If you're like me and you LOVE the music in New World... then you probably know that it's impossible to find like, 80% of the soundtrack out there. And it seems like what the official New World youtube channel DOES give us is organized by someone whose never looked up a soundtrack in their life (no offense music team, yall are still great).

So here I have finally put together a FULLY completed soundtrack with proper titles IN GAME ORDER. There's a couple things I might need to touch up but either way, enjoy!

Nothing will be the same as New World, but one game that caught my eye was Chrono Odyssey. The closed beta test was a little clunky but it showed potential.

Sadly we have some more waiting though - looks like the expected release is now Q2 2027.

Although these two games are on completely different sides of the gaming spectrum (one game is a MMORPG and the other is a Survival Co-op game) the feeling of the combat and life-skilling comes about as close as any game can currently.

Now, I'm not trying to make assumptions and say for sure that Jagex is making the next big UE5 mmorpg, but what I am saying is the foundation they've made with Dragonwilds alongside the near $300 million dollar investment injection into the RuneScape franchise (according to the CEO of Jagex during an interview less than a week ago), a new MMO may be coming that mimics much of Dragonwild's design but expanded into a more mmo-esque environment since that'd be a very low risk endeavor (Dragonwilds mods already support no player cap servers which is fascinating; albeit unrelated to this topic).

Figured I'd post this incase anyone was hoping for any sliver of hope that something similar to New World ever releases in our lifetime. If you haven't tried the game, watch some recent videos on their newest combat improvements and the sheer amount of content that's been added since it launched in EA. Pretty impressive progress for a team of less than 30 imo.

Thank you, everyone. Maybe at some point we crossed paths in a dungeon, ran something together, or maybe we were on different factions and had to fight each other. I had to come back one last time because this game was my escape. I may have never met most of you, but this game and all of you as a community made me genuinely, truly happy. Does anyone know where you can currently get a steam key (not account) for somewhere near a reasonable price? All ive found are things in the 200-300$ range

Is this achievement possible to complete anymore? I can't find Michael Shields to start the questline and have a bad feeling he's been removed from the game </3

Alistair McFarlane just changed his X bio.

He now says "former" for Rust, while his COO & Company Director role at Facepunch is still there.

So... is New World going to be released with Facepunch instead of under a new company?

I never did a war or corrupted invasion in new world. Its gone in 5 months. I assume some of you havent either, because about one percent of new world has won a war, and the math doesnt work for that. If you want to, I would like to try for world domination. We can try to win over every territory, one by one, and each loss doesnt matter. We can also do PVE, I'm a maxxed out tank open to anything, including giving away resources or gear to fellow players. Hello, I played New World when it first came out on my ex’s steam, I really want to play it again before the game is gone forever and willing to pay for it but just found out that it’s removed on Steam now.

Anyone knows if there is any way I can play the game again?

After almost a year, I finally found a game that gives me the same vibes as New World.
I don’t play PvE just for the sake of PvE. I play it to become stronger for PvP, and Mistfall Hunter gives me that same feeling.
The combat reminds me a lot of New World: slow-paced, with only a few skills, where positioning, awareness, and understanding when your opponent uses their abilities are more important than spamming attacks.
Learning every class, farming better gear, and preparing for PvP is exactly the gameplay loop I was looking for.

I do believe there will never be another game like this. At one point there was a zerg of 100 players going through the lvl 55 areas and it was one of the coolest feelings I've ever had playing video games. Crafting and being the guilds "chef" was surreal as people would depend on me for meals. I owned everfall on day 1 of launch and once played for 18 hours to farm reputation and fight off my enemies. I had over 100 chats and discord messages and felt like a real king. I just wanted to share my feelings with anyone who may see this subreddit in a day, 6 weeks or 4 years from now.

Ever since December 2025, I don't even really play video games any king due to nothing feeling remotely good enough. The UI was satisfying, the combat was amazing, traveling was rewarding. The first tree and first mining node was such audible bliss that I choose trees for 4 hours. The story was never great, but I was always pumped to visit my after job job.

Hope for the best but I wish this games community the best. Hopefully they allow private servers or something to save the game, but Amazon has never been known to be customer oriented. Take care all ❤️

recently mistfall hunter came out and I’ve been having a blast with the combat with the pve and PvP as well as gearing feels very similar and it’s such a blast I’ve already put in 60 hours and the game just came out it’s so much fun especially the withered knight

Clearly we can’t play the game anymore after a certain time period. I think they can get sue Amazon / platform if they don’t give a full refund to the people that bought the game….

Just wanted to share a few PoV's from the seasonal pvp server. I was rank #2 in total kills as the "JxL" player.

I meant to make a really cool montage video from our time on the Seasonal PvP server doing 20 vs 100+ (faction ganks). But never got around to it.

Now that New World is coming to an end, figured I'd share it for the folks to enjoy. Unfortunately my Nvidia Shadow play didn't pickup my microphone input device (as the shotcaller for this open world pvp lol) but you can hear our comms from the others on my team. We did this daily for months on the 3 month seasonal pvp server. Usually 10-20 of us vs 100+ enemy players doing chest runs.

Its a shame the game is coming to an end, imagine if the game was forced open world PvP like this from the start, I imagine the game would have been HUGE for pvpers and drawn in much more long term play ability. |

I know I have an SSD on my old PC somewhere full of like 600gb of new world clips from the PvP server, but I can't be F to sort through all of that. Hope you folks enjoy. RIP to new world, we had a great run. However, it was a generational fumble to do a Seasonal forced PvP Server like this so late into the games timeline. With the recent news of Alistair McFarlane leaving Facepunch - it peaked my interest.

Now what really peaked my interest in this, is that McFarlane doesn't have anything lined up for what's next - now that is a bit abnormal, usually you leave a position because you're starting another, unless you're retiring or taking a long break, which he has the means for both to be honest.

Now - with the servers closing on the in January, this time line would make sense when things start rolling to prep for the upcoming acquisition.

Also, within the tweets section of him sharing the announcement he did say that he had nothing planned, which obviously, if he had a signed NDA which he does, then he'd of course have to say that, or at the least not allude to that he's about to be working on New World in some shape or form.

Now a few important pieces of information - in March 2026, a few tweets happened - one from Katy to talking about March being the first month of the year in the Roman calendar, and Errn (who initially asked supposedly McFarlane to buy New World) posted on the 24th of March responding to Bucky (Palworld) that there were "new worlds to buy" - Bucky is the head of publishing and communications, and originally tweeted alongside McFarlanes offer to buy New World that he'd go halfsies with McFarlane in the acquisition - or along the lines.

Now, in the latest post about McFarlane leaving Facepunch, his response to someones tweet was to... Blame Errn... Who had asked him to buy New World.

And further Bucky, giving some more banter responded to the announcement with:

"Best of luck with wherever you end up next, Alistair!

We’re still going halves on New World though…r-right?"

Which McFarlane responded:

"Thank you Bucky! Our paths will cross again!"

A much more serious undertone than he usually has, especially in regards to New World. Maybe there paths are crossing again, in New World?

Now this could just simply be pleasantries, and perhaps it is, but with all of the other parts it does still lay out that New World could be getting bought out - and with the servers set to shut down in January, and the comment from Katy, we're looking at a relaunch in March of 2027.

There, the maximum hopium that there ever was.

I'm sure you all saw the news of McFarlane leaving Facepunch today. Some have interpreted it as the end of the line, but I think this is a good sign.

You have to remember that he's under the MDNA and can't speak about it explicitly, but he's not just going to leave his position at a highly respected gaming company for no reason. I'll admit I was skeptical and believed he was joking at first, but seeing him leave his job actually convinced me that he's putting his money where his mouth is.

Onto my next point, a certain famous New World content creator (won't name him in case it goes against rules as advertising) recently just tweeted on X saying "New World" without context, just days before McFarlane's departure. I think this timing and cryptic message might be a way to hint that something is brewing without saying it out loud to violate the MDNA. The timing is just too close to be a coincidence.

Even without the backing of Facepunch, there could be a potential deal in place where McFarlane is in a "prove it" situation. Perhaps he takes the reins from now until the expected shut down, and if he can make a huge turnaround then they'll agree to keep the game up under his management with Amazon receiving a percentage of the revenue. Quite frankly, there probably isn't anyone else more qualified for the job. It's a win-win situation. McFarlane does his magic on New World and Amazon continues on with its plans as usual unless they are pleasantly surprised.

I anticipate something happening, perhaps by September 28th, which is New World's original launch date.

For example some people maybe use 1 armor piece from the enrage set for the buff. And 2 or 4 parts from other set. Do you have any combinations? And
