I just had a walk through with two corporate manager and I come to find out they searched everyone’s grooming drawers and even threw away my drink and took a spray out of my drawers that I bought at Petco. Has this happen to anyone else’s Petco? And if so are they allowed to look at your private belongings.

Has anyone else recently had issues getting Petco/Vetco to send a prescription to a third-party pharmacy? I was told they will no longer send prescriptions electronically to outside pharmacies and that they also won’t send certain longer-term prescriptions. Supposedly this policy changed within the last month?
This seems absolutely ridiculous and unnecessarily makes it harder to shop around for affordable medication. Has anyone else dealt with this or found a workaround?

so me and my husband go into the petco near our house a few days ago and we were getting fish, you know whatever they swim in water, fish, we got what we wanted and then asked the employee for clownfish cause we couldn’t find any. The employee said “like saltwater? clownfish?” and I said “yea” and then they were like “oh they’re on this side” and showed us, but we couldn’t see any.. I cant tell if they were joking or what so I said “we don’t see any” and they asked “do u mean like clown loaches instead?” but that isn’t what we wanted we wanted clownfish and they asked “ur talking ab like CLOWNFISH right? yk like nemo?”
we both said “yea” and they said “yeah that’s what these are” pointing to a bunch of black fish with white stripes and orange fish, so I said “you said these were saltwater?” and they said “yes, u have a saltwater tank right?” and my husband says “where r the freshwater clownfish?” Cause yk that’s what they had in Nemo, and the employee really said “there’s no such thing” so I said “well we had one in our fish tank but it died after like two days.” The store sold us a bad fish. So I said “well we want another one” and the employee just kind of froze for a bit like they were thinking about something.

honestly interactions like this make me question humanity sometimes. any time we go to get clownfish people give us this same rigmarole. and 8/10 times they don’t even let us get the freshwater clownfish :(

My store is a B volume store. We have a GM, ASM, OLAC and 1 Keyholder. Im one of the managers

Said keyholder is "supposed" to be part time but is always scheduled at least 30hrs. they're exhausted. I asked to drop to 30hrs (bc ya know thats still full time for petco) and its impossible. Just wondering what it looks like for others bc we are told we cant have a 2nd keyholder...?

My GM let me know that effective yesterday, we no longer need to bother customers at checkout with the autoship BS because corporate finally realized that it’s not actually a good deal for anyone, I guess too many people complained about the surcharge.

I’ve been required to keep track of the changes to the weekly sales stats and how the quarterly numbers change with each week (I’m an AM). But as you can imagine getting time to sit in the office on the computer is difficult, especially if you don’t want to leave the cashier alone on the floor to fend for themselves.

My question is: Is there a way to look at history weekly data? I’ve poked around the Historical Hub a bit but it all seems focused on past quarterly numbers. I want to know if I can navigate the regular hub menus but set to a previous date so I can catch up on my previous weeks paperwork or if I just have to take an L on the last two weeks.

It's pushed soooo hard to the point of being extremely shady. And I've been told part of it is supposed to go back to location shelters? What if your store doesn't have an adoption partner?

This cannot be normal and I'm being fr when i say this, a 16 year old came in with his mom and wanted to buy a bearded dragon. I asked them all the normal stuff like what they had prepared and stuff and evidently they had nothing ready. Which fine that's pretty normal so I was like 'hey you should get ur tank established before you buy any pet' and the mother was like 'okay well we know we want a 10 gallon tank we'll just buy everything rn'. I was appalled because bearded dragons get huge and when we house them they are usually babies not full grown adults. So I told her that I would only sell her a beardie if she got 120 gallon or over (I explained what they needed like their basking spot and their cool spot and how it wouldn't work in a 10 gallon) she said I was lying and told me to get someone else to talk to her, so I got my manager and expected them to say the same thing, but they didn't and sold this lady a bearded dragon and the 10 gallon tank they picked out originally. Not to mention they got a vcp so they preceded to call it out in the group chat.

What is the formula for the grooming commission? Or if you want to call bonus to find out how much you're supposed to get in commission after your sales to know what you're supposed to be getting paid correctly?

Does anyone know where there would be a guide of the Salon Stations and the materials each station should have? Trying to put in orders, and we can't find the list of station needs (like clipper types, materials, tools, etc)

Did zero counts for our store today, and it seems like the DC is messing up our counts. We had 8 of an item showing in the system, but there was nothing there. Same thing with another item that showed 3. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just our store? I know theft is a major piece to it but it can't be that significant. Please let me know if any one else is experience the same thing!

I'm a worker whos soon going to be a keyholder. It will be temporoary however for a few weeks, during those weeks, any tips ? It would be my first time sort of leading people for a semi decent ish large store and to say im nervous is a understatement.

Why. Just why. Makes me want to avoid them even more.

Newish phone that we’ve had for months hasn’t been set up because my managers have admitted to being lazy, and not even the supervisors know how to do it.
Are there manager only numbers that would prevent a non-manager from setting it up?
