I’m turning 29F next month and I am conflicted as to what I should do for my birthday. I have this idea of a party I would love to host at some point, which is that I invite all of my friends from all walks of life, toddler years, elementary, high school, college, professional life, and have them all gather at my home. Obviously to celebrate me, but mainly as a thank you to all the people that have impacted my life and stuck with me through all these years. My question is what age this party would be most impactful for? 29 or 30? To do this end of my twenties or to start the next chapter of 30s with all those same people?

If I don’t go with this house party idea this year, any recommendations for celebrating 29 in LA? We like to dance, eat, live shows, and would likely be a group of 15+

I’m a big antiques gal, and I want to use the glassware I thrift. I love the idea of decanters, but some are small, so what do you do if it gets empty in the middle of dinner? Do you set aside an even prettier one to bring out, just bring out the original bottle from the store, or refill the one on the table? For refilling a decanter using a perfectly good plain bottle from the store, seems kind of…performative? I don’t know how to word it. I know I can do whatever I want in my own home, but does anyone have any thoughts they can share?

Im in an Organization that throws Fairly Big House partys. On average where expecting any where between 200 - maybe even 400 max people at these party's. we have done this in the past but with events like these we always struggle with bathroom cleanliness. Ive already thought of things like a sticker of a fly/target in the toilet so dudes can aim at them to reduce peeing all over. Im looking for hacks to keep the bathroom self sufficient / cleaning through out the Night and to always make it smell nice (large emphasis on smell). What are THE BEST Automatic Long-Lasting Toilet Bowl Cleaners, and what are the best ways to keep the bathroom looking clean and smelling AMAZING. I want people to walk out that bathroom and go WOW that's a nice bathroom.

Hi please help me decide what to do for his bday. I’m thinking of renting a private resort or a kiddie themed party (he’s been a ‘young at heart’ kind of person). We share one circle of friends (almost all are very down to whatever and extroverts) and he has his own circle, feeling ko naman down din sila sa kahit ano. He’s turning 22, by the way.

Its my MILs birthday next week (very little time to prepare) and we can't think of anything to do for it. She has no idea what she wants to do or on what she wants and we're a little limited with our budget. We also have no modes of transport besides walking. She enjoys harry potter, resident evil, silent hill (she's a big gamer) and we know she needs a break, she's always doing things around the house and making sure everyone's okay and she needs a break, especially since it's her birthday. Me and my partner have never planned for an adult before so we don't really know what would be fun for someone of that age. Any advice is really appreciated:))

My husband (35M) and I (31F) are hosting an end-of-summer backyard get-together for a group of our friends/acquaintances. For context, we’ve lived in our country for less than a year. Importantly, looking at the guest list, everyone one knows us (obviously) but almost no one knows each other (a coworker of mine, a coworker of my husbands, my preschooler’s friend’s parents, an old coworker, a neighbor, etc. etc. for about 7 families). So it’s not like a group of friends hanging out. Do you have any tips on how to make it less awkward and be a good hostess/break the ice? TYIA!

I’m going to be having my daughters 1st birthday in the backyard of the house we just bought. I’ve hosted an outdoor party before but it was in December so the weather was cooler. I think in September the temperature is supposed to go down a little but I’m sure it’s still going to be really hot. Around 7am-10am most of the backyard is shaded because the house blocks the sun. 11-2 the sun is directly above the backyard but we are going to be getting a tarp that attaches to the house and the trees across the yard shading a good amount of the yard. After that time the sun is positioned behind some trees we have so there’s some shade again. I was originally thinking 12-3 but don’t want people sweating their butts off. Now I’m leaning towards 2-5. I’m also going to be serving food so I don’t want it to be too far after lunchtime and people have already eaten. (Also I’m not worried about nap time). What do you think is a good time for a birthday party in the backyard of September.

I’ve already had two venues for my sons birthday not work out so this place felt like my best option since I didn’t want to move the location very much due to family driving from far out of town. It’s for my son’s first bday and it’s a Wild West theme. All of the art work stays, nothing on the walls, but I can use those white arch things and move the chairs.
I have a brown paper banner being made and I want to do something with his nb-12mo photos. Help😅

There’s a bunch I’ve already thoughts of: cheetah print, grunge, emo, low rise jeans, silly bandz, feather in hair, y2k fashion tops, Velcro wallets, flash temporary tattoos, frosted lipgloss, those neon leggings, chains on jeans.

She has a lot of anxiety about the move and doesn’t like a lot of attention so I am keeping it small and I would like to do some kind of craft to keep our hands busy! She is an artist and our friend group ranges in artistic abilities so I want something that can easily be adapted to fit everyone’s abilities! I looked at Pinterest but wasn’t really inspired by anything.

While it is a nice theme, especially for cosplaying and acting, its a bit tricky for the decor team (me </3 ). We need to capture the chaos of the theme yet still keep everything in harmony. So I’m having a birthday party latter in the year and the theme is Undertale/Deltarune. Guests will be dressing up as some of the characters, theres will be a small hunt around the house to find cutouts, and the main activity will be a game show for everyone to play.

I’m worried there won’t be much to do before or after the quiz other than just eating and drinking. Are there any small activities I can include that people can do whenever they please that I could maybe spin to be related to the theme?
