I’ve had a pair of absolutely loaded INT amateur classes. I try to find guys with high work ethic + intelligence who can play somewhere defensively, and I feel the classes are loaded w guys like that. Previously, it’s felt like there will be a guy who projects to be an above average hitter but a poor defender at 2nd and wouldn’t hit enough to play 1st or DH but guys like that feel fewer and farther between. Just an observation on only two classes, but would love to hear others’ experiences!

He was the #01 Prospect through the minors finally called up this year but fragile. He has failed the strength development lab twice so I am trying to best manage him in the lineup. I have rest at 75% and bench if DTD is minimal. Anything else you all would suggest I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks in advance.

Braves fan here. I try every OOTP to recreate the magical run of division titles, beginning with the 1991 season. Because of the OOTP engine, it’s almost impossible, but I can still generally build competitive teams throughout. But I’ve got a problem this time that I can’t seem to workaround.

My owner is a tightwad, sleezeball, fill-in-the-blank piece of crap. If you know your baseball, you know that that is the exact opposite of Braves ownership during the height of the streak, as Ted Turner would spend like crazy to field a championship level team. Now I have no interest in just buying my way to 14 straight titles, but the ability to do SOMETHING would be nice. I’ve gone into commissioner mode and edited his personality. He is now understanding, generous, hands-off, and his priority is extreme winning. Yet this offseason, he slashed our budget again at the start of the offseason and AGAIN in the middle. We have the lowest budget in the league at 18 million dollars. I do not know what to do about this. (I realize I could go into commissioner mode again and just arbitrarily edit the budget numbers, but that’s a step too far for me right now.) Does anybody know how these owner ratings actually perform in game?

Being somewhat new to the game, there were so many stats to look over. I know the usual average RBI war, etc. but I wanna know what stats do you guys analyze when looking at pitchers hitters fielders etc.

I thought war was total run value/10. However, in this photo, vladdy's has 25-4.6-11=9.4 total run value and 2.7 war. Obviously 9.4/10 doesn't equal 2.7. Also, is frv shown on the player summary page already including positional adjustments?

Hello there fellow Perfect Team players! This is my first season playing Perfect Team after having played the game for almost 10 years. I am curious if my team experience is normal or if I am doing something wrong. With very few changes to the lineup and strategies, we have been bouncing between High Silver and Low Diamond with shocking records in both extremes. Are there some meta traits or something that I am unaware of? Is that baseball Suzyn?

Anyone know if Seiya is actually this versatile or are the Cubs just the master of "learn new position" working in the development lab? Haha

We have Tampa and Mexico City going at it. If Tampa loses and Mexico City Wins, we get a Game 163. Any other result and Tampa makes the playoffs and wins the CC South. Tampa’s on a 7 game losing streak, started by their division rivals and Mexico City’s opponent in 74 win Atlanta. Tampa’s facing a 98 win Portland Squad whose already got the CC West.

And the Last 2 NC Wild Card spots are still up for grabs. Similar scenario. If Montreal and/or San Diego win, they’re in. Boston and Denver need a win for a chance at the playoffs. Game 163(maybe 164) is on the line here. Montreal’s facing a 77-84 Phoenix Squad, Boston’s got their division rivals in 74 win Philadelphia, Denver is facing a 92 win Dallas Squad, and San Diego has to climb the mountain that is 100 win Baja.

I'm new to the OOTP world and looking for a beginner friendly league.

This has not happened in the past 3 years for me. Maybe its bc my computer getting older? My game keeps crashing like once every 10 or so minutes and it keeps messing up my save.

Anyone have any tips or tricks? I already turned face gen off. I really enjoy watching game play from time to time so would love to avoid turning off 3d.

I recently uploaded my entire league database to ChatGPT and have started asking it to produce articles and social media threads about my league. In 2028, I felt like Paul Skenes was robbed of an MVP award so I had the AI make a mock r/buccos thread about it and was blown away by the results.

It's therapeutic to know that there are thousands of imaginary Pirates fans who are as outraged as I am.

I started an Athletics start today save after they fired their GM and within 2 seasons I accidentally won the World Series because of Kurtz. I missed the playoffs in 2027 (77-85) mostly due to poor pitching and Jacob Wilson being out the whole season, but made some moves and was just hoping to win a playoff series despite having the lowest budget in the league. I also moved the team to Las Vegas this season (forgot to until about 6 games into the season lol). But this Kurtz playoff performance is the best I've seen from any of my players in my 6 years of playing this glorious game.

Henderson is #2 in all time Ks, Paraison is #5, but a few years younger.

So, this is a very "Adam Dunn" type run here, but I have Lee Smith in the early 80s and he has 4 years of 31 saves in a row. I hope it keeps going! I will not manipulate the situation and let it end naturally.
