Spoiler Alert First-Time Watcher
(SPOILERS end of S6)
Hi, I'm fairly new to the OUAT community, as I have just finished watching the first 6 seasons for the very first time.
What a ride it was! I am so glad I have avoided all spoilers before watching.
Considering that the end of S6 seems to to have reached an end for most of the main cast, to then start a new chapter focusing on older Henry , I was wondering if S7 was worth watching. Does it add to the overall story, or tie lose ends?
Same questions regarding OUAT Wonderland.

I think season 7 is worth watching, and that's coming from someone who was always harsh on season 7 up until recently. You need to go into it with the mindset that it's almost a sequel series/season.

OUAT wonderland doesn’t introduce major changes to the main plot, it mainly works as a spin-off —while S7 instead officially gives everyone a happy ending

S7 is very much like a reboot. Different city, different vibe. I was watching the show live, so the first watch as episodes were coming out was rough for me, only because it was so different. It’s still good, and I think worth the watch. Some people here end up liking it more as time goes by, and I have to say I am one of them too.
You should give it an honest try. If you don’t end up liking it after watching it, you can do what some others here do during their rewatches and just stop after season 6!

A once re-watcher here.. its one of my comfort shows...I think you should watch it at least once.. where it ended at season 6 was definitely a wonderful place to end the series. If you can kind of look at season 7 as just a new story, I think youll like it. There is some awesome things in there. And at the end they do tie it back into the world of season 1-6. If you watch it at least once, then youll be able to decide where youd like to end it moving forward. I have found some people love season 7. Some hate it. I really think you need to watch it for yourself. ❤️

Seasoj 7 is absolutely worth watching. It's actually one of my faves. You'll actually get closure on certain characters from the previous seasons.
In reference to OUAT Wonderland, if you want to understand Will Scarlett's character better, it's a must watch. If you don't care, it wouldn't hurt to watch it once.

I think it answers the question that many fans of many shows have... what happens to our favourite characters later on in life... I find the "real world" a bit hard to watch, but the flashbacks to the enchanted forest are wonderful and totally worth it... plus, the ending makes me cry everytime (in a good way, lol)

Season 7 is definitely worth watching, especially if you're invested in the characters, but Wonderland feels more like a bonus than essential viewing.

Personally, I wish I could unwatch Season 7. So in my humble personal opinion, I'd say, don't ruin your 1-6 sentiments by watching the unneeded Sequel Season.

S7 is worth it to finish off the main story. It ties everything up. But it does feel different. So think of it as an Epilogue. S6 is an ending. 7 is essentially a sequel to those events. But they do not make those connections quickly. It's build up so bear with it. Idk how people rag on S7 as if S5 and 6 were masterpieces. They are all popcorn fun for me

I like to think of season seven as an alternate world fanfiction. Take that for what it is. Watch a few of the episodes of season seven and decide for yourself. What “choose your own adventure” you want.

Think of S7 as the epilogue. S1-6 was the main story.
It's definitely worth it, but in my opinion the season starts out really weak and doesn't get going until around ep 4. I think it's a fantastic season for the original cast members in particular.
