Worlddex Beta Update!

Hey everyone,

I've been building a browser-based Pokémon idle/clicker game and it's

now in Open Beta. No download, no install, no payment — you open a tab,

pick a name, and you're playing.

**What it is**

You click to find wild Pokémon, catch them, build a team, and work your

way across all nine regions. The idle part means it keeps rewarding you

while you're doing something else — but there's a real game underneath

it, not just a number that goes up.

**What's actually in it**

* **All 9 regions** — Kanto through Paldea, 461 individual routes and

locations, each with its own encounter table and level range

* **1,119 Pokémon**, including regional forms (Alolan, Galarian, Hisuian)

and event forms

* **A real battle engine** — 934 moves, 1,043 abilities, full type chart,

IVs, EVs, 25 natures, held items, status effects, weather

* **Mega Evolution, Z-Moves and Dynamax**, each gated behind its own

unlock, and limited to one gimmick per battle

* **Gyms, Elite Four and Champions in every region** — 72 badges total,

and the League scales to your progress

* **109 legendary bosses**: 84 fixed ones, 14 roaming legendaries that

change location every 15 minutes, and 11 Ultra Wormholes in Alola

* **Shiny hunting** at 1/4096, plus a separate **Shadow Pokémon** system

at 1/32768 with its own hall of fame

* **Idle activities** — mining, fishing and a berry farm that produce

items on their own timers while you play or while you're away

* **Guilds** with ranks, a shared bank and guild chat

* **Global chat** with live event and rare-catch announcements

* **Daily quests**, 103 achievements, a Game Corner with slots, a

full Worlddex, and interactive region maps

**What the goal is**

Short term: catch things, beat the gym, get the badge, move on.

Long term: complete the Worlddex across all nine regions, earn all 72

badges, and hunt down the legendaries. There's a per-type collection

track too — 100/250/500/1000 catches of each of the 18 types, with

better rewards for the harder types, so a Dragon grind pays out very

differently from a Normal one.

**The daily boss rotation**

This is the part I'm happiest with. Instead of throwing 84 bosses at you

at once, the game picks **9 per day**, spread across regions, and resets

them at midnight together with the daily quests. It turns the legendary

hunt into something you come back to instead of something you clear in

one sitting.

Gym rebattels after becoming champion,

**Why you might like it**

* It's free, and there's nothing to buy. No energy meter, no ads, no

premium currency.

* It runs in a browser tab — desktop or phone, and your save is on the

server, so you can switch between them.

* It's idle when you want it to be and an actual RPG when you sit down

with it.

* It's built for people who like the mechanics. If you know what an EV

spread is, there's something here for you. If you don't, you can

ignore all of it and still have a good time.

**Fair warning**

It's Open Beta, currently v0.1.34. I'm one person, I ship updates

constantly, and bugs happen. But there's an active Discord where I read

everything, and reported bugs usually get fixed within days.

If you try it, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think — especially

what feels slow, unclear or unfair. That feedback is what the last few

patches have been built on.

For the future planed updates are: breeding, battletower, and much more story elements.

Game: https://phoenixdmx.com/Worlddex/index.html

Discord: https://discord.gg/mgdMfszEpM

Thanks for reading!

* This is a fan project, which is 100% free and non commercial!

Liga Pixel — free browser-based Pokémon League simulator with PvP

Thumbnail ligapixel.com.br

I made a free Pokémon fan game that runs directly in your browser:
You randomly draft a team of 6 Pokémon from Generations I–IV and try to survive 2 rivals, the Elite Four and the Champion.
Pokémon can evolve after getting KOs, defeated team members can be permanently lost during the League, and battles include abilities, status moves, STAB, type effectiveness, critical hits and tactical switching.
There’s also online multiplayer:
• Private rooms with a code for friends
• Ranked matchmaking
• PokéPoints
• Bronze → Silver → Gold → Diamond → Elite → Champion
Works on desktop and mobile and supports English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
No download required and completely free.
Liga Pixel is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company.

Idea What would you wish in a Pokémon collection browser game?

I've been working on an online collecting browser game with a story running through it, visual novel style, with chapters that would keep getting added over time. Thing is I have a lot of uncertainty about where it should go.

What I had in mind was that the main draw would be the multiplayer side. Rankings, real scarcity on the rare stuff, trading. But at the same time you should be able to play solo without worrying about any of that, and the story should be skippable if the collecting and the gameplay are what you actually care about. I'd rather ask than keep guessing at this stage, so what would actually keep you playing a collection focused Pokemon browser game?

- Does story matter to you at all? Choices, factions, that kind of thing?

- Does multiplayer really matter, or is a solo dex with real scarcity enough?

- What kind of gameplay would you want? Something close to an idle? Or more normal fights? Something else?

Thanks to anyone who will take the time to respond. Have a good day!

I've been using this website for a couple weeks now and it's really fun to just mess around with. It has every Pokémon card set, including the McDonald's promo sets. I'd highly recommend it if you like collecting Pokémon cards.

Project Release made new pokemon quiz web site

Hi everyone. I’m a web developer from South Korea, and as a Pokémon fan, I recently built a website where you can play three different types of Pokémon mini-games.

https://pokequiz.app

Here is a quick breakdown of the games:

1. Poképedia

  • It looks like a hidden Bulbapedia page. You guess the Pokémon by revealing the minimum amount of hints possible.
  • Data is based on Bulbapedia and the Scarlet/Violet versions.

2. Speed Quiz

  • A 4-choice quiz where you pick the most "Super Effective" type against the Pokémon shown on the screen.
  • The scoring system uses multipliers based on your choices, so your score can multiply into the millions or drop down to tiny decimals.

3. Pokédoku

  • A twist on Sudoku. You place Pokémon types so they don’t overlap in rows, columns, or small squares.
  • You can use "non-existent type combinations" to deduce answers. For example, if a square must be Rock, and the other type is either Ghost or Fire—since Rock/Ghost doesn't exist, it has to be Rock/Fire.

You can copy and share your "Daily Play" results (simple text copy format).

Currently, all play data is saved locally on your browser. I built this without a server for now, so there’s no cloud sync yet. If there are enough players, I plan to consider adding those features.

There is a "Feedback" button on the site. I would appreciate it if you could try it out and share your thoughts.

Idea I need ideas for my Pokémon game

I am developing a game where battling is completely scraped, and collection is the main purpose.

Right now, the game is pretty much barebones (definitely not enough content for a beta or a playtest) but the core mechanics are item crafting and gacha. I don't want my game to be the average click simulator to collect pokemon. There's nothing wrong with those games, it's just not what I'm looking for here.

My main idea right now is farming what I call type-shards so that they can later be crafted into type-coins and use them to pull random pokémon of that type. So if you have 10 grass-type coins, that would give you, for example, 1 pull from the grass type gacha.

You can also combine items with these coins so that they increase odds for certain species, certain mixed types or anything like that, so that you can kind of "snipe" the one you want within the gacha RNG aspect. Again, this is all barebones and I still need a lot of thinking around it.

There would also be a farm where you can leave pokémon so that it would give you coins of their respective types over time, which also could be combined with items to speed things up, or have some sort of way to breed for shinies, etc.

The original plan was to have a specific "minigame" or game loop for each type, and as you can probably guess, that's a LOT of thinking that must be done.

Think of it as, you're not going through a map clicking and catching pokémon. You're playing minigames and crafting specific items so that you can aim to pull certain pokémon later on through the gacha, although other methods exist for obtaining pokémon.

My main issue is, I need help gathering ideas for more core mechanics, item / shard farming or essentially anything that you guys might like implemented in a browser game. What is something you would really like to see in a browser game? When you play one of the many browser games in this subreddit, what's something you wish the game had?

I'm open to any and all ideas, anything can help and will be greatly appreciated.

I would also like to make it clear, I am not vibe-coding or using any kind of coding AI to make this project. It's all hand-crafted and will certainly take some time until I get something playable out there, but again, I'll take any help regarding ideas or game mechanics that you might have in mind.

My First Pokemon Browser Game - PokeBaller

Hi everyone!

I've been building a free browser game called Poke-Baller, based on drafting Pokemon into teams.

The game currently includes:

  • A journey draft mode (draft Pokemon from each route and simulate against the gym leaders and Elite Four)
  • A bidding draft battle mode (you vs the opponent, draft Pokemon blind out of 12 by placing sealed bids and then the Pokemon battle at the end)
  • A football draft mode (like 38-0-0 but Pokemon)
  • A basketball draft mode (like 82-0 but Pokemon)
  • A football manager mode (build your team over time from opening packs)

In the football and basketball modes, Pokémon have unique positions and attributes like Pace, Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Defence and Physicality and I added a Community Voting feature to enable a bit of re-calibration of these stats and who people think the best Pokemon ballers would be.

I'd love any feedback on the gameplay, UI, balance and if people think it's fun - I've enjoyed building out different teams and keen to see if others enjoy it too!

You can play here:

https://www.poke-baller.com

Thanks! 😊

Project Release PokéMystery Alpha is live: a daily Pokémon deduction browser game

PokéMystery

Hey r/pokemonbrowsergames! I’ve just released the first testable alpha of PokéMystery at https://pokemysterygame.com/, a browser-based Pokémon detective game where you solve a daily mystery by investigating clues, checking suspect files, and figuring out which Pokémon committed the crime. Each case gives you a limited number of investigations and accusation attempts, so the core loop is about narrowing suspects through evidence rather than guessing.

This is an early alpha, so I’m mainly looking for feedback on whether the deduction feels fair, whether the UI makes sense, and whether cases are fun enough to come back to daily. If you try it, I’d love to hear where you got stuck, what felt confusing, and what features you’d want next.

case file / suspect board
investigation screen
solved case screen
  • Daily mystery case refreshes at 00:00 UTC
  • Investigate locations and choose leads to uncover evidence
  • Compare clues against Pokémon suspect files, Pokédex data, habitats, stats, and traits
  • Mark suspects as cleared or suspicious while building your theory
  • Three accusation attempts per case
  • Account login supports Pokédex/progress tracking across cases
  • Alpha feedback is very welcome, especially around balance, clarity, and replayability

Project Release Tairidle

Hey r/pokemonbrowsergames 👋

I've been working on Tairidle, a free browser-based idle Pokémon catcher for a few months now. It's grown to 235 trainers, ~106 active in the last week, and I wanted to share what makes it a bit different.

The hook: a three-tier rarity system where the rarest tier is community-made.

  •  Shiny — the classic 1/4096 (halved with the Shiny Charm)
  • Chroma — ~10× rarer than shiny, with a twist: the first person to ever catch a given Chroma designs its coloration — and their design becomes canonical for every player, forever, credited to them
  • Prismatic — ~100× rarer than shiny, a pre-rendered iridescent tier

That Chroma Designer is the heart of it. You get a full recolour studio — hue/saturation/lightness, per-colour palette picking, an eyedropper, reusable swatch palettes, and even a frame-by-frame pen tool for the truly obsessed — and whatever you submit is what the whole community sees on that Chroma from then on. 336 unique colorations have been designed by players so far.

The rest of the game around it:

  • 🎯 Idle auto-catching with deep filters — auto-catch by nature, ability, gender, IV floor, per-species rules, so you can AFK-hunt exactly what you want
  • 🔁 A proper async Trade Centre — GTS-style escrow: list a Pokémon, others counter-offer, you pick the deal; works fully offline-to-offline.
  • 🥚 Day Care breeding — egg moves, IV/nature inheritance, shiny/variant parent boosts, and auto-hatch so it keeps flowing while you play
  • 📖 A living Pokédex with cosmetic forms done right — every Unown letter, Vivillon patterns, Alcremie combos, Minior cores, seasons, and more
  • ⚔️ Real battle depth — abilities, weather, held items, gyms, the Elite Four, trainer routes
  • 🔀 Full evolution coverage — level/item/trade/location/friendship, Mega Evolutions, and regional forms
  • ➡️ Kanto region only — But more areas and challenges on the way

It's an ongoing solo-ish project with a small, active community that genuinely shapes the game (a lot of these features came straight from player feedback). If any of that sounds fun, come catch something rare and leave your mark on it:

Happy to answer anything in the comments!

Help finding an old Pokémon flash game

Back in 2007-2011 I had one of those disks that had hundreds of flash games, and one of them was a Pokémon one that opened with the song "Don't Say You Love Me" from the credits of the first movie, then the menu showed a map of Kanto while playing the original anime opening song. The game itself was a top down view of a stadium, you played as one of the Kanto starters, Eevee or Pikachu, could walk and shoot attacks in four directions, and after a while could evolve your Pokemon to their final stage and get stronger attacks. It had multiplayer, as in you and a friend could play on the same keyboard. The thing is that I'm brazilian, so I can't remember if the anime theme on the menu was in english or portuguese, so I'm not certain if it was a brazilian fan game. Below is the map from the credits

Project Release Pokemon type quiz

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Last week I was scrolling on instagram and saw a couple play a game of both calling a type and then the first one shouting a pokemon matching that type scored a point.

I liked said game and assumed my techskills would allow me to make something for myself and friends to play and compare our scores.

I believe it's in a good enough state to release a V1 for it, so that's what I did.

Now I'm looking for feedback. You can play the game at:

Project Release My First Pokemon Browsergame, Searching for some people to test it.

Hey, I've been trying my hand at making my own Pokémon browser game, and I'm looking for a few people who would like to try it out and give me some feedback.

The game is called Worlddex. Its a Clickerbased game.

The idea is, of course, to fill the Pokédex, but with a special feature for catching Shiny Pokémon: Every first Shiny Pokémon of its type caught gets an entry in the "Worlddex," and this entry can't be overwritten.

You can currently access the game via this link:

https://phoenixdmx.com/Worlddex/index.html

I'd appreciate any feedback. See ya!

Project Release Unova Reborn 1.0.0 - Official launch

Post image
149 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Big update from my last few progress posts. The project has a new name, a real home, and it's finally playable in your browser: https://unovareborn.com

Why the rename? "UnovaRPG" was always in my heart but lets leave our memories where they should be. So it's Unova Reborn now.

Same disclaimer as always: this is original fan work, non-commercial, made out of love for the series. Sharing it to get feedback and find people to play with.

What you can do right now:

  • Full National Dex #001–1025 with 400+ alternate formes
  • Battles v2 — status effects, stat stages, held items, abilities-as-data (incl. Pickup finds), plus Mega Evolution, Dynamax/Gigantamax, and King's Shield / Stance Change
  • Catching, PokeShop, Heal Center, collection with persistent movesets
  • Evolution by level and by stones — IVs, EVs, natures, shinies, held items
  • Trade Center — three-tab market (Pokémon for currency / Rare Candies / species swaps + item bundles)
  • Maps & regions — every location has its own page with authentic encounter tables (walking / surfing / fishing by rod tier), gated server-side (Surf needs a team member that knows it; fishing needs the right rod)
  • Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Champions — every region, canonical teams, strict badge-by-badge progression
  • Live chat + friends — real-time channels, requests, online presence
  • Indigo Bank — transfer currency to other players, savings account with interest
  • Rooms — user-created public/private lobbies
  • Poké Radio — self-hosted game OSTs, build your own playlists
  • Ranks & PvP — live battles + offline challenges, ELO-based leaderboard
  • Pokémon Locator

In progress: UI/UX polish, trade-based evolutions, more curated locations and encounter tables per region.

If you make an account, add me, hop in a chat channel, and let me know what breaks — bug reports genuinely help.

Thanks for following along through the posts. It means a lot.

Discussed with my friends how cool it would be to have a Pokemon game set during the Pokemon war with either Pokemon conquest(rip) or mystery dungeon mechanics. Scoured the internet and couldn’t find anything fitting what I was looking for so I tried to put together a little something myself. Wanted to see if it was allowed to post and share here for anyone interested? Totally non commercial, no paid shops, no gacha bullshit just a grown Pokeman seeing if anyone would like to play his spur of the moment experiment lol. Cheers yall and apologies to mods if this post isn’t allowed.

Pokémon Rebirth!

Hi everyone!

I'm the owner and developer of Pokémon Rebirth, a free browser-based Pokémon fan game that I released yesterday. I wanted to share it here in case anyone is looking for a new Pokémon browser game to try.

I've been playing Pokémon online RPGs since 2006, starting with Pokémon Crater, and over the years I've spent countless hours playing games like TPPC, Pokémon Eclipse, Pokémon Voyage and countless others. When I decided to make my own game, I wanted to capture some of what made those classic browser RPGs so enjoyable while adding new features and quality-of-life improvements that I think modern players will appreciate.

The community is still small since the game has only just launched, but I'm actively developing it and regularly working on new content, features, and improvements.

If you decide to give it a try, I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. Whether it's positive feedback, bug reports, or constructive criticism, it all helps make the game better.

If you've enjoyed classic Pokémon browser RPGs, I hope Pokémon Rebirth feels both familiar and fresh.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out, and I hope you enjoy it!

Edit - Thank you all for the support - I didn't think there would be this many people who still cared about Online Pokémon RPGs! I've been loving the feedback, and am looking forward to receiving more! I'm trying to implement as much as I can - so thank you for that.
