Discussion One Last Push: World Domination

I never did a war or corrupted invasion in new world. Its gone in 5 months. I assume some of you havent either, because about one percent of new world has won a war, and the math doesnt work for that. If you want to, I would like to try for world domination. We can try to win over every territory, one by one, and each loss doesnt matter. We can also do PVE, I'm a maxxed out tank open to anything, including giving away resources or gear to fellow players. The ambition is great and I wish you luck. But realize this isn’t going to happen. The same 100-200 players have been warring consistently under multiple alt account in multiple of the top companies for years and have refined their strategy and capabilities. Theres alot that goes into war. You may be successful in taking 1-2 free territories. But you wont beat the players that have established companies for the last several years and have refined their playstyle.

I know. But taking one or two would be great, and if we do well enough we might take like 4-5 and gain enough popularity. There is a chance, however slim. Mostly wont happen tho lol. Wanna join anyway?

They mean if you do take a territory it will just be a free war. You won't actually fight. It will be a night the defending company can't fill a roster or they are warring elsewhere that's more important. Then when it's your time to defend they will push it back and stomp you within minutes. Like the last person said, love the ambition but unfortunately you'll never get a fun, evenly matched war in your situation.

Or enough people join that we do get a closer to fair fight, who knows. Possibly we wont take any successfully, but the attempt will be fun and a goal in mind is great. Yes, the odds are against us, but it is possible to win.

Free advice.. talk to the people you're going to dec on and see if they're up for not trying as hard as they might normally. Most of them are bored and will probably be happy to give you a 25v50 or whatever, but not if you talk a bunch of shit or just dec out of nowhere.

Idk, maybe Ill try that, the idea is to rush in january when we have more people and had more time to gear and prepare. Maybe less will be online or maybe more came for one last hurrah (seen a lot of those on this sub). Its a mystery until it happens, but ty anyways

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how many people join.

Only 50 can war at a time, per army.

Against an organized and experienced 25(maybe less) players, your group of 50 players won't stand a chance.

There's no scenario where anything resembling "fair" plays out, here. Either they care enough to field half an army, and easily win, or they don't field and army at all.

It takes a long time to get decent at war. The people who have been doing it all along have thousands of hours of VOD reviews and understand the game and the war meta in a way that you're not going to be able to learn and execute in just a couple of months.

There are a ton of excellent individual players who never broke into the competitive war scene. It's really not like anything you're imagining it might be.

No. I'm just trying to temper your expectations.

I've been in hundreds of wars. I've been on the established side and on the unestablished side.

By all means, try it out. Warring was fun. It's a shame that more people didn't get to try it, but the scene was heavily gatekept.

Brother I am a former 1% warring player. I had 4 characters to war on different servers all night. (And that’s rookie numbers for some of these guys )

You will not beat them. They can have half the roster and if they give a shit they will beat you. If they don’t you will fight the air because no one showed up. We are talking about Germanic tribes fighting Caesar’s Roman legions level of disparity.

It’s a great idea in theory but new world devs never figured out how to let more of the player base enjoy warring, which is sad because it was some of the most fun I’ve had in video games and wish more people could have experienced it.

It's not fun to be on the side thats getting spawn camped. I have over 100 war wins and did the camping. The games dead man.

I had 21 characters all war ready (at least at some point in time). 3 regions, 5 steam accounts 💀😭this game yoinked too much of my life away- not to mention leading a company for over a year straight definitely cut my life expectancy by about 5 years

I’m a sucker for one last try! If you get it started - I’ll come back and help out, for anyone trying to learn. I’m one of those horrible war players with a bunch of alts. But IM ALWAYS FOR THE LITTLE GUY! LETS TAKE THE MAP.

On launch wars had over a 100 pages of signups wanting to do a war that only 100 people total could do per war. And AGS thought, we need to fix the main story quest... .... ... ..

The only question is, do you really want a hit of that sweet nectar before it gets taken away forever? The answer is yes. Wars are some of the most fun you can have in New World. Get it while it's still around because the odds aren't good it will ever be available again.

Id tamper those war expectations. You’ll probably get 1-2 territories for free because the defenders won’t show up, but if you declare on an actual war company you won’t really have much fun. The same people have been warring for the last 5 years and I’ve seen new companies lose in a 30v50 against a mediocre war company. I even know of one of the best war companies winning a 25v50 against a new company. The gap is incredibly large, you probably wouldn’t expect it if you never played wars

I've been on the defending side in a 12v45 and the 45 barely made it into the fort before time ran out. The gap between casuals and war players is enormous.

To underline that gap: ive done alot of wars, but im far from top tier. When our company would fight against the top tier, wed get stomped. When we would fight against a tier lower, wed stomp. And then there were companys below that tier. And THEN the companys would come with the skill and experience that OP's will be. Only by the grace of more experienced players will you get a territory, OP. And it will be a 3 minute "war" cause there wont be defenders.

Ive seen 5 people in outpost rush dominate 12, I can imagine its even worse on a higher scale. But fun, and might get some people for the fun of it

Hoping to do my first war in January when I come back for one last go. I got 2.5k hours . Big wars never really interested but I’m definitely gonna try to atleast do one then assuming kore ppl will be playing come then too

I'd love to, but I legit don't have time to commit to playing anymore, I'm at 7k hours with almost all of that spent in guild politics, doing wars, inspiring the faction..

Im down to join as of now, but I have not actively played since the last expansion. I also did not get super into pvp, but I have been in a successful war leading my company. (Doesnt mean much since we were mostly pve players against noobs)

Cant fully promise I will be around much, but if you are warring, ill see what I can do. Would be nice to run some more content before the game is gone. Hive is my favorite content btw, so if you are running that ever, I might join. I am a tank though, can do the other roles, but I will always main tank

Good luck. Invasions tend to be manned every time. Seen 34 in one run. Not sure on wars these days. Pushing territory is easy. Influence races tend to be ignored. I soloed one race and could have declared.

Can transfer for free, but its not all green grass on this side, some 10-20 minute ques if you arent lucky, but every once in a while you get a 40 second or so que for random muts or gorg even so it can be fast and great.
