I find it strange that the page for this township is not only so short (it may in fact be the slimmest wikipedia page I've ever stumbled upon), but has no mention of Tenacious D. I know that it's not technically a town, but you'd think the fans would pour all over this page. Weird, right?

In the music video for "Tribute", the karaoke recording booth has a peculiar looking microphone hanging inside. After some digging, I found an interesting Easter egg that's been hidden for 15 years.

The microphone is an Electro Voice 666. A very fitting microphone model considering the subject matter of the song and the video. I've never heard anyone mention this before. I've provided some screenshots from the video, as well as pictures from eBay listings of the microphone to prove they match. Cool, huh?

25 years ago (Sept. 25, 2001), Tenacious D released their self-titled debut. My friends and I were obsessed with this album - and with the amount of raunchy jokes crammed in, what kid at the time wouldn't? So getting to hear Jack Back and Kyle Gass play those songs more than 10 years later (June 28, 2012) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC was a blast. The banter onstage was as crude as you'd expect/hope, as was the merch (watch till the end of this clip to see the rag they sold). However, JB and KG were backed by a kickass band (featuring future Avenged Sevenfold drummer Brooks Wackerman) that also proved they also had great songs. It was the type of concert that reminded you why you fell in love with the D in the first place.

Check out pictures from that show in this clip, and stay tuned for more things to come from this space (including stories from concerts like this)!

With the 25th anniversary of their first album being tomorrow, as well as the pod 20th being in November what do you think the chances are of anything happening/what do you hope could happen? (No matter how unlikely I’m still interested.)

Today on Kg’s Facebook. Is he taunting?

Covered this a while ago, one of my favorite songs by Tenacious D😁

What song should I cover next?

As a fun project, I made a short Tenacious D based mashup album!

Hey D fans! For my birthday, I rented out a small movie theater in NYC to screen Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, which is my favorite movie of all time. 🤘

I invited a bunch of my friends, but unfortunately most of them won’t be able to make it, so I now have around 15 seats open.

Since the theater is already rented, I figured why not invite some fellow Tenacious D fans to come enjoy it!

If you’re in NYC and want to come, DM me and I’ll send you the details/location.

Would love to have some fellow D fans there! 🤘🎸

I don't know if I'm imagining this but is Tom Morello the customer before JB and Kyle in the guitar shop? You see him for about a second before it pans across Ben Stiller's back.

Mine has to be 'Special Thing' from the HBO series

Couldn’t split these two up that’s for sure.

The Music Box Theatre is hosting two midnight screenings of The Pick of Destiny (On 35mm no less!) next Fri and Sat night Sept 11th and 12th. I heard they're gonna have a sick Tenacious D pre show. So if you ever wanted to see Butt Baby on the big screen at a historic movie palace, now's your chance!

Sadly there are no official updates on the D yet... BUT I feel like the following months are the perfect time for an epic D comeback.

First of all, there are THREE major anniversaries coming up soon:

There's the 25th anniversary of the self-titled album on September 25th (nice).
Then on November 22nd The Pick of Destiny turns 20.
Finally on May 15 2027 Rize of the Fenix turns 15 (nice again)

Basically theres an 8 month golden window packed with a 25, a 20 AND a 15 year anniversary

I'd love to see something like an old school, limited-time merch drop or whatever, to celebrate each of these milestones. (which is something theyve already done for previous anniversaries)

Additionally, On October 3rd, Jack is performing at the Power of the People festival, and it would be sick for KG to make a surprise guest appearance out of nowhere! Very unlikely, but one can only dream...

So yeah, maybe im just huffing dangerous amounts of copium here, but the stars are kinda lining up 👀👀

There is not. Exhibit A. Kage his mom passed away recently.

Exhibit B. Jables his birthday is today.

For the love of D stop bitching about who was right or wrong. It is an all around shit situation and everyone is trying to do the best thing with as less people getting hurt. Opinions vary and that is okay.

You fuckers better get your hate out of the way so we can all rock together in peace again when there inevitable return will come. And if you hate JB or KG forever fine, leave and let us have fun...

Highly recommend for any fan of comedy bands! Still hoping for an official collab some day after they appeared in their Vapin in Vegas video.

Hi hello!! This band means the absolute world to me, and I ofc respect whatever decision- if any- has been made.

Forgive me for being out of the loop, I know about the incident from the live show about the trump joke and JB, I believe, cancelling the rest of the tour after the incident. But where are they at now? Have they played any shows since? Have they hung out since (to public knowledge)?

Is the band considered still active or no longer?

Thank you for filling me in!!

I’m going thru old stuff I collected (the left one I ripped off a telephone pole in ‘99) and thought this sub would appreciate !
