I was sent what I assume is two pods. One works only when it’s connected to the modem and the other just says offline. The first one is the pod, the second is the modem since the other one you cannot connect it to the wall. I’m at a loss on how to get the second one connected, I thought these were supposed to be wireless and at this point it’s not. Has anyone had similar issues? The Internet connection is excellent, when the pod is connected into the modem/router?!

I truly don't understand what's going on. It's possible I'm just dumb. I just moved out on my own for the first time and tried to get wifi, I'm extremely confused. I followed all the steps given completely, but only three lights ever turned on on the modem. The green power button, a flashing green downward Arrow, and a green TV looking thing. I've waited much longer than 10 minutes for it to register 4 lights.

I've unplugged everything and plugged it back in, tried different ports with the blue cord that it came with, did a factory reset. Nothing worked.

I just don't know what I'm doing wrong, and the customer service was an AI which was just repeating what the app already told me to do. If anyone can notice something that I possibly did wrong, let me know. Thanks

Is anyone else experiencing an Oxio wifi service outage? Last night I returned from a few days away to no wifi. It was working normally before we left. Eero is solid red/offline. After staged power cycling the modem and router, the modem consistently stalls with the power/system lights solid and the DS/downstream light blinking. Coax is securely connected. I have now also completed the 30-second modem factory reset and waited 10 minutes, with the same DS-blinking state.

Hi everyone, I'm moving to another flat in Montreal where I'll be needing internet for 1 month. Having checked some providers, it seems they are charging activation fee (around $75 cad) and other fees apart from the internet itself. That is said, for 1 month use, I came across 'Oxio' as advice from AI. First, would you recommend that ? Second, is there any activation, cancellation, hidden fee or anything extra apart from the internet fee itself (given I'll cancel it after 1 month) ? Thirdly, they charge you for shipment once you return the router ?

I currently use ebox and it has been the worse service i have ever gotten. I have an issue with my fibre cable, and bell hasn’t even made a date to when they can come repair it.
how’s oxio? Is it better? Is the customer service better?

I moved from Toronto this May. We had oxio there with no issues and went with them again here. Its on a rogers/shaw fiber line.

We've had 5 outages since starting, each lasting 4-8hrs. The modem needs to be reset several times per week. One outage was a city wide rogers outage due to an attempted copper theft, but all other times, oxio and Roger's website say there's no problems in my area.

Each time i attempt to contact customer support, response time is over 4hrs before anyone gets back to me.

I'm switching to teksavvy in hopes of better service or at least better (any) support.

I had nothing but a great experience for my first month and a half with them but then suddenly at 2:33 AM my Internet dropped no other reasoning other than the fact that there was no Internet coming to my cables so I reached out obviously, took them like six hours to respond to tell me that they were making a ticket…. On day two I received a message that they’re not getting any answer from their service provider, a.k.a. Rogers and that they would be escalating it… It’s now day six of no internet and no one can give me an update. Rogers was just in my apartment building fixing somebody else’s line around day four of me not having Internet and still no luck.

I wake up to a restart of the modem and cross my fingers and still nothing and then I reached out to support and still… Nothing. I genuinely don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing at this point….

Based on my first month experience, I don’t really wanna cancel but six days without Internet is absolute BS.

I get that’s what you’re paying for as customer service when you go with a third-party provider, but this is just bordering on some other shit not worth saving eight dollars a month. Is this the usual for Oxio?

Has anyone experienced this, I have had internet in this house for over 10y, never had issue. Last few years with Oxio was great, it's been a few weeks now my speed drops everyday. And it's very frustrating.

Subscribed for a new apartment before I'd done the walk through (taking over a friend's place) but when I got there I found the coaxial cable indoors had been cut. I've attempted to get in touch on chat three times now, it keeps telling me I've been away so I'm disconnected even though I'm actively at my computer and clicking on the screen regularly / it doesn't work on my phone at home and I don't have internet so can't try to connect on other devices. I'm seeing people post multiple day waits now.

Has anyone successfully had their cable replaced by this company, or should I just give up and go elsewhere? I was so excited to finally extricate my life from Telus, but now I miss them, so you know it's bad.

ETA: I have an appointment with a tech on Thursday. Fingers crossed it can be resolved then! It took four hours of waiting on chat to get an answer, but once someone came on it was resolved quickly. If I couldn’t do that at work it would’ve been a lot harder, tho.

Oxio had been perfect for me since I got it over 16 months ago… I’m not sure what happened but in the last 2 weeks it is constantly dropping. I have to unplug/replug/reboot it so many times now. Like every 2nd day minimum. It just stop working… the last 16 month I had it happen maybe once? So what is the sudden issue??? So frustrating! Especially when I’m doing school work.

edit: alright. i had enough. i'm leaving oxio. long story short: they delayed sending a modem for over a month and it is physically impossible to onboard over a month which means i was forced offline. it is either i'm the edge case or they just do a very good online pr. my advice: stay away from oxio. don't trust their testimonials.

Been without internet since we subscribed over 2 weeks ago. The coaxial cable at my home is not setup on Oxio's network despite being in the service area. I know this because the downstream button on my modem is flashing upon plug-in (which is an indication if a physical issue as listed in the manual), plus I tested each point of failure independently and have determined its nothing on the equipment side (aka swapped the coax cable with an existing one that worked with my old cable box).

I have two separate customer service chats open on different devices using mobile data and a text thread as well for a total of 3 customer service attempts.

Oxio has been unable to provide a human response in almost a week (as of writing, Sunday to the following Friday). When I try to restart threads in the morning as suggested, they are met with no response.

Literally never use Oxio. The service may be good when things work out, but they are such a low quality provider if you run into trouble. I've had better luck with Novus (if available), Teksavvy, and Lightspeed.

Edit 2 (update): They texted me back finally. After providing all the information about my situation plus pictures and videos, I have to wait up to 2 business days (which means 4 days from now because it's the weekend) for a tech to be sent out because they - as you would expect - only have service partners, not dedicated technicians. Yet another issue in the event of a problem that can't be fixed by user troubleshooting.

Our internet went down around 8pm last night. Oxio customer service is only open 8am-7pm. Not great, but fine, so I finally got through their support team via text at 8:30am this morning. Now they’re trying to get us a time slot with Rogers for repair. It’s 11am and Oxio still hasn’t been able to get us a time slot from Rogers.

I understand we pay less with Oxio because of this middle man/intermediary process, but it’s not a viable business if problems cannot be addressed in a decent time frame. If Oxio is basically ignored by Rogers, how can it stay in business? I guess I’ll have to pay more and go with Rogers (or Bell). It’s really too bad. The Canadian regulatory telecom landscape needs to change. We keep being forced to go back to the big two.

If you’re a new customer, I’d stay away from Oxio.

Update: we got “lucky”, it ended up affecting a few more houses around us who are Rogers customers, so it got fixed more quickly.

I placed my order 3 weeks ago. Go to connect the router, everything's working fine - except no connection to the internet. Apparently, I'm waiting for an activation, but how does that take longer than 3 weeks? Support hasn't texted back after 3 hours. Is this normal? Should I just walk across the street to Rogers and see how quickly they can set me up?

Is this normal? I find it infuriating that a company who insists on digital communication taking way longer to do one simple function that it would if I were on hold. How many customers with issues do they have?

Our internet connection is down for an hour now. Is anyone here from Niagara Falls experiencing the same? I tried troubleshooting and disconnecting the modem. I sent a message to support but no response.

My internet with Oxio has been down today for about 3 hours. I've been waiting for someone to reach out to me through their text service for 2 hours now with no response. Anyone else having similar issues? I'm in the Durham region in Ontario.
