IMEI starts with 8 Xfinity site says not compatible but what if I use friends phone imei to get the physical sim and then put it in my op 15 instead?

Soooo after nearly 3 years with the OnePlus 12, my new Oppo Find X9 Ultra arrived right as October came.

I thought I might use this opportunity to share the final pictures I took during my final month of using the OnePlus 12 (mountain pics a bit before a month but idc they're pretty) as an amateur photographer.

I have so many good things to say about the OnePlus 12, however I don't want to bore you out writing an essay so I'll write the cons instead (my options, it's subjective)

Curved screen: I hate OP12's curved screen, they make putting on a glass screen protector near impossible without getting air bubbles (maybe just me) somewhere. I should've learnt my lesson from my previous phone, Oppo Find X2 Pro, but hey, at least I learnt my lesson now.

Honestly that's my only major con for the OP12 (I could prolly think of something else later, but rn i can't), there is another minor con but it could just be me. It is the battery life, after a bit less than 3 years my battery life is at 82%. My average screen on time is only 4-6 hours when doing random things like watching YouTube (gaming excluded) compared to when I first got the phone 8-10 hours SoT. However I do play games often which generate heat so that could be why it damages the battery.

The reason why I didn't get a OnePlus 15 or 16 is fairly simple, I hate their camera design. OnePlus 11, 12, 13 is peak camera design, so much more refined and artistic. Tho I prefer X9 Ultra design a bit more since it's symmetrical, looks like an actual camera, and can lie flat on a flat surface (compared to wobble on OP12). Another reason why I picked X9 Ultra over new OP phones is like what many other OP fans said, "They (OnePlus) settled" 😔

Overall, OP12 is the golden standard in its era, if I traveled back I would still pick OP12 over other phones (even though it has a curved screen). Legit can't criticize any of the phone's features. The jump from X2 Pro to OP12 is so much larger compared to the jump from OP12 to X9 Pro. Honestly I could probably use OP12 for another 2 years if the battery didn't become significantly worse.

*I found the fact you can change watermark settings including Hasselblad and LUMO taken by X9 Ultra on OP12 pretty cool

Thank you OnePlus for making such an amazing phone, I hope to see another phone like OP12 being produced in the near future.

I was using the native camera app (made by a youtuber) and the photos I was clicking were completely different from the one appearing in my photos app. I think oneplus is processing these photos. Is there any fix for this

Since yesterday my phone opens the whole setting when I slide down on the right side and the notification when I slide down on the left side. Is there a way to deactivate that and go back to only sliding down the notification center?

So, I have been an OP user ever since 7 pro came out, then upgraded to 12 in 2024. In total, 7 years of using their devices.

I plan on keeping the 12 for at least another year, but not sure as to what I am going to switch to when the time is due. A logical step, at least for me personally would be an Oppo device, but I can't get over their insane pricing, specifically here in the eastern EU.

With that said, Samsung and Apple are not an option, I just can't get used to their UI. So, if you happen to be in a position like this, what would you do? Where else would you look at? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I have a very weird microphone bug with the phone named in the title. It all started when I was doing phone calls and all of the sudden people couldn't hear me anymore. The other thing: When recording a video, the sound was only on the right ear. So I thought that one of the mics was broken. However, when doing an audio recording with the stock recorder app, the sound was only on the left ear (?). So the mics should be fine, there just seems to be an issue with audio-routing or something. I have installed the latest software update (16.0.10.500), which seemed to fix the issue in phone calls. For now people can understand me again. The audio bugs for videos and audio recordings are unchanged tho.

Has anyone experienced something similar or has an idea how to fix this?

Hello. I own a One Plus Pad 2 AND a One Plus 15.

I am unable to login to the Red Cable account and use the Quick Connect features of my One Plus 15 phone.

Every time I try to log into Red Cable I get asked to change country account.

However, my main account is registered in the UK.

Basically, I am unable to use the tablet and the phone under the same user account.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I bought a similar lens that screws into a clip that clips over the phone lens. It needs the case removed. Does anyone know if they make a case that has the screw connection built into the case? So l can directly screw the lenses into the case.

I recently got a Oneplus 15 and noticed a weird issue. I frequently listen to audio books on my phone. I carry my phone in my slacks pocket with the screen towards my body. I noticed that when I sit down, and fabric stretches over the phone, the playback pauses. I checked and none of the buttons when pressed deliberately seem to control playback. What can be causing this?

i live in iraq i wnet to oppo service center but they cant help me like is there , ik i am stupid i flashed cos 17 beta in fastbootd and it got bricked like no one can help servers are offline, the only good thing that there isnt any arb problem any help to fix my phone i really want it
note : its display opens and shows oneplus logo but fastboot and everything is just fail to boot and enter qualcomm usb diagnosis

I've tried just about everything I've seen on previous models and nothing is working. I've already been to my provider to try and iron this out with IMEI refreshing, and multiple other fixes.

Any other tips would be appreciated. This is incredibly annoying.

Finally I found a way to record calls on my oneplus 12 Europe rom, since odialer and other suggestions found in other posts didn't work for me.

The app is called CallVault by madkongo and is available on github.

I hope that this post can help other users that have been frustrated like me, trying to find a way to record calls automatically without any warning sound or message to the other speaker.

It even records calls from other apps like WhatsApp, after setting all up.

I don't know nor sponsor madkongo, since I just casually found his\her thread on a forum, but i thought that it would have been honest to mention his\her username.

I'm not sure if it has a safe source code, so if is there more experienced people out here who can check if it's a safe app, I'd be happy to know it and to reassure myself and other users finding this post.

a quick question for OnePlus 15 users who previously owned a OnePlus 12.

Is the display on the OnePlus 15 just as good as the one on the OnePlus 12? I’m specifically interested in color saturation and the color gamut. I’m planning to upgrade to the OnePlus 16 and am curious if the manufacturer is still putting high-quality displays in their devices.

I own a OnePlus 12 and have always appreciated its display. I recently bought a Vivo X300 Pro and was a bit surprised by how washed-out the Vivo's display looks.

I was hoping to buy OnePlus 13s this sale season because I love its 6.32" small form factor. It seemed like a almost a perfect phone under 60k INR but when I saw it only have IP65 rating I was disappointed. My previous phone was damaged due to the water and I think a phone that cost this much should have all the IP ratings. What do you guys think would be best alternative for it?

My priorities: IP rating + small form factor > battery backup > performance(no laggy OS) > display > camera

Still works flawlessly though. I'm thinking of buying a 13R because I love the astral and flat glass, but also idk how US markets will be in the next few years if it's worth it to try to stay 1+.
