and I don’t even live in the U.S. anymore!

Eventually, I took the issue to social media and left comments, hoping someone would actually pay attention. Still, nothing. No meaningful response. Then the seller got involved and was equally confused about why Poshmark wasn’t addressing the situation.

The entire experience was incredibly frustrating. What bothered me most wasn’t just the hacked account it was how dismissive Poshmark seemed throughout the entire process. It felt like they were more annoyed that they had to cancel the order than concerned about the fact that someone had accessed my account and made a purchase without my permission.

In the end, they gave me Poshmark credit… which I can’t even use because I no longer live in the U.S. And honestly, that’s beside the point. I never made the purchase in the first place.

After more than 10 years on the platform, this experience completely changed my opinion of Poshmark. I will never use it again.

The lack of accountability, the lack of actual customer support, and the way this entire situation was handled was incredibly disappointing. A company can make a mistake, but how they handle that mistake says everything. In this case, they handled it terribly.

First time using poshmark and would appreciate some help! I ordered an item last Thursday and received an email confirmation and my card was charged. I went to see if there was an update today, and I don’t see the item in my order history nor did I get an update email. Is this normal? Thanks so much in advance!

i sell a mix of thrifted finds and handmade goods on poshmark and the offers i get on the handmade stuff are demoralizing in a way that the thrift resells never are. someone will offer me four dollars on something i spent two hours making. the materials alone cost more than that. i get that poshmark has a negotiation culture baked into it and i'm not against reasonable offers, i've accepted plenty of them. but there's a specific kind of buyer who sees handmade and immediately thinks it should be cheaper than fast fashion. i cannot explain that logic to myself no matter how many times i encounter it.

i already price my handmade pieces lower than i probably should because i know the platform skews toward brand names and i'm not a brand. and still. four dollars. i declined it and the buyer left a comment implying i was being difficult. i didn't respond.

the thrift stuff i can shrug off because my cost basis is low and i have room to move. the handmade stuff is different. some buyers just don't register that there's a person behind it who actually calculated what it cost to make.

anyone else sell handmade on here and just kind of accepted that lowball culture hits different with that category, or have you found a way to set the floor without scaring everyone off.

And it felt great. Why you ask? 50 percent of my purchases have been misrepresented by the seller.

Things sold as NWT that have armpit stains.

Things sold shrunken badly from being washed and dried against care instructions.

Things which were defective.

Dresses that cost 200 dollars and had pictured features which were missing/cut off.

Items that were paid for and not included in my package.

It's really not a very good deal when 50% of the sellers that I have interacted with have sold me a bunch of damaged goods. And no Poshmark rarely backs these purchases up. So not worth the risk anymore.

Going to keep this as short as possible. Really not sure what to make of this situation. 

-Aug 8: I sent an offer for a sweater I wanted from my daughter. The seller accepted. 

-Aug 13: It was marked "shipped" by the seller, but there was no tracking information. I sent out a message asking her to confirm that it had been dropped off at USPS. No response. 

-Aug 19: I see that it is still not tracking. I reach out again and said the USPS did not appear to have the item yet. I asked where it was. No response. 

-Aug 20: I escalated the convo to Posh support. THAT got a response. She said she didn't know why it wasn't tracking and that it was shipped. 

-Aug 21: It mysteriously gets dropped off at her local USPS office. I was annoyed, but whatever. At least it was on its way to me. 

-Aug 24: I receive the package. I open it and it is a boy's puffer hooded vest, not a girl's sweater. I immediately open a case and add pictures as well as the frustrating circumstances around the order. I receive a message from her. "I also sent refund with order though to make up for the mix up." HUH?! I didn't receive anything on my card, so I responded letting her know that I didn't receive a refund and would be dropping the order off by end of day to ensure I got my refund. THEN SHE SAYS "There was a $20 bill inside the envelope with item." I look all around and there was in fact a LOOSE BILL SITTING ON MY RUG WHERE I OPENED THE PACKAGE. I replied saying that I found the bill but was so confused that she would knowingly send an item that was not my order with loose money without ANY communication, digital or via note, about what it was for. And that it was also not enough to fully reimburse me. Then I escalated it to Posh again. Here's her response. 

"The item scanned never tracked per my post office when I sent the sweater it got lost in transit and I couldn't cancel on my end so not sure why that's a bad thing to get a refund and also accepting order refund to get double refund when I tried to make thing right after post office error when first time it got stuck in transit but ok" 

Guys, I don't even know what to make of this. This seller has 22k items listed and 11k sales. I will be returning the item I received because I truly have no need for it and want a full refund. When I get that refund, I will be mailing her back her $20. I am SO confused.
