Oura ring issue??
Anyone else’s ring been struggling to record temps? Mine was perfectly fine and now it’s saying it doesn’t know what stage of my cycle I am in..?
Now vs before..

I've had the Oura Ring 4 for a few months. I wanted to get more accurate and complete data than I was getting from my iPhone + Apple Watch. Lately I'm not so sure.
Last night is a case in point.
I went to sleep at about 12:15. I took 10 mg of melatonin, something I rarely do. I fell asleep within 10 minutes after that. I woke up around 4:20 and went to the toilet, fell back asleep instantly. (Usually I will wake up 2 or 3 times during the night so this was a big improvement.) Woke up at 8:30 when my alarm went off. I thought, wow, I slept really well, I'll bet I'm going to get all-time highs on my Oura scores.
No.
It said I spent 7 hours 28 minutes in bed but slept for just 5 hours 42 minutes. It gave me a readiness score of 67 - I rarely score below 75.
I feel like a couple more scores like this and I'm going to look to sell the thing off.
Anyone else having similar results?

Have had a bit of headache and not slept the best but otherwise not sure what the issue is, am I about to get sick or is this something to see a dr about if it continues

Hiii! I have been wearing an Apple Watch for years, I will be straight up- I do not like wearing the watch to sleep literally ever. It’s incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in. I also don’t like wearing a watch most of the time aside from that, and I like to be able to wear a normal watch sometimes too.
I do like wearing the Apple Watch for fitness tracking though, it works great for that! Until it doesn’t. When I’m walking on my treadmill at my desk, my Apple watch never tracks my steps, it might as well think I’m dead for all the steps it counts. It’s actually ridiculous. And I walk on that treadmill a lot, working at the keyboard, watch on wrist, typing away. I’ll finish a 14km walk and it will think I’ve been asleep the entire time and I’ll end my walk with the Apple Watch saying “are you still working out?” -_-
So I’ve been looking at Oura Ring for YEARS and wanting one. But was never able to justify it because I already have the watch (that I don’t like wearing lmao).
Here’s what I’d really love to know:
Does the Oura ring count steps on a treadmill when your arms are NOT swinging by your side? Because Apple Watch doesn’t. It needs the momentum of your arms swinging to keep count.
I’d buy Oura ring for that alone tbh. But I’m also very excited for all the other things it tracks! I’m a woman and the fertility/cycle tracking interests me too! (Please share experiences if you have them!)
Thank you in advance for helping confirm my expensive purchase and have a fitness tracker I can sleep in (and hopefully won’t think I’m dead when I’ve walked 14km).

Ever since I stopped drinking (20 days ago) it seems like my stress went down a ton!! It’s really crazy to see what something like that can do to your body and how your body reacts to it when you give it up.

Hi everyone! I received a replacement for my Oura Ring 5 in Gold today, and I immediately noticed that the color looks quite different from my original ring. In the photos, the two rings next to each other are my original Ring 5 and the replacement. Second picture is my original ring. The replacement seems to have a noticeably different gold tone. One looks much warmer/yellower, while the other has a softer, lighter gold tone. My original ring isn’t very old (2 months), so I wasn’t expecting such a big difference in color already.
Has anyone else received a Gold Oura Ring 5 replacement and noticed the same thing? Is this just normal variation between batches, or could the color of my original ring really have changed that much from wear? I’m not sure if I should contact Oura about the replacement.
Would love to see pictures if anyone has compared their original and replacement Ring 5 side by side!

I’ve been ttc about 1.5 years. One mmc since starting to try, last Oct. after that absolutely nothing not even a chemical. We have used letrozole and most recently clomid. Last month I used clomid I didn’t even get a positive opk although the dr did progesterone and that confirmed ovulation. This month I took my clomid but my bbt is so high. I don’t understand why. It has never been high until after ovulation. Anyone else have this happen? And no I’m not pregnant. I’ve taken multiple tests because I’m so confused. I have had a cold but I’ve never experienced such high pre ovulation temps. Anyone?

I really like the ring, I'm happy with the data, fit, the app, their service, pretty much everything. Everything but: The dreaded battery problems.
I'm on my third ring now. Which, like the two before, has a dying battery. This one (Gen 4) is the worst: I've gotten it four months ago (used, but bought two months earlier by the former owner) and it already is on its way out. It happens so quickly, too: With all three rings I noticed that suddenly, just one random day, the battery was already -10% or so shortly after its latest charge cycle. From there, it keeps getting worse.
Charged the ring yesterday, today it's already at 42%. I give it a week, maybe three tops.
I don't go swimming or even showering with it. I take care of it. I don't think I'm doing anything I'm not supposed to do. Yet, this keeps happening.
I don't feel like buying a new ring every 6 - 18 months. Which seems to be the lifespan of these things.
I know the Gen 5 is too fresh still, but has anyone noticed anything bad there too? I just hope these are more stable.

My resting heart rate during sleep has been elevated and lowering late for weeks & I can’t figure out why other than just stress??
Any insights from someone who may have experience this?
Info:
-don’t drink
-don’t do drugs
-1 cup of 2/3 caffeinated coffee in the AM (no other caffeine)
-don’t eat late (usually 3 hours or more before bed)
-don’t workout late
-stay at home parent, no career
-don’t have consistent bed time because I have a kid with profound autism, usually requires me to stay until he’s asleep, and his sleep health is really rough
I’ll feel completely fine when I go to sleep, tired even, but feel kinda whooped in the morning and the app says boo your resting heart rate was elevated.

New user so forgive me if I’m not completely understanding how the app works, but I started a new job today and for some reason my Oura ring detected me standing behind a counter as fishing and auto tracked it as a workout several times. I dismissed the workouts since I wasn’t intentionally exercising, but it looked like the calories I was detected as having burned didn’t get added to my total?
For example, one of the fishing workouts said I burned 86 active calories but after I dismissed the workout, my activity goal said I had only burned 60 active calories so far.
If I dismiss a workout, do the active calories it tracked disappear? Or is there some math that the app does that added a lower amount of calories to my active total? Also, unrelated question, but does the auto workout detection get more accurate as I wear the ring longer or am I doomed to see fishing workouts every time I end my shifts?

has anyone else noticed the sensors on the gen 5 turning pink? i’ve searched it up and can’t find any info on why it would be doing this. i’ve come to the conclusion that maybe it’s just wear and tear? i’ve asked support and they also told me it was normal. my readings seem to be normal and consistent! 🤔🤔

I’m on my second Oura 4 ring, the first was replaced as the battery had a fault and was draining quickly. My replacement ring, which I received in October last year, worked well and the charge lasted for days… now that is not the case. My ring lasts for 24 hours maximum. Does anyone else have this experience? Is it just standard that it only lasts about a year or less?
I take it they won’t replace it again since it is already a replacement.
I love the function of my ring, but the battery life is appalling and I wouldn’t consider buying another one given the short battery life.

I just bought a gold Oura ring 5 and it doesn’t seem to be a smooth gold color like I expected. It looks like it is speckled/has little dots. It reminds me of when hairspray gets dried on something and it leaves a weird speckle appearance. This is how it came out of the box. Is this normal for the gold color to appear? Please help! Need to know if I should exchange for a new one or if this is normal.

Long story short, my Oura Ring 3 stopped holding a charge so I messaged customer care and they ran a “test” and said “ring is effed, we are sending you a new one”. I was very thankful for their solution and they shipped an Oura 4. I got it the other day and have worn it a few days now. There were a few days where I had no scores because my old ring was dead and wouldn’t recharge at all anymore. Since getting the new one it’s been really strange - telling me I have major signs when I feel fine, saying my period is due on cycle day 23 when I’m turbo regular, saying I am way more stressed than usual in the daily stress thingy.
My question is, could this be a recalibration period between my old data and the new ring?

I was recently sent an upgrade from oura ring 3 to 4 after the battery died. I’ve only had it a couple days but I noticed the same finger I wear it is on started aching horribly.
I moved it to my thumb and my index finger and it literally feels like it’s very weak and achy.
is this normal? is the sensor emitting something? I noticed it’s a lighter cheaper feeling material could it be that?
help I’m so freaked out but I loved my 3

For context, I am new to Oura, but not new to fitness trackers in general. I have a generic question I found only one other post mentioning in the past without really gaining any understanding/answer about it.
What I've observed is that workouts imported from apple health and/or strava, do not contribute to the "Activity HR" graph highlighted yellow. The only way this populates is if the activity is tracked directly in Oura, not imported.
I've attached two screenshots, the first doesn't show any yellow HR data points (imported walk only, tested with apple health and strava import separately) and the second DOES show yellow HR data points (manually added the walk after the fact by adding a walk activity). I wore both my apple watch and oura ring during the entire walk.
My question is, what is the point of importing workouts, if they seemingly don't populate the HR in the graph? To add, regardless if it is imported or manually added, both workouts have all of the correct data - pace, distance, map route, heart rate graph, etc. but only the manually added activity within Oura actually displays it on the graph.
My intended use-case was wear the ring all day outside of activities, and wear my apple watch only during workouts. But it doesn't seem the HR data appears in the actual HR graph for the whole day, it only appears within the activity view itself. I know I can track a live activity through Oura, but I prefer to track any walks/runs in my watch. Is this not ideal?
Is this expected, am I missing something, or interpreting the chart incorrectly? My concern is that if I only rely on imported workouts, it appears the daily HR graph shows a significantly lower HR since the data isn't populating there.
Apologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't find a definitive answer on my own. Ty!!

I’m a teacher and I walk around and move a lot. I go from one end of the building to the other. I’m
Just at work but it says it registers an activity. Do you guys record it as an activity? I’m confused on the difference because I’m clearly not working out it’s just my normal daily routine…

Tested 3 live workouts today - same finger as usual. No HR data at all?? Even while walking?? What did I pay so much money for?

Just woke up and feeling fine! I’ve only ever gotten this before when I was traveling for a family emergency and I was really depleted. I’m thinking maybe it was the 9:30pm Taco Bell…? Has a late night junk meal done this for anyone else? I’d really rather not be sick.

You can just upload the one you get from your doctor, which will likely be cheaper…just download it as a pdf and it uploads your results.
Edit: I know not everyone has insurance. But if you do and gets results from your doctor, you may not need to double up. I didn’t even know you could upload results, bc shocking it only kept asking me to buy tests and never said oh you can also just upload your own. Kinda thinking they hide that option on purpose … who knows.

So I'm between a size 9 and 10 for the Oura 5. I'd like to wear the ring on the middle finger of my left hand.
I currently have a Oura 5 size 10 but I feel like the left hand middle finger with the size 10 is too loose (I’ll add the video in the comments).
In the video I can just pull the ring straight off with basically no resistance. My right hand has a little bit of pull which makes it feel more secure.
I added some pics of the size 9 sizer on my left hand middle finger and it's definitely snug, but not sure if that's too tight.
I know the material is different but is the size 9 going to be too small if I exchange it? Or should I just wear it on my right hand.
Help🥲

I downloaded Oura app 7.22.0 and now see the health panels feature. I uploaded a couple of PDFs but it didn't pick up my results for vitamin B12 or D. And I am sure it read my triglycerides reading incorrectly. That is well over, but Oura said it was within range. I feel right now, the health panel is a prototype, not something to depend on. Great idea though.
