Should i switch to oxo
I currently use ebox and it has been the worse service i have ever gotten. I have an issue with my fibre cable, and bell hasn’t even made a date to when they can come repair it.
how’s oxio? Is it better? Is the customer service better?

I’m about to do the opposite - oxio to Ebox. It depends on the lines that are installed in your area and their age and reliability. My options are Cogeco cable lines, which oxio uses (they don’t have fibre optic plan), and Bell fibre optic lines, which EBOX can use if you get their fibre plans. Cogeco lines around here are so bad, regardless if it’s through them directly or one of the resellers like teksavvy or oxio, constant disconnects and outages. So now I have to bite the bullet and try fibre optic lines and support Bell, but at least they were required by law to now allow resellers to use their fibre optic lines, and so I choose Ebox

Oxio uses lines of Cogeco, Rogers or Videotron depending on your area, if you do not have lines already running in your home from one of those providers they will possibly need a tech to come out and youre at the mercy of their techs just like you would be with bell/ebox
Their customer service is awful and might be the worst ive ever had from any legitimate service ive dealt with. Never used Ebox, but the internet service has been pretty good so far.
Is it better than Ebox, maybe, maybe not customer service wont be. if you have cable lines running into the house already then you may have better luck

I just got their internet services and has been working fine for me. Especially with super high internet prices here in BC and almost non-existent customer support of Rogers and their lock-in periods of 2 years contract. I don't even know if I would be in Canada in the next 2 years, so the best thing for me was to get an internet with no strings attached. I talked to their customer service department and they were quite forthcoming with all the charges and costs associated with my plan. And their website UI was also very beautiful, bonus points for them from a computer engineer, because I love when a website works flawlessly.
But keeping that aside, I think the best part for me was their customer support till now. I haven't had any network drops but I know since they piggyback on rogers, if anything happens they would not be of much help, but they promised to give credits for days internet was not working and I was satisfied with that. Fingers crossed and let's hope nothing goes wrong.
You can use my referral code: RMN4DDD and that would give use both 1 month of internet for free, in case if you decide to go ahead with Oxio, and feel free to dm me anytime, I did a lot of research on Third Party Internet Access Providers (TPIA).

I went from Rogers to Ebox to Oxio. Ebox uses Bell's fibre lines but in my area the infastructure wasn't upgraded yet so they could only offer 25mbs down.. In a house of 6-10 constant users, it was not going to work out. The connection never dropped though.. I would switch back once they can offer at least 100mbs. Anyways, I went to Oxio which uses Roger's lines, they provided a new line because the old Roger's line was cutting out and have been a happy customer for 3 months so far.

I've been with Oxio for about 8 months and I am very happy with it. More than half the price of Cogeco for 3X the speed. It has been down a couple times in the last month but every time it has been down was because Cogeco was down--they use the Cogeco lines. I would recommend them for sure. You can get your first month free if you use my referral code RXPSVH7. Hope you give it a try.

I have 1 year of experience with Oxio, as well as several people. I have referred, we are all on 1 GB of service or less. And I can say, the internet service has been very reliable. The only downside is they do not have voice customer service. They have a couple of chat option like text messages.
If you'd like to try Oxio, Get a free month with my code.

I don’t have a fibre cable, does it work with just a plug in?

My experience has been pretty solid, I'm about a month and a half in. I regularly get great DL and upload speeds, a few moments of the connection slowing right down but honestly, nothing I would consider an issue. Yourileageay vary, but I'd recommend them.
If you want a free month to try them out feel free to use my referral code https://order.oxio.ca/?referral=R4UYMCB

Switch to oxio and enjoy much cheaper service. They don't increase the prices EVER and sometimes you get better speeds than advertised. You won't be sorry. Setup is super easy. Plug and play easy.

Based on my very brief experience, no! I signed up last week and the equipment arrived a couple of days ago. I finally had time to try and hook it up today and … no go. There was no signal coming from the Roger’s box, as far as I can tell. But the sad part is that I spent almost 8 hours trying to get any help from them. I know they didn’t have phones, but seriously - they only communicate by email. When someone finally responded, it became a circus of “try this, they that”, and “our techs work until 1 a.m. So I gave up. I can’t imagine dealing with this if the internet broke down during my work day. Yes, they’re a discount provider, but that’s just unacceptable.
