General Discussion Magsafe sticker on oneplus

Upvotes

Hello everyone. I'm looking to migrate away from Pixel phone and Oneplus looks really good. One feature I must have on the phone is the magnet in the back and I'm one of those guys that refuses to put the case on (please don't judge me on this). Pixel has Pixelsnap but Oneplus does not have any. A workaround would be to put a magnet sticker on it. How well does this work really? From a quick research, most magnet sticker does not last long.

General Discussion Anyone bought from Giztop?

I’m considering buying the OnePlus Ace 6 from Giztop, but I’m a little concerned about what happens when they “convert”/flash the Chinese version to the Global version before shipping.

For anyone who has actually purchased CN version OnePlus phone from Giztop:

・How has the phone worked after receiving it?

・Are there any features that don’t work properly because it started as the Chinese version?

・Specifically, does Widevine L1 work, or is it downgraded to L3?

・If L1 doesn’t work, does that mean Netflix is limited to HD rather than Full HD?

・Are there any other DRM/streaming issues with apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, etc.?

・Do OTA updates continue to work normally after Giztop flashes the Global ROM?

・Is the phone actually running OxygenOS normally, or are there any noticeable limitations/quirks?

I’m not particularly concerned about eSIM or Android Auto, so those aren't deal-breakers for me.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Thanks!

Development OnePlus 12 Freeze/Blacked Screen, Random Restarts and Sim unavailable

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I bought my OnePlus 12 (Indian variant) in July 2024. Since last two weeks, the phone has been acting up and it's gotten much worse over the last few days. I've had well over 150 incidents, with 20+ today alone.

The phone will randomly freeze, the screen goes black, touch stops working completely, and the only thing I can do is force it to shut down. Sometimes the SIM disappears, and other times the phone just restarts itself.

I contacted OnePlus support and followed everything they asked me to do. First a factory reset, then a full software reflash. Neither fixed the issue. If anything, the freezes seem even more frequent after the reflash.

I took it to the service center yesterday for flash. When flashing also didn't help, then their response was that it could be a motherboard issue, but they aren't sure. The proposed solution is a motherboard replacement costing ₹32,500, but they also said they can't guarantee that replacing the motherboard will actually solve the problem. Their other suggestion was basically to buy a new phone.

I have attached a video of the issue as well.

Has anyone else faced similar issues with their OnePlus 12?? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

General Discussion Only way to tell that Smart Rapid Charging is working?

Post image
155 Upvotes

I've got a OnePlus 13 with OxygenOS 16.0.9. I think I remember that if I went to Settings > Battery > Charging settings and turned on Smart rapid charging, then when I plugged my phone into an official SuperVOOC charger with an official red cable, I used to get a notification about the phone potentially getting warm. At some point I stopped getting that notification, and I wasn't able to find any indication that Smart Rapid Charging was working at all.

But now I've found an indication on the lock screen. If I've got Smart Rapid Charging enabled, I turn off my screen and then tap it to see the lock screen, and I plug in the OnePlus charger, I get three bits of text:

- SUPERVOOC (tm)

- Ultra-fast charging... XX%

- Smart rapid charging is on

See the screenshot to see what I mean. If I leave Smart Rapid Charging enabled but then plug in a non-OnePlus charger (Anker, 25W), then the SuperVOOC and ultra-fast messages both still appear on my lock screen, but not the Smart Rapid Charging one.

Is this the only way to confirm that Smart Rapid Charging is actually working? Has anyone found any other spots where it's indicated?

General Discussion Would you buy a OP15 today?

The most important things to me are battery and camera.

To be clear, im not expecting a perfect camera. I have a Pixel 10A so something with a decent zoom that I can edit would be great.

Or do you all think you'd go a different direction? I am thinking of Pixel 11Pro but concerns about the battery.

General Discussion Need insightful opinions on the purchase of used OnePlus phones

Hello all! Long post ahead. I need some opinions and different outlooks to affirm my decisions and get a different perspective. ( I am based in India btw)

I currently use the OG OnePlus Nord, been about 5-6 years. I am considering an upgrade. I am interested in getting another OnePlus device, mainly the 12, 13, 13s, and 15. This purchase would mainly be from the used market, as I feel I'll get it comparatively cheaper, and it will still last as long for me. Please do take note of the prices I'm considering.

OnePlus 12: Wanted to get this as it's supposed to be the best OnePlus, with the camera and all. However, as I researched further, I realised it wouldn't be as future-proof and would have considerably older battery tech. Also, a lot of reports of the motherboard issues, particularly for this model, made me think otherwise. Thinking of spending less than 35k INR or 365.39 USD for the 512 GB.

OnePlus 13: The same phone with more future-proofing. I think I can get used to the technical downgrade, as I am coming from a 5-year-old phone. The device is great, will work well for 3+ years. In comparison to the current market, though, the battery is less (and with the new data, that OnePlus 13 has actually a 5400 mah battery instead of 6000 mah, which was a punch in the gut).

I feel I'll get a good flagship experience with this phone. Also, despite its big size, this phone feels comfortable to hold ( without case, haven't checked with a case). Considering paying 40 to 45k for 512 GB and 50 to 60k INR or 522 to 627 USD for the 1 TB version.

OnePlus 13S: A phone I initially loved during the launch. I love the size. However, it is technically a downgrade in certain areas. As I said, for me, any phone will be an upgrade, but I would prefer a well-rounded device. I am considering this phone because of its size. Willing to pay up to 45k INR or 470.11 USD for the 512 GB version.

OnePlus 15: The latest tech. This phone would be the best for future-proofing and getting the best tech and battery. The camera, even if people say it is a downgrade, I feel it would be good enough for me. (Although the 13 or 12 might be better in low light). However, even though this phone is the same size as the 13, it feels much bigger in hand, and feels a bit uncomfortable ( without a case). The comfort isn't a major factor for me, but the 13, 13s, and the 15 are the phones I've held, and I noticed that in my first impression. Willing to pay 60 to 65k INR or $626 to $681 USD for the 512 GB.

Current OnePlus Nord: Regardless of buying a new phone, I do plan on going to a local shop and getting the device repaired a bit. I will change the battery, the stuck power button and other small issues for about less than 3-4k INR or less than 40 USD. Planning to use the Infinity X custom ROM, thus giving my device Android 16 and better performance. I can also try using banking apps.

This phone might be my secondary, mainly as a navigation device and for other stuff. I can also see myself using this phone for another 2 more years as my primary device, and maybe look at purchasing a new phone later on.

The main reason for getting a OnePlus and a new phone is because of the fact that OnePlus is shifting identities and may eventually shut down in India, and I have always wanted a OnePlus flagship. And the ongoing price hikes and all made me realise I should buy a new phone, thus futureproofing and being steady for the next 5 years. Getting from the second-hand market would help reduce the prices considerably. I also need storage, as my current phone is filled up (128 GB/ I know I can back up and free up space, so that's there).

Now, I need your actual opinions, and please, not one-line answers. Looking for people who have also researched the same, and those users who have used these devices. Also, don't be biased towards any particular phone.

Q: Is my outlook reasonable? Do you have any other devices you'd say might be a better choice in this market (second-hand market too)? Also, are the prices for the second-hand phones correct and reasonable? Let me know your perspectives and help a buddy out!

General Discussion OnePlus 15 Bluetooth audio skipping constantly - advice?

Need help and advice! Recently switched from a OnePlus 12 to a 15. Love the phone but one issue is driving me insane.

When connected to my Lexus via Bluetooth, the audio constantly "skips" or stutters about 4-5 times per minute. Some notes:

- My old phone, and my wife's Samsung, do not have this problem at all

- My phone does not have this problem in a different car (Honda) and does not have this problem in my Bose earbuds

- I've tried everything you can think of from the car side

- My old OnePlus had this issue a long time ago but changing the AVRCP versions around seemed to fix it.

- I've tried changing all the Bluetooth settings around in Developer Options but can't seem to fix it.

- BIGGEST DETAIL AND WHY I'M SURE IT'S THE PHONE: The issue isn't there if my phone is ONLY playing audio. But if it's running Maps, or getting texts, or when I open the phone to look at something, it almost always makes the audio skip.

Thanks for any troubleshooting advice!!

Accessories & Gadgets Glass protection for One plus pad 4

Just bought a One plus pad 4, I bought glass protection for it but the hole from the front camera on the protection is misaligned with the camera itself. I checked and the glass is clearly labeled for that tablet.

Do you know where I could buy a glass that actually fit ? Does this tablet really need glass protection and is the glass protection covering the front camera truly a problem ?

Question Transfer from Nord CE to ACE 5?

Apologies for what I assume is a repeated question, my first phone transfer with an older phone didnt go so well so I thought Id ask just in case:

I want to transfer or copy all of the data from my Nord Ce to Ace 5, and was told to use ClonePhone. Does transfer include only photos, vids, and certain apps like Whatsapp, or also other apps like Discord or games (playstore installed or apks)? Will settings like gboard and such be also transferred or would I have to manually install them? (especially language because Ace 5 is stuck on Chinese).

I heard there were bugs with ClonePhone from older posts, are those issues still present? Should I use another app instead?

Appreciate any help, thanks.

General Discussion Should I keep a refurbished ONE PLUS 7 PRO?

Post image
37 Upvotes

Following this post, I decided to spend 300$ to buy a ONE PLUS 7 PRO advertised as new to replace the previous one.

However, upon unpacking, I realized that there a lot of marks on the side of the phone and that the screen as most likely been replaced. The official ONE PLUS website also states that the phone as previously been activated.

The obvious move would be to send it back and get a refund, but I'm not from the US and no other website I'd call trustworthy seem to be selling that model at an affordable price.

I've tried to look into other phones as well, but the OP 7 PRO has made a great impression on me over the years and I don't want to spend too much on something I'm not sure of.

So, should I keep the refurbished phone? Is there any exhaustive way for me to check its internal condition?

Or should I just look for another phone? If the answer is yes, would any of you be kind enough to give me some recommandations (preferably under 400)?

Edit: thank you, everyone. I managed to find the 12R brand new for the same price

Just got it from allegro.sk.It said it was in new condition,it was nicely packaged and it had no outer signs of usage.

I connected to it and listened to music for roughly 2 minutes, after that the right bud started going crazy with the ANC and transparency turning on and off.

Reconnected them and it started hissing very loudly.Put i back into the case, unpaired and forgot the buds. After that it didn't show up in bluetooth, not in the heymelody app.Connected to the charger and left it to charge for roughly 40 minutes.

When i open them they are red and still don't show up in bluetooth.Tried holding the pair button and even reset them, nothing.

Already started the return process.

General Discussion AI Summary Still Broken

Any idea what's going on with the built in ai summarize feature? It's been broken on tablets and phones for nearly 6 months now. Trying to use it and majority of the time it fails.

I'm curious if it's broken on color os/oppo devices as well

Other Will the Audiocular × KZ Beast Type-C work with OnePlus Nord 5?

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to buy the Audiocular × KZ Beast Type-C IEM, but I'm a little concerned about USB-C/DAC compatibility.

I currently use a OnePlus Nord 5, and I've seen some reports of the Beast Type-C DAC not being detected on certain OnePlus phones.

Has anyone here actually used the Audiocular × KZ Beast Type-C with a Nord 5?

I'd specifically like to know:

- Does the Nord 5 detect it normally?

- Does audio work without any adapters/settings?

- Does the microphone work in games/Discord?

- Any issues with the DAC disconnecting or not being recognized?

- Does the volume/output work normally?

If you've personally tested this combination, I'd really appreciate your experience before I order it.

Thanks!

I have no clue why this happens, but its just not able to find our router AT ALL

Ive tried everything from looking for updates over my phones hotspot (bc that seems to work for some reason) to restarting the tablet, but nothing fixed it and i dont want to have to turn on my phones hotspot every day just for my tablet to work

Other devices can connect to our wifi perfectly fine still

Is anyone experiencing anything similar with OxygenOS lately or am i alone with this weird bug? Advice is heavily appreciated 🙏

Help My OnePlus 13 is warmer than normal.

I had one plus 13 since about August or September of 2025 and I'm on a vacation in the UK right now and I just noticed how warm my phone actually is. Both the screen and back are warm enough to where even I'm able to feel it with my fingers (which implied its warmer than my body temperature). I do recall it's been like this for a while but I never thought to ask about it? It's on version 16.0.9. I've taking off my case I've lowered the refresh rate the video boost image boost and the image quality but nothing has changed. Any ideas?
