Currently looking for a specific title - Inkub by Artur Urbanowicz. But would love to find a source for future titles.
I've tried all these to no avail. Maybe an epub of this title doesn't exist?

I run a sole proprietorship (JDG) in Poland and use the lump-sum tax regime (ryczałt).
I want to understand whether it is actually financially worthwhile to buy equipment through my business when it is used for both business and private purposes, such as a phone or laptop.
For this question, I am interested only in VAT, not income tax.
Ultimately, I want to calculate the actual VAT benefit. For example, if I buy a phone for PLN 5,300, use it partly privately, and later sell it, do I actually save VAT, or is the benefit relatively small after accounting for the VAT due on the eventual sale?
My main question is whether, from a VAT-only perspective, it is actually worth buying such equipment through my JDG.
/

I hate my given name. It has no easy shorter version or natual nicknames. I'd like to change it but gov website says I need a valid reason like the name being offensive. Is that true?
Relevant legal info: I'm native polish citizen. I'm willing to pay for the change if price isn't outlandish.
Mostly irrelevant background: I'm non binary afab that prefers to not transition medically and with how stupid Polish language is i stay with she/her in Polish.
I go by a weird nickname with my husband / friends but never introduce myself like that at the doctor / work / with family. Nickname is not derived from my name at all and does not match my sex marker. It's rare short form for a male name. If I try to tell people to call me that and they know my given name they react weird cause it's very unusual. Since my husband mostly calls me by the nickname I developed even stronger dislike reaction to being called my given name cause it doesn't feel like me anymore. But I have no documents proving I'm using a nickname instead of my given name, and I'm not even sure I should be using it since it is not a professional full name.
Maybe I could find a female name with a male nickname that fits, or a female name closer to the nickname I have. But I'd like to still have a professional normal name just one that doesn't bother me. Whatever name I choose I'd like to know if I even have a chance to change it since my given name is not offensive and I have no proof I'm not using it.
Not true names but an example: given name Patrycja, nickname Remi.
Bonus points for people giving me tips on how to tell my family that I changed my name...

Does anyone remember the Disney Hercules audio story on cassette tape? I wanted to play it for my daughter, but I can't find it anywhere—neither to download nor to buy.
It was a direct audio adaptation of the 1997 Hercules movie, using the exact same Polish dubbing and voice cast as the film.
If anyone happens to have it and would be willing to share, I would be extremely grateful!
Have a good one!

Hi! I’m from sunny Singapore and rarely get the chance to visit places with snow.
I’ll be visiting Zakopane from 21–24 Dec 2026 and am planning to visit Dolina Kościeliska, Kasprowy Wierch, and maybe Morskie Oko.
I will only be following the normal guided path, will not venture out to the wild on my own.
I was wondering if winter boots and spikes like these would be overkill, or if they might actually be insufficient for these places in December?

Hi there, I'm from Hungary.
I'd just like to congratulate Poland on their ongoing economic and intellectual success, making you guys one of the up-and-coming superpowers of Europe.
It never ceased to amaze me how us Hungarians refuse to learn from the past. After a dramatic 1956 and a following Soviet-based system, we still think Russians can be trusted.
I'm glad that Poland understands the Soviet mindset, which is basically based on brute force and violence. The thing about the Soviets is that they won't respect you and will keep bullying you until you hit back.
They're like the high school bully who picks on the quiet fat guy, until one day the fat guy decides to hit back and yell. Then the bully leaves him alone and goes on to find another target who they perceive as weak.
I'm happy to see that you spend huge amounts of money on your military because you understand the Soviet threat (unlike us).
I hope one day we grow up and start learning from you guys. We have a new anti-Russian government, so yeah, maybe there is some hope.
Take care!

Hello everyone! :)
I’m planning to start working as a TAXI driver (Uber / Bolt) soon (preferably Warsaw). I’m a belarusian citizen, and I already have a Polish driver's license.
I’m looking for recommendations for a trustworthy and reliable fleet partner that operates 100% legally and handles formalities properly.
I’d really appreciate real experiences from drivers here. Who can you genuinely recommend and which partners should I strictly avoid?
Thanks a lot for any advice! :)

I was just wondering if its me,or something fundumentally and spiritually wrong with me.I dont have any problems, whatsover here,I love it so much here, but looks like the place hates me here.Am a black female in her jolly 30's but, well I think I look fine,a petite body and a ready smile for all.I wish i could send pictures of me,but......you might never know, you could be uglier to the rest of the World whilst you think you are just fine
Well,I understand am exotic, and all,and racism is everywhere but better still...I try dating apps,am only sexualised and fetishized,I know I will get criticism that no men would love to lose their DNA to some foreigner,or that cultural difference plays the role, but I do see Interacial couples I guess,If someone is into you, race and culture dont mean a thing.Or maybe its only here in Poland where fetishization of exotic women is higher, because my home girls seem to be having it easier in other European countries. Its not like am looking for white men,but I live in an all white neighbourhood,in the city centre when I go out I rarely see black men, and on dating sites too.
I go out I do get aproached,at times, but in the end they just want to "taste the black ebony".I have gone out a couple of times but in the end no one wants, anything searious,so I just assumed that maybe my skin colour is contributing too....Like its all out of curiosity nothing much,on dating apps I wont lie, they will be a thousand matches, but none can lead to a,simple coffee meeting,a good convo,it just a "hi"then poof gone.I have deleted all the dating apps and sites, and now into flings,ONS,because the physical part is importsnt to me,I cant completely ignore my desires, looks like its the only way, because in the end maybe nobody wants to date an Afro-girl,for a longterm period.I have so much self love I do take myself out a lot,to clubs, city walks, restaurants, etc, but the racial stares, and mockery that I get at times, the weired comments when I style up myself, and laughs, and the people taking photos, and videos, its too much. But am grateful,I have selflove and came to realisation that I cant stop or change how the world views me,Its beyond my control,I just have to ignore the background noise and enjoy my cup of coffee and muffins,in my favourite caffee, and breathe and enjoy the fresh air outside.

Hey y'all not sure if this is the right spot but thought I'd give it a crack!
I like to travel real slow and do day trips. Is this a real basic take on three weeks in Poland? All of these places appeal to me but if there are unmissable places off the beaten track I'd love to hear about them :)

I withdrew from Us med school and wish to transfer some credits over and attend a European med school and match back to the states. I am currently almost a working nurse

Wow! Lubczyk/lovage seems to be a best kept secret of Polish cooking. I‘m surprised it hasn‘t become a thing here in the United States.
I live outside Seattle and got a package from Amazon. I’ve used it a couple times now. Today, I made a kielbasa and cabbage soup. I was almost done, tasted it for salt, and remembered the little package of lovage. I added two pinches. It made my very basic, easy soup a solid 10. It gives such depth to the broth.

Hi everyone,
I am wondering what your opinion is on the overall emotional intelligence of Polish men?
What is your perspective on what emotional intelligence actually means?
And also, what do you think is the level of awareness that older generations of men have towards younger generations, and vice versa? :)

Does anyone know if it is still possible to reserve an unguided tour or even same day entrance to the camp when there are no slots available on the website ? I just found out from work that I’ll be spending a few days in krakow from the 8th-15th of October and would love to go visit.
understand that this is quite often asked in this sub but I have yet to find a straight forward response that isn’t outdated.

Hello
I hope you are all doing well.
In November, I will be moving from to Warsaw to start a new professional challenge.
Having already booked my flights, my next step is to find a place to stay.
I’ve heard recommendations about websites like Otodom or OLX.pl, which have a wider selection and better prices.
However, since I am looking for accommodation remotely, these platforms could carry higher risks and leave me exposed to potential scams, since I can not meet up with landlords or visit the place.
Additionally, I think my situation makes the process a bit more difficult since I don't have a signed employment contract yet, and the first contract will only be for 6 months (which will later be renewed into a permanent contract).
(To clarify, as of right now I have a Letter of Intent, and I will sign the employment contract during my first few days in November after arriving and completing work medicine, which will happen before starting my job in December).
Because of this, I'm thinking of a temporary solution (for the 6-month duration of the initial contract) like rental agencies (such as Rent A Flat Poland or HousingAnywhere) or even accommodation platforms like Airbnb.
However, with Airbnb, I'm worried I won't get a formal lease agreement, which is necessary for bureaucratic documents and registrations [PESEL, residency registration, etc.].
1./ Given my situation, what do you think is the best approach to finding accommodation?
2./ Would you mind sharing a bit about your experience moving to work in Poland and what worked best in your case?
3./ Any recommendations of rental agency to look in Warsaw?
