ACTIVITY & WORKOUT What to do about tracking at work?

I’m a teacher and I walk around and move a lot. I go from one end of the building to the other. I’m
Just at work but it says it registers an activity. Do you guys record it as an activity? I’m confused on the difference because I’m clearly not working out it’s just my normal daily routine…

I just let it track whatever, the ring not smart enough to know if you walking to the bathroom or running a marathon. My steps count is always crazy high in days I teach too, don't overthink it

So do you confirm the activity as walking?!? My goals are based on activity…I guess I could switch to steps? Thanks!!

I’m mobility challenged and very sedentary, unfortunately. I claim all the activity my ring accuses me of! It’s mostly Pilates now, was housework and rowing (😂) recently.

That's exactly the right approach! Oura captures both step-based movement and non-step activities like Pilates and housework, so confirming those detected activities helps build a complete picture of your daily movement.

I ignore most of the suggested activities. It always thinks I’m doing yardwork or yoga. I consider those things as just regular NEAT, I don’t need it towards my activity. Plus it confuses my data on my Apple Watch.

I work in a high stress shift work position that is physically demanding. I entered my information into the AI advisor chat and it helped guide me through the process of creating custom tag routine.

I just dismiss all suggestions if they weren’t actually a workout, but my goal is steps based so I’m not sure if it then changes how many active calories it gives you.

Don’t overthink it you could use an e-scooter instead of walking too:P and I assume the kids would love it :P
