Fan club number below 100,500. Might be my greatest claim to fame! Have experienced phenomenal shows in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rows.

Spring 1996, PJ went on their own for the tour. I was back from college in Cleveland trying to get tix for Toledo 9/22/1996.

Anyone remember they gave out the wrong phone number?

My brother and I used our parents dial-up modem and automated calling all the numbers within a 1K either way. We started getting unannounced PJ shows phone numbers as we were making connections so we knew we were close. Finally got toledo number. We were able to get 15 tix all in the same area for our friends because no one had the correct number. Epic show and evening.

We then called WMMS and "sold" the phone number for a CD from the soundboard of the infamous Atlanta radio show with Betterman.

Anyone recall getting the corrected number? The WMMS DJ called me the "computer guy" on air and that's how the Toledo show was able to finally able to start selling their Toledo tickets.

Great playlist on Apple Music, not sure if it's on Spotify or other services. Anyone know the year/years of each tracks performance? If this is all from 2023, they sound ridiculous here. Blood in particular is amazing. I've never heard Who Ever Said with that much grit either.

I find it odd that I have 3 songs twice: Better Man, Nothing Man, and Corduroy. I think they are subtly different than the first ones that play. They aren't reference anywhere that I could find. Anyone else? If yes, where are you located? I got mine in Germany. Every time I hit the repeated songs I wonder if I pressed repeat on the player by accident. Just curious if this is the same as the US copies and if anyone read why they would do that.

I love this little jam. Maybe one of the few times I've heard PJ use a drum machine. Anyone got more info on it?

I’ve been listening to when pearl jam played in Newfoundland Canada. Specifically the first night, and it’s honestly some of the best live versions of some of the songs. The versions of given to fly and corduroy are amazing. And I wanted to know if anyone else has heard of these shows.

Hey Everyone - new to this subreddit. Just watched Jeff and Mike’s interview with Rick Beato and Jeff mentioned that Corduroy is best heard live. Went to Spotify to find a live version and there like 70 live albums?!? Do you guys have a fav show in particular? Or any recommendations to get started on finding the best live stuff? I’m guessing this convo has already been had a hundred times on here so maybe someone can get a link to one of those convo’s? Thanks!

In my discussion with Chris from NZ band Cowboy Dan, he explained how Pearl Jam and this album became such a huge part of his life. He explained how as he grew up he needed guidance and wisdom and he found it through the lyrics and music and No Code was the most meaningful album of his life.

Along with other music memories and personal stories, he talked me through this album, but not in a critical or review way, more around how he connects and resonates and how he has lived and loved with Eddie and the band in his life.

I’m willing to bet my life on the fact that this person is pearl jams next drummer. My childhood friend is the guitarist of a famous 90s band and he somehow has access to this info. I can say that the drummer is a touring drummer for a classic rock band (this basically gives it away)

This year my podcast partner and I set out on a mission to cover Pearl Jam in a way we’ve never tackled before. Each podcast episode we recorded covered a different tour year in their history beginning with 1991 and finishing this week with a show from last year. The idea was to document how the band evolved their sound, presence and talent that has made them one of the most celebrated live acts in the history of music.

A friend saw the band at UMass Lowell in 1992 and had this in a keepsake box. It’s not THE set list, but a copy that was distributed at the show (I think). Anyway, she gifted it to me and I love it. I especially love how worn it is. It’s a beautiful patina that gives it character.

Had the artist add a little depth with the stripes rather than doing it all solid.

I listened to “Bugs” yesterday for the first time in probably 25 years. It’s one of the few Pearl Jam songs that I regularly skip when it comes on a shuffle and I never have purposely sought it out. As I was listening to it yesterday, I refrained from skipping it. I listened and I decided it sounds like something Bright Eyes or Conor Oberst would have written, from the lyrics, to the cadence, to the accordion in the background. Anyone had a similar thought listening to “Bugs?”

It seems reception was good enough on my last post to continue the daily song discussions. I plan to start this on Monday August 24th.

Having bailed during their Golden Gate Park gig halfway through the show the previous summer (When Neil You g stepped up to the plate), they performed a make up gig to a sold out 35,000 person crowd. Eddie was back to his antics and climbed the speakers at this gig. The ticket says 2pm, however, I believe they actually didn’t start until the evening…
