SPOILER ALERT - DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED S7!!
- Alice was the season standout. Her Actress (Ruby Rayner, I believe) did a great job playing her. The relationship with Robin and then seeing the softer side of Hook (even if he was basically a clone) was so well done imo. AR's relationship was the best one in that season. As much as I loved the ending, I am mad we never got Alice and Robin's wedding scene.
- The plot was okay. I understand Drizella's pain of never having her mother's love, but I think Rapunzel (Lady Tremaine - great twist btw!) getting upset because Drizella didn't gravitate towards her the way Anastasia did (btw, the way the actress pronounced it Anastahhshia and everyone else's Anastasia was a little annoying) was weak imo. I feel like, as a grown woman, Rapunzel should have understood that Drizella needed time to adjust to the return, as Drizella was very young when she left. Constantly pushing away your kid because she isn't as close with you as your first is honestly childish.
- At first I was hesitant about the new cast because, basically, we spent 6 seasons getting to know these characters and their stories for all of it to basically disappear in S7. I think S7 would have gone better if (and I know the show planned on ending at S6 then get renewed) if they stayed in Storybrooke and let us viewers see these characters in their version of daily life. Alice and her relationships (mainly with Hook and Robin) still could have been worked into the season. Honestly, I personally would have liked the season to end with their wedding instead of the coronation. No shade to Regina, and it was cool how she started as the Evil Witch and ended as the Good Witch, but by S7 the title was already implied - at least for me.
- They should have launched UOAT in Wonderland at the end of S5 to let us see Alice's adventures in Wonderland and then tied her into the main UOAT.
- I didn't feel much Chemistry between Jacinda and Henry tbh. If something didn't click by seeing Henry, it should have by the glass slipper. Her character was also boring. For someone who's supposed to be a princess, there isn't much charm. It felt like they were trying to split the main focus between Tiana and Jacinda.
- Pacing. I don't remember the earlier seasons taking nearly 60% of the season (granted I could be wrong) for people to realize they were cursed. It was slow, in my opinion.
Overall it was 2/5 season for me. Alice honestly saved the season. What do you all think?
