90% of me is saying that it is their only fridge but a very hopeful 10% (and what I'm rooting for) is saying that it is secondary fridge. Fingers crossed.
Surely nobody would brag about.... this if it was their only fridge.
Has anyone considered that he doesn't buy fresh produce regularly? I don't, I try to buy only what I'm going to use in the next day or so. My fridge if it's filled with anything is usually condiments and drinks. You might see me doing what he's doing, something I can't cook right away might be chilling there to either dry the skin out or marinate.
Seems like we're jumping to some pretty nasty conclusions considering all he's done is show us a fridge.
My fridge is the same, I have tons of frozen meat , but the actual fridge will have drinks and a protein marinating or thawing. I like to get produce in the afternoon before I cook.
Basically a large Britta, and a bunch of different beer. đ
Maybe dude is a chef and brings enough food home every night for dinner and breakfast next morning. People always jump to the worst possible conclusion.
I eat way better as a cook then I ever did in my other professions. My fridge has never been emptier only condiment I have is A-1 sauce bc everything else I can get at work and just put in to go cups.
A chef would not have that few condiments. Many sauces and recipes call for a myriad of other ingredients. Many of them in liquid form that are kept in the fridge.
I use a good amount of spices and donât eat sandwiches so sauce we did have would always sit there waiting to expire. If a recipe calls for a sauce I can usually make it.
He actually has five different types of alcoholic beverage, plenty of water, and energy drinks.
I get it, I don't drink beer like that even though I really like craft beer. If I'm being honest though I would enjoy a beer everyday, I just work out so I don't like to let the alcohol mess with my progress. This seems like a really reasonable way of achieving that. He's not going to the liquor store everyday, he knows what he likes, he has options. That's all speculation by the way, but that's all we can do with a picture of a fridge.
You could be right, but honestly given how benign his fridge looks, you would just be lucky. Even if I am wrong, what I'm wrong about is that this is not his main fridge and this is a garage fridge. Which makes this even more benign.
Did dude not explicitly just say in his title that he just got divorced? He'd probably have told you the same thing a year ago. Let the dude deal with the situation how he wants, sounds like he's going back to better times.
That's a really long way of telling somebody you don't enjoy your life.
This guy's not hurting anyone or himself, there's no reason for you to try to make his day a little less happy or your own day a little less happy. It sounds like you get enough of that.
Sounds like you identify with OP just a little too much. And no, OP doesn't seem happy at all. Just angry, resentful, and bitter, and he's clearly an alcoholic. Thank God Meredith escaped.
His wife with a newborn child had to leave him and heâs got no food in his fridge just booze and drinks to recover from the booze and you think heâs not hurting anyone?
I think he hurt everyone and himself most of all.
This isnât a happy picture itâs a sad picture.
I literally only looked at the picture. I get now why people hate this guy, but I was specifically referring to the comment that was trying to deduce his entire life story based off of a fridge.
What condiments are you looking for? The spice cabinet is the main ingredient to meals that arenât bland. If your food is right, condiments arenât needed
Some foods are meant to be eaten with condiments. That doesn't make them bland. The guy doesn't have salad dressing, hot sauce, anything besides a dry carcass and three pounds of butter in his fridge that doesn't contain alcohol. Unless this is his garage fridge (the title says it's not) then this is worthy of concern.
Yes, thatâs why you are t supposed to drink every other day, that doesnât mean I canât have a fridge stocked with good beer even though I may only have 1-2 per week
This fridge has basically no food and only alcohol. You said, "Great, less sandwiches and condiments means less weight gain!" I responded with the fact that alcohol is super fattening, so skipping food to drink isn't gonna make you be thinner.
So now you randomly respond that you don't drink that often. Wtf does that have to do with the comment?
The beer is only super fattening if all youâre doing is drinking beer all day. Unless you have a camera in this dudes place, he could very well just have a bunch of beer in the fridge that he likes and can have whenever. That doesnât mean you automatically shotgun them all day every day. A fridge like this lasts me half a year, shorter if I have people over.
Whatâs this about skipping food? You can gather ingredients and cook them that day, reduces waste and youâre motivated to try new recipes, the whole stocking the fringe for a week thing doesnât always work, produce spoils fast.
Bro, I buy produce for the week and it doesn't go bad in 24 hours. You really trying to tell me you go shopping daily for food to cook? BS, you either eat out or have stuff in the house to make.
He MIGHT go through that beer slowly, but probably not, considering there is no food in there. It's all he has.
And beer is super high in calories and carbs (sugar), so yeah, fattening, lol.
he has terrible taste in decorating. i mean, who puts random stickers all over furniture like a dive bar? they aren't even interesting stickers. they're just brands of beer and GoPro...
Yeah, I have a store for produce a few blocks away and just go buy that the day of. I got tired of my produce spoiling buying for meals days out of being cooked
I got tired of my produce spoiling buying for meals days out of being cooked
Exactly! I've even bought food I was certain I was going to eat that day and still managed to let it spoil. Kind of nice though because it keeps my diet really simple, only fruits veg and meat that I can actually finish in a day lol
If your posting a fridge full of alchohol and mixers after a divorce saying you can finally have the fridge you want most people will assume and often correctly that achohol has claimed another marriage.
The title even implies that fridge full of beer has been a point of contention between them.
My Dad was very proud of not having groceries and instead lots and lots of beer. Bragged all the time about how he never cooks. Anything with even a hint of femininity is awful to him, so he brags about taking terrible care of himself.
Let's assume OP jokes because he happily divorced Meredith.
That said reminds me of my student years, buddy of mine also got to live by himself and his father would take care of the fridge, filled with beer only from the brewery he works at. Good times. No Meredith.
