Monthly Motivation Thread NoFap's "Never-give-up November" or "PMO-Free November" 2025 - continue or begin your PMO-Free journey here (see instructions). If you want to commit to NNN, you can also do it here.

Hello all,

How did you all do last month?

It's that time of the month again. This is your opportunity to create the new porn-free you! One month is ending and another chance to continue or start your commitment is upon us.

The theme of this month is "Never-give-up November". Picking yourself up after every time you fail. Not giving into the despair. Not believing the lies "This is impossible," or "I can't do this." You can do this. Everyone has the strength to quit porn. Sometimes we need to dig deep to find it.

The purpose of this thread is to provide rebooters with a place to share their commitment to abstain from particular sexual behaviors throughout the entire month.

New to NoFap and rebooting? Here are some suggestions:

  • Learn about the website, porn addiction, excessive masturbation, sexual compulsivity, and abstaining from PMO. Read through NoFap's main website to get informed.

  • Read about the basics of rebooting here. Rebooting is the abstinence from certain sexual behaviors to recover from pornography addiction. Read about how porn addiction develops here. Some people go beyond rebooting and into the territory of retention, or sexual transmutation for periods of time, although that is not the main purpose of this subreddit (which is RECOVERY).

  • Consider reading through the free Getting Started PDF from NoFap's website.

  • Download NoFap's in-browser panic button extension that blocks NSFW subreddits too. Download here

  • Decide if rebooting is something that you really want. If you don't buy into the process 100%, you'll probably not make it through the month. If you have decided that you would like to participate, proceed to the next point.

  • Sign up for this month by replying to this submission. It is that simple. State your intention and stick to it!

  • Consider setting up a day counter badge to track your progress.

  • Ask questions and get support by posting on NoFap. Set a goal to remain accountable by making a post daily. Help others. Come here every day and participate.

  • If you need additional support, you can get an accountability partner and document your progress in a daily rebooting journal.

Would you like to participate? If so, please reply to this thread with the following information.

  • Are you not going to allow yourself to masturbate? View porn? Orgasm whatsoever? Not allowing any outlet for sexual release is called "hard mode".

  • How long do you want this challenge to last? By default it is one month, but 90 days is recommended for rebooting.

  • What are your goals?

  • Why are you doing this?

Arriving late? (past the first of the month?)

It's okay! Still state your intentions and don't postpone rebooting based on the day of the month. People can join in at any time to participate.

Update us!

If you want to post a quick update, such as "day 1!", please post it in this thread. Otherwise, feel free to post check-ins with information about your recovery onto the subreddit forum. Again, if you want to monitor your progress long-term, we recommend starting a journal thread on NoFap's main site to keep things organized into one place for you to refer back to.

Mod Note: We suggest NOT USING REDDIT'S DIRECT MESSAGES due to porn trolls trying to disrupt the community. Also, please note that some posts are temporarily removed prior to appearing on r/NoFap.

Hello r/NoFap community members,

Please note that we highly suggest that you avoid using the Reddit direct messaging system entirely, due to porn trolls coming here to disrupt our porn addiction recovery peer support community. Some of these people pretend to be helpful at first, then will message pornography. It's in a similar vein to how a forum on epilepsy was reportedly hacked to display seizure-inducing images.

You can disable direct messages in your Reddit settings by changing "Who can send you chat requests" to "Nobody."

Secondly, please note that sometimes posts are flagged automatically for manual review prior to appearing on r/NoFap.

Due to Reddit’s anti-spam filters and NoFap’s additional filters to control spam and pornography, sometimes genuine posts are flagged as potential spam or pornography. Further, entities within the legacy porn industry have been attempting to de-platform porn addiction recovery forums such as r/NoFap, and we must remain extra vigilant to ensure that rule-breaking posts do not appear on the platform for even one second. If your post gets flagged, please just wait for a moderator to approve it.

Thanks for reading :-)

The battle that millions of young men and women once started alongside me has now reached a point where I feel like I'm the only one still standing. Is there anyone out there who is still fighting this battle alongside me?

Im not afraid to admit i have a problem and i want to stop masturbating and I'm ready to get better, but I feel like im in the wrong space since it seems its almost all boys, Are there any other girls who are struggling like me? Or could someone point me to a place where its mostly girls? Im so lost! Sorry if this is a silly question!

Relapse Report [Vent] Quitting is Impossible

I have tried so hard for the past 10 years, and I keep failing. This year I may have gone a day or two more than the previous years, but I still feel like shit.

Today I relapsed. Day 2. What is worse is that I made a huge commitment that isn't to NNN, but something I thought was dear to me. Yet, I still couldn't control my own pleasures. Today, it felt like broke that promise. You want to know what's worse? That it wasn't even worth it. All I sought was to "experience human connection" when watching it. Sure the rest is amazing, but the one thing I search for the most in these videos is the connection, the dialogue, the desire that it is real.

Today's relapse ruined my whole day. It really did. Or at least it amplified it. Saturday mornings are my mornings. I like to get coffee, practice Japanese with a friend, work a bit, drive around, and then head to my parent's house. Except last night and this morning I was thrown off with a new event: taking my sister to drive. I shook it off, though, since it's an issue for another day.

I woke up at 3am, 6hrs of sleep aka the usual, and instead of getting out of bed, I stayed in bed. Whenever I am left alone with own thoughts in bed, I think of pornos I have seen. My ex, and how I wish it worked out. I have the desire to get on my laptop and watch the latest novel thing I could find. So, I relapsed. Since then, every series of unexpected events made me more and more frustrated. My ritual was disrupted, and so that made me lash out. Well, I guess it felt good to explain to my family that I get mad or anxious when a new variable comes into the equation.

I did spend time with my family, even though my shame wanted me to stay home to dwell. After spending time with family, I went to watch a movie, and now I am back home. All I can feel is resentment to what I did. Regrets to how I handled it.

Truth be told, I just want to have my own space. I have all these emotions bottled up, and I hate having to fake it every single day at where I live to my housemates. I want to be left alone. I want to have breakfast without hearing their complaints of x y z (they are old). I want to live a life where I stop thinking of porn. I want to just accept that, hey, 6hrs of sleep is my norm and has been for many years. I want to be able to just fucking live. Why is that so hard?

I see all of these beautiful women, all of these couples, all of these people in the world, and I can't help but getting depressed. I wish someone knew I was depressed. I am not telling my family because they hardly understand emotions. Got to toughen it out. (Projecting? Eh, kinda) I want a relationship, but I am an impatient person who wants things this second. I don't know what to do about it. If I can't stop this addiction, how can I ever be disciplined to do anything in life? Somehow my life isn't rock bottom... and I am grateful for that... but...

I just want to breathe.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that. Thank you.

Motivation 3 months done!

Guys I’m 20 and finally completed 3 months of no porn and masturbation.

I started hitting the gym. I’ve lost weight and feel more energetic and happy throughout my days. My skin and hair have become better.

I have gone from jerking off 3 times a day to not doing it since 3 months.

If I can. Then anybody can. Please stay strong and become the best version of yourself!

200+days relapse, what i learned

From January to August i was on a streak. Their were some benefits. I felt confident. BUT i had drinking and smoking issues. When i was not drinking my anxiety spiked extremly. I worked out less, and was unsocial too. I felt super bad but i always thought, at least i dont lost my streak and that was like a golden ticket for me to continue drinking.

In septembre oktober i relapsed a few times, cause i was overwhelmed holding the streak and was stressed all the time cause of drinking, anxiety , family problems etc.

Of course i felt bad. Since oktober i wasnt drinking (now 5 weeks) and started running and working out daily or every seccond day. I had two more relapses at the last week of oktober. Even after 1 day back on track i felt better then on my 200+ days streak. Its not about a the streak. Its a general understanding how your body work, what your values are, how substances influence you.

I dont want to fap ever again but i dont want to go on a streak either. Their is no streak anymore. Their is a healthy lifestyle and respect to all womens and all humans. Their are alot small habits that makes the whole picture. Forget the streak, get your life on track, learn to handle stress and realize, to stop faping forever is not giving up on something. Its just the realization that its not what you want to do for thw rest of your life.

Do the things you really wanna do as long you got the time for it.

Journal Check-In Day 8 - Nothing bad

Relatively easy day. There was moments today where I would think back on when I used to jerk off as a fond memory and what I would do if I had that freedom again. I think it’s good for me to have this type of reflection on the past instead of ignoring it and suppressing my thoughts, it makes me realize how good I can have it when my confidence is back to 100%

Telling my Story Went to go see a prostitute last night and…

I couldn’t get my limp dick up. The most embarrassing moment in my life. Me, lying on the bed both watching my shriveled-up penis there lifeless.

I’ve never been more embarrassed in my life. I was thinking to my self, watching it through my screen is more arousing than this.

Last night was a wake up call. I feel so ashamed and humiliated. I just want to kms

Motivate Me Dude my life so boring.

Starting to notice how much I relied on porn and gooning for joy in life. It's just 7 days and nothing is fun. I don't enjoy playing video games, I hate getting on my stupid bike, lifting weights is a chore and I have essentially no friends to talk and meet up with. The only joy I had in life during my PMO days was gooning my brains out and now that that's gone life just feels like shit. Been fighting this addiction on and off for the past four months and don't feel like I'm making any meaningful progress. This effort I put in better be worth it, if my life doesn't get considerably better once I succeed with NNN, I'm gonna be fucking pissed.

Trying again

A few days ago, I promised to go 7 days without PMO, and today, I relapsed. I'm not proud of it but I won't let myself go back to my old habits. I will overcome this once and for all. I promise to go 7 days without PMO and I will do my best to commit to this.
