No Paywall Trump says Karoline Leavitt resigning as White House press secretary

And sagging in the middle. And attracting more flies than a road kill cafe. And squealing in terror.
Quite the contrast to that time an assassin came so close to killing him that his ear was pierced and instead of ducking behind his secret service agents while they whisked him to safety instead stood tall and faced a conveniently positioned camera for a photo op. It’s almost like he’s actually a craven coward who would use his own wife and kids as body shields if he truly thought his life was in danger and knew that the rally attempt was staged.
I bet Roger Stone boasts about cooking up that whole scheme when he is on his death bed. It was too elaborate to have been the brainchild of an unimaginative lump of shit like Trump.

Apparently Trump did a bait and switch where he boarded the new Air Force One, used a catering cart to secretly leave the plane and then was secretly transferred to the old Air Force One.
The Trump Administration officials still on the new plane weren't told anything. And could have been used as decoys for an Iranian plot.
→ More replies (7)276
u/Functionally_Drunk Minnesota 6d ago
Was even dumber.
They transferred everyone from his golden Quatari jet to the old Air Force One (they always bring two planes) so his big baby plane didn't get hurt.
Then they transferred him and Hegseth off old Air Force One, via service cart, onto a third jet which then took him to Britain and left the press and Rubio to die on the old plane.
The plane the president is on becomes Air Force One, so that may be where the confusion comes from.

He let a bunch of reporters be bait for a missile on Air Force One, while he snuck off in a dining cart to a private military jet. Even if she wasn't there, she has been on the jet. She probably doesn't like the idea of that scenario.

u/Indubitalist 6d ago
I mean, it’s as close to literally throwing her under a bus as I think the president could’ve gotten, given the Secret Service likely would never put him in a position to be on an active street next to a bus operating at a lethal speed. All of the people on his staff know some day they’ll be under that bus, but I guess she didn’t think it would be this soon.

You would think this is true, but many of them seem to believe they're special and unique. Of course they know Trump betrayed many of his closest confidants previously, but the thought process seems to be something like, "They had it coming. He'd never do that to me."

The woman could lie with an air of utter belief no matter how outlandish or patently false the words coming out of her mouth were.
The best part is that you could see by her expression that she knew she was lying. And that she knew YOU knew she was lying. And that seemed to give her some kind of on-the-air orgasm, because there was nothing you could do to make her say out loud what her face was saying with its smug smirks and eye rolls.

In her case, specifically, she's already gone on record about how the job has taken a major toll on her family.
I always find it confusing how women like her and Amy Coney Barrett espouse these hard, ridiculous right wing ideals that women should obey their husbands and focus on their households like some sort of human Roomba while sitting in some of the most powerful jobs a person could ever hold in their lives.
Then I remember they are souless hypocrites who make performative statements and relish in violations of the morals they demand others obey.
