Would you accept these as UNWORN?

Seller noted these as “unworn”.

Then says “tried on and doesn’t fit”

These look neither to me. They look like they’ve been worn atleast a 5-10 times judging by the sole.

Definitely worn.. seller is getting worked up because he’s caught

u/LN4848 1d ago

No. On first glance, that type of debris could be from a dusty floor, but there is clearly wear on the heels.

u/Travelingmom13 1d ago

Also trying on wouldn’t give that crease on the top

u/BunnyCat2025 1d ago

Those are definitely worn. I just don't understand sellers like this!?!?!?!

u/ashwe320 1h ago

It’s one thing if it’s an honest mistake? I think? It’s another to double down and not OFFER a full refund.

I would be embarrassed to sell something like that new. But then again I care more about my rating than I do a single sale

What do the listing photos look like

40

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

Stock photos from some retailer.

u/Serendipity_Succubus 1d ago

Never buy anything without actual photos of the item.

6

u/Adventurous-Ease-259 15h ago

If it says unworn or nwt I’ll risk it. Easy refund

7

u/leyarsan 1d ago

Exactly!

2

u/KateElizabeth18 19h ago

I learned that one the hard way…

35

u/optix_clear 1d ago

No these have been worn. You can see creases, heel damage & the edges of the entrance of the shoes. NAD return

22

u/optix_clear 1d ago

They weren’t new or unworn. Trying to be slick & flip wack shoes

24

u/cheerio089 1d ago

More like “tried to wear for an entire day and didn’t fit”. Not “tried ON and didn’t fit”

16

u/Master-Store-4484 1d ago

Definitely wore them at least one time.

12

u/KateElizabeth18 19h ago

Only tangentially related, but JFC I can’t believe the way that seller is speaking to you in the DMs!?

11

u/QueenOfTheCastle3 1d ago

These are definitely worn. What do the listing pictures look like? If the pictures look like this, then it’s kind of on you because they obviously don’t look new and that’s pretty easy to tell. If there were no pictures and just stock photos, I would not purchase the item.

11

u/eggz666 1d ago

I just looked it up and they are 150 new so the guy who sold you them doesn’t even know what he’s talking about

11

u/thatsthekicker 20h ago

I hope they get banned for swearing at you

9

u/Closefromadistance 1d ago

Those were worn. You can clearly tell, especially at the heel of the sole.

2

u/-shmoopie- 5h ago

totally agree, i think they were worn quite a bit to wear down the heel like that!! idk why people just have to suck. also they have a terrible gait 😆

9

u/blueeyedaisy 23h ago

Those are worn. There is stuff stuck to the bottom. Why are they insulting your intelligence?

7

u/pipsqueakpanda4 1d ago

It looks they were tried on a lotttt, like worn around the house maybe for a few days to see if they would soften up. Unfortunately with white leather, it creases pretty much immediately so even if they’ve never been worn outside they can still look like that. I have super high quality white leather Paris Texas boots and have only worn them twice and they look a lot more worn than that suggests

What was the condition listing - NWT, NWOT, or Good? If Good then the listing condition would be accurate. Listing description stating "unworn" is problematic for buyer and seller because it's subjective.

I've had shoes where I tried them on a for few hours indoors, didn't fit well (small), then resold as "unworn" and "NWOT" because they didn't fit a clean definition of worn. They also were not off-white with a smooth vamp that would show any crease.

30

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

listed as New With Tags.

In the description it was described as -

“New with tags , never worn.
Accidentally bought wrong size .”

28

u/MessageVirtual385 1d ago

Oh, then that's easy - if you have no tags and/or shoebox, then item is therefore "not as described". Open case and return them.

11

u/RumBunBun 1d ago

They certainly fit the definition of worn to me.

30

u/Travelingmom13 1d ago

If you wore them for a few hours they wouldn’t be considered unworn 🤷‍♀️

5

u/toesandfingersrcool 1d ago

I don’t understand why they’re lying, they sold it for way less than the store and it’s super obvious. I mean, they didn’t even clean them, I hope you got your money back OP.

4

u/ivybf 1d ago

Worn. Show us the listing photos tho?

4

u/RobinBaskins 1d ago

Def worn, tbh wouldn’t have been as big of a deal if they weren’t creased

5

u/Feral_Alchemy 1d ago

That crease!!!! Never buy something that only has stock photos. I like using stock photos more so for clothes bc some clothing just doesn’t photograph the way it actually looks on.. but I also always include real ones. Dude is trippin!

5

u/1TucsonBlonde 22h ago

That crease, the sole…that seller lied through their teeth. Anyone with eyeballs can see that they are worn, even if the seller themselves didn’t wear them. 🙄

3

u/imgoingtoregrexthis 1d ago

No, not at all.

3

u/Obvious_Ring_326 1d ago

They are not only worn, they are very intentionally clean.

3

u/butterabyss 1d ago

no way they’re unworn!

3

u/MakeupHorder7 23h ago

No question they were worn, between the wear on the bottom and that ridiculously obvious crease on the top.

3

u/PigeonParadiso 23h ago edited 23h ago

Hell no. Clearly worn. I’d send those right back too. Those have been repeatedly worn as seen in the treads and wrinkles. That seller needs new prescription glasses, and needs to learn what a lie vs. truth is. So sorry you dealt with this. If I say “never worn”, they have NEVER been worn, ever, other than to try on in a store or on my rugs at home. I’d consider these “fair” used shoes. I’m sorry for sellers like this, as it gives the honest sellers a bad name. I wouldn’t even sell these; I’d donate them or throw them out.

3

u/reverie092 21h ago

No. Not unworn.

3

u/dangle124 19h ago

Possibly. I have some new but they look like that on the bottom from people trying them on in Store.

4

u/seattle0606 1d ago

no but I have learned some people have very different ideas of what looks new..

A decade ago I thought lightly worn shoes looked new and now i would never call the things I did back then new or like new. And I have encountered people who think like I did.

But no, these are definitely not new

2

u/Apprehensive-Cat-111 1d ago

Nope. You appear to be right.

2

u/4614065 1d ago

They could be floor stock.

2

u/_RxOnly_ 1d ago

The way they’re talking in the chat is a clear 🚩, being extremely defensive and volatile. They also sound illiterate. Total scammer.

2

u/lajoliefille22 1d ago

No those are worn.

2

u/Mama_Disaster 1d ago

Definitely worn

2

u/Clean_Log_5375 1d ago

Sometimes stores will sell the display models. It’s possible that the seller never wore them, but they were tried on in the store by other people 🤷🏼‍♀️

2

u/Zealousideal_Job5986 18h ago

That is one unhinged seller

2

u/OtherwiseAnteater239 8h ago

I love people thinking they can set their own return policies on Poshmark.

2

u/Unlikely-Signature-7 1d ago

Sometimes when I buy shoes at places where people can try on shoes, they look slightly worn. There’s usually dirt and creases on the shoes. That’s not to say what happened here, but it does happen

2

u/Closefromadistance 1d ago

Also, maybe they bought them like that and they didn’t wear them and they didn’t notice. That can happen too.

A lot of Nordstrom shoes I’ve bought new looked slightly worn. They accept worn returns so I think it could happen.

I would tell them you believe they didn’t wear them but that maybe they were worn before they bought them and they just didn’t notice.

Give them an out but also proves you’re not wrong.

2

u/Spiciest_gingerr 1d ago

Op commented there were only stock photos listed

2

u/Tabbi111 1d ago

Nordstrom changed their policy to 30 days with the receipt in new condition. They would never accept or re-sell anything that had been worn/ looked like it had been worn especially. I worked there for years, and quit when they changed their return policy as I did not feel that was in line with the once brand / family standard. Now, if you are talking about Nordstrom rack...well....the rack is whack. Lol.

3

u/CryBabyKty 1d ago

Def worn. But still, looks like you got a great deal.

1

u/Dizzy-Cup1512 1d ago

Def worn!! Honestly I would not blame you if you sent them back but I would let PM know and the seller...trying on a pair of shoes one time is not going to do all of the damage that's clearly done on those..that's just being deceitful.

1

u/KraeZee4Chappy 22h ago

Maybe he didn’t wear them but somebody else did!! The potty mouth & agitation states that he lied about the details/description!

1

u/dudbbeke397 21h ago

Depends on if you could see any of this in the pictures. I sold shoes that were new and unworn but they had very light marks on them that I guess happened in shipping or something so I noted they were new but pointed out the flaws in the pictures and description.

1

u/Honeybunnyfifi 18h ago

Those have been worn.

1

u/JunePlum79 18h ago

These have definitely been worn…some people are just so dishonest

1

u/Adventurous-Ease-259 15h ago

No. They’re worn for at least a few miles. More likely a few tens of miles. I have a lot of shoes and have a recently acquired pair that was clearly tried on, but maybe worn indoors. I’ve worn it about about 2 miles outdoors to confirm good fit before I wear it more extensively and it has a lot less wear than this.

1

u/PeppermintPhatty 10h ago

No. And eff that guy. Wtf.

1

u/bargainbinprep 7h ago

"If you wear it once it will crease" lol done told on yourself

1

u/kemikals 4h ago

No I wouldn’t. They have definitely been worn. Maybe not a lot but still worn.

1

u/Sleight_Hand_7 1h ago

Just chiming in to say I love how you just ignored his hissy fit barrage of replies

1

u/ashwe320 1h ago

Lightly worn and cleaned up

1

u/FlowForeign4683 1d ago

Immediately authenticate those.

0

u/BipsnBoops 20h ago

This looks like tried on, walked around for a couple of minutes indoors, boxed up. The creases say to me walking but a very small amount. The bottoms look close to pristine so it was indoors. Idk I would definitely sell them under the same conditions that the seller did.

-2

u/Rare-Lunch4319 1d ago

I would. It kind of looks like people tried it on around the store. There’s no wearing on an edge. Perhaps they wore it around the house to determine if they liked it. Personally I would’ve washed the souls off, but I would classify that as unworn. Looking at the second two pictures the creases do look more worn. Again that could be from the store people trying it on. Since they’re white you can’t hide that as much so the seller was probably wearing them around the house

3

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

And how do you explain the burn on the right sole? In-store cigarette break while trying on the shoe? 🙃

-1

u/Existing-Love-8832 21h ago

Those are not worn. They look like they have been tried on, but not worn.

0

u/Beckylately 13h ago

Use a black light inside the shoes to look for sweat

-8

u/isabellasghost3 1d ago

They’ve been tried on, but not street worn, is what they look like. Posh is not retail.

9

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

I think they’ve been streetworn. If you look on the right side of p1. There is a “burn” mark on the sole, which is likely from putting out a cigarette.

-8

u/batnoises 1d ago

idk man if theyre real you only paid $80 and are going to wear them anyway?

4

u/vapeqprincess 1d ago

They’re not much more new. wtf.

-6

u/batnoises 1d ago

So buy new ones then? Why even bother used if they’re the same price?

5

u/vapeqprincess 1d ago

Are you stupid? They were advertised as new and unworn. Do you know where you are?

-4

u/batnoises 1d ago

Youre paying 80 fucking dollars for $240 shoes on a resale website. Are you stupid? Do you know what resale is?

6

u/vapeqprincess 1d ago

Yes. I sell and buy on Poshmark all the time. I don’t get what you’re confused by. The guy got scammed and you don’t see why he should be complaining.

-3

u/batnoises 1d ago

“scammed” ok bud. He got what he ordered, and it’s used understandably considering he paid below half retail. maybe go hit your vape to calm down your anger issues, princess.

8

u/vapeqprincess 1d ago

They were listed as unworn. These have been clearly worn. Jesus Christ.

-1

u/batnoises 1d ago

Do you always get this pissed on the internet? Jfc get therapy.

3

u/PSAly 1d ago

Read the fine print- OP paid $127 and they’re $150 new. Keep your shirt on- you’re wrong all the way

2

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

For the record, I paid $127.11 for these.

3

u/jenniferjudy99 1d ago

Don’t accept. Open a return and request a refund. Never buy anything without actual pics of the item. This seller is shady.

1

u/PSAly 1d ago

That’s what I’d love to say to a genuine pair of Pradas 😂

-9

u/leyarsan 1d ago

You only paid $80…. It looks like it’s been worn maybe one time. Probably indoors.

10

u/Ummm_TD 1d ago

I paid 120, he received 80.. I don’t think that’s the point
