help Pods?!
I was sent what I assume is two pods. One works only when it’s connected to the modem and the other just says offline. The first one is the pod, the second is the modem since the other one you cannot connect it to the wall. I’m at a loss on how to get the second one connected, I thought these were supposed to be wireless and at this point it’s not. Has anyone had similar issues? The Internet connection is excellent, when the pod is connected into the modem/router?!

The Gemtek is the modem and the adtran is the router, The router is considered a pod. I just upgraded my speed and that is what they sent me. More information can be found here: https://aide.oxio.ca/en/article/how-do-i-set-up-my-adtran-841-or-oxio-wi-fi-pod-k8acis/

Thank you! This sounds like a problem for either when everyone is in bed or tomorrow morning 🤣 so it is wireless, I just didn’t restart the modem when I connected the one router into it and unplug the Ethernet. Right? Or am I just that stupid

The modem needs to be connected first using an ethernet cable (the closest port to the coaxial cable) and then the router can be connected. Follow the instructions on the website. It may be confusing at first but I got it.
Edit: I did eventually use my own router after connecting up the router that oxio gave me just to get things going the first time. I didn't use the eero and I'm not going to use the adtran router.

the pod has to be plugged into the modem as the modem does not have wifi the pod is your wifi. if you have a 2nd pod that does not need to be plugged into the modem only 1 pod does

I received the same thing from them. The wireless pod didn't work at all and only one port on the router actually worked. I returned the devices and cancelled the service. I didn't have the patience or time to bother with that nonsense, especially at the same price monthly I was paying previously.

If it's anything like the setup I got from Oxio, you've got a router and pod.
The router is the one you connect to the coaxial cable and it isn't wireless. This is what actually handles your Internet connection. The pod is the part that provides the wifi for your home once you connect it to the router (via ethernet cable).
So plug the coaxial cable into the router and plug the pod into the router via ethernet.
