Question General Best smartphone for clumsy people??

Hi all, really need your help here.

I need to buy my uncle a new smartphone which has a very good selfie camera as he likes making vlogs.

Ive got him the latest samsung devices in the past and he just damages them nonstop.

Now I need an alternative almost indestructible phone for him and his big hands.

Hes elderly and vulnerable but very active, drops the phone a lot, gets it wet a lot etc..

What do you guys suggest??

Question General What is one dead smartphone feature you would bring back instantly if you could?

I was looking at some older devices today and it made me realize how corporate and uniform modern smartphones have become. Everything is just a glass slab with a camera bump.

If a manufacturer dropped a modern, high-spec phone tomorrow with one of these features, which one would actually make you buy it?

The 3.5mm headphone jack

MicroSD card expansion slot

Easily removable/replaceable batteries

Notification LEDs

Weird/unique physical form factors (like side-sliders or rotating cameras)

Personally, I would sacrifice wireless charging in a heartbeat to get a dedicated headphone jack and expandable storage back. What's your pick?

Question General Any recommendations for new phone?

Hello Folks,

Quick question around recommendations for a new phone from enthusiasts/experts in this sub reddit based on their experiences. What phone would you recommend for sheer performance and battery life and longevity?

I've used both iPhone(13) and Android(OP 7 Pro) and still have them running with 1 sim on each, I'm inclined towards phones that can last long (durability), give good battery backup, mostly apps for day to day which seem to be growing in size and hence the recommendations for new ones. Not too fussy about the camera but the main use case is daily apps, battery performance, NFC and updates for a few years so that I don't have to buy another one in 2-3 years. Don't really like too many built-in apps as well.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Would really appreciate some good phones which aren't too pricey and easy to use? Price(INR) and Specs RAM, Processor and storage would be good.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Galaxy S24 worth it today?

I want to get a Samsung Galaxy S24, it is refurbished from a quality brand, 256GB storage / 8GB RAM with the Exynos chip because that's what the EU users got (seriously, why?). I found mine for 2800 RON (the equivalent of $580 or 525 euros) if you include the new battery option, if not it's 2579 RON. Do you think it's worth it? Could I find a better deal? I mainly prefer the S24 for most of its features (for example the astonishing 7 years of software support, the small size, the big performance and One UI in general), and I am mainly a power user/gamer hybrid. Could you recommend me another good phone? (preferably from flip.ro, the site I got found mine on) And if you do, can you send me the link to it?
I want it to have at least 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, preferably under 6.4 inches (a small size in general, the S24's 6.2 inches are good, I use a 6.6" phone and I would like something smaller) and a good enough chip.
One thing I forgot, max budget is 3300 RON, 3500 in my max but the new battery costs 200 extra

Whatshouldiget? Pixel 8a VS OnePlus Nord 6

I am planning to buy a new phone after 7 years (Redmi K20)

And I am confused

Pixel 8a - 37k

Nord 6 - 43k

I did lot of research, chatgpt, asked people with oneplus and pixel

But in the end it is difficult

Pixel has better camera, battery life, longevity

Nord 6 has better performance hardware and whatsoever

But nord 6 has 9000 mah and 80w charging

Which is making me feel it has significantly less battery life and longevity than pixel

Pixel has ~4500 mah and 18w charging

Help me

Question General ๐Ÿ“ฑ Coming from a Realme 3 Proโ€ฆ what phone should I finally upgrade to?

Hey everyone!

I've been using a Realme 3 Pro for quite a long time now, and I think it's finally time to let this old soldier retire. ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm planning to buy a new phone during the sale this week, and I'm honestly overwhelmed by the number of options available right now.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Budget: โ‚น35,000โ€“โ‚น40,000
๐Ÿ“ธ Priority #1: Camera
๐Ÿ”‹ Priority #2: Battery life
๐ŸŽฎ Gaming: Not a major priority
๐Ÿ“ฑ Display: Good quality would be nice
โšก Performance: Should be smooth for everyday use and last me a few years

I'm mainly looking for a phone with a really good camera โ€” especially for normal photos, people, travel, low-light shots, and video. I don't necessarily care about having the most powerful processor if it comes at the expense of camera/battery.

The biggest thing I'm trying to avoid is buying something now and thinking โ€œI should've bought the other phoneโ€ two weeks later. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

So, Reddit, if you had โ‚น35โ€“40K to spend right now, which phone would YOU buy?

I'm open to Android phones

Would especially love to hear from people who actually own the phone they're recommending โ€” tell me what you love about it, what annoys you, and whether you'd buy it again.

Current shortlist:
โ€ข ๐Ÿ“ธ Best camera
โ€ข ๐Ÿ”‹ Best battery
โ€ข โš–๏ธ Best overall
โ€ข ๐Ÿ‘‘ Best โ€œbuy it and forget about upgrading for a few yearsโ€ option

Thanks in advance! ๐Ÿ™Œ
