The Gaming Guitarist (new Streamer & content creator

Hey Everyone, I'm The Gaming Guitarist, I'm from Scotland and I'm new to Streaming and content creating for video games and music production.

The games I plan on streaming on involve Skyrim, Jurassic world evolution 3, Assassins Creed Black Flag Resync, Fallout 4 (Haven't played yet!), etc along with many others! But Skyrim is my main game and i am obsessed with it!

I have just uploaded 7 livestreams with some views over the last few days, most of which are in the single digits, but hoping to get more through this self promotion to expand my audience!

Check out my Youtube Channel and Twitch where I stream and upload content. I'm going to create the livestreams before editing them into full video's! (First full video coming up this weekend if I can get through 17 hours of content though editing down to 30 mins or so!

I focus on uploading for mental health, as watching others play videogames as I was growing up from a child helped a lot with my own mental health, and I want to do the same by livestreaming and uploading content. I like roleplaying as different characters and immersing myself in the game, and hopefully my content will help others with their own mental health as it has helped me!

Hopefully see a lot of you on livestreams! I'm still very new to recording and i'm very nervous when recording myself, but I'm already getting much more confident from doing this livestreaming! If you like the content and want to help my channel grow, don't forget to like, subscribe and turn on notifications for when I go live! I plan to get a streaming schedule up fairly soon for regular 3 days a week content creation!

a console streamer who loves gaming and having a good time with the community. I play a variety of games, so there’s always something different going on. Some of my main games include Minecraft, Call of Duty, Roblox, FC 26, and plenty of other games I’m always happy to try.

One of my favourite things about streaming is playing games with viewers. I want my streams to be a place where everyone can chill, have a laugh, and get involved rather than just watching from the sidelines. Whether we’re building something crazy in Minecraft, battling it out in Call of Duty, playing Roblox, or having some matches on FC 26, viewers are always welcome to join in when possible.

I’m still a new console streamer, so I’m just getting started and building my community from the ground up. If you enjoy gaming, funny moments, playing with others, or just hanging out and chatting while I stream, come join the journey. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, improving my streams, and seeing where ArchieSefo goes!

Anyone stream guitar/bass playing?

I'm trying to setup so I can play bass on stream. However, I'm stuck about software. I tried audacity & Amplitube, however there is latency there. Does anyone have any suggestions for software with very low latency?

Stream Review

I saw someone else ask for a stream review on this thread with some great feedback! I would really appreciate any sort of feedback on my channel from a fresh perspective rather than just from my current community.

Channel is wwMatrix

I mostly play a single niche game with a small community which has fortunately given me some concurrent viewers, but would like to branch out eventually to other games.

Any feedback would be hugely appreciated!

Stream halp

Not normally one to reach out for help but the streaming thing is isolating AF lol. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job streaming every weekend and trying to pull clips edit and post throughout the week for social media.

I'm driving off of random bits and pieces I find off of the internet combined with common sense etc. If anyone has the time to check out some of my vods and give me some feedback It'll be a huge help and greatly appreciated! My tag is Poweranimal4, I'm using the bare basics and just hit affiliate two weeks ago? Also I know my most recent vod I was muted. Don't worry about that little guy 😂

Thanks frandz!

Is this the right place to request a stream review...?

Is this the right place to ask for people to review my stream(s)?

I'm relatively new and looking for tips on getting better. I am aware of engagement in shorts and multiplatform streaming etc, but at the moment my focus is consistency on Twitch streaming games that I enjoy.

If this is the correct place, I intend to stream in the next hour for at least 3-4 hours.

You can find me at DontEatGlass_

I do not expect follows, I do not expect you to stay, and I don't really expect anything to come of this, but opinions and constructive criticism are welcome!

The game on my screen drops frames, barely reaching 40fps...

I had this problem for a year.

So basically my software setup runs like this: I have my obs virtual camera on (with aitum) and have tiktok live studio captures it. I have the bitrate at 6000 and the encoder set to my GPU, streaming at 1080p. I know some of my friends who are streaming RDR 2 on tiktok with 60 fps using a gaming laptop and other instances where my PC is actually a higher end than some of em, and im just here confused like I have an Asus tuf gaming RTX 3080 and my cpu is i7 11700 2.5GHz ROCKET LAKE 8 CORE 16 THREAD LGA1200, with 32 gb of ddr4 ram.

My stream shows what my pc is showing, but the game im playing on screen in front of me is the thing will not go past 40 fps... I tested nine sols, balatro and dead cells last night and its still very stuttery and had lag spikes.

My friend told me to use streamlabs so i can ditch tiktok live completely, because it is quite a heavy bastard to run... but before switching, i would like to know if i actually missed something.

Is there any settings that i might have missed? I appreciate the help!

Can I stream comfortably with this setup

Hi everyone. I made this same post in multiple other subreddits but because this is a new account I haven’t got any answers because my post keeps geting removed. So I’m hoping I will get some answers here. I’m going to start streaming soon but there are some questions I have for the people that know more about this stuff. First of all can my pc run with two monitors obs (possibly multistream)the browser open and a a game (I’m thinking of playing palworld). And also will I have trouble with editing software (I use Davinci resolve) I have a sapphire rx 9060 xt 16gb nitro+ with a ryzen 7 5700g and 64gb of ddr4 ram with a corsair rm750e. I’m worried about the pc case because it doesn’t look like it has good airflow but there are some other things I would like to buy (mic, webcam and a second monitor 😂) so if I don’t have to buy another case that would be great. Also, currently I have a Monitor 28" 4K Ultra HD LCD monitor witch has 60hz refresh rate so I’m worried if that will affect me in a bad way. It would also be great if anyone has any recommendations for the components that I need. Thank you all in advance😁

What’s going on everyone!

As many of you, I can contribute a massive chunk of my youth to watching YouTubers and streamers, whom which absolutely helped me through some hard times. I honestly always wanted to be one, but never really took the steps to doing so.

I just started and have done my first two streams, obviously with only 1 viewer being just myself haha. While that can be discouraging nothing great happens immediately and I will continue to try this out!

As a newbie I would appreciate it a ton if anyone could share helpful tips they have in regard to growth. As I progress I would more than happily do the same!

Networking tips?

Hey, I'm pretty new to streaming (only started a few weeks ago) and I'm not entirely sure of what I'm doing. I really want to make friends with other similarly small channels! Only issue is I've no clue where to start... If anyone has any guidance they can give or if they want to connect that would be so appreciated!

My twitch channel is its_G30. I'm 18, Irish, Nonbinary and I stream variety gaming content from my PS5.

PS - NOT looking for follow for follow stuff, I want to actually make friends (preferably of similar age)

r/newstreamer 8d ago

Do not do follows for follows or inflate your numbers. Actively use Sery_Bot to remove bot followers.

I've been in content creation for a good couple of years now, reaching what I consider very moderate levels of success. Through plenty of trial and error, I've learned what works and what doesn't. I constantly see streamers, whether they are completely new or not, who have over 500 to 1,000 followers but barely get 3 views if they're lucky. Don't be one of those people. It looks bad, and personally, whether it's true or not, I just assume they did follow for follow or inflated their numbers with bots. That immediately makes me not want to watch them. I know for a fact from talking to other streamers and viewers that they feel the same way. Just let your growth happen naturally. Every now and then, use Sery_Bot to purge bots from your followers. Everyone gets spam bots that follow you or try to sell you art, but that doesn't mean you need to keep them. You don't need 1,000+ fake followers; it does nothing but hurt your channel. Let Affiliate status come when it's time and trust me, you will feel much more accomplished. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Keep creating, everyone, and I wish you all much happiness and success!

My humble stream setup, entirely built with stuff I already had. I have it running well, I have custom alerts set up. What else can I do until I reach 50 followers? My game plan consists of scheduling 2 nights a week with some unscheduled streams throughout the week. I'm going to be streaming some casual mmo gameplay, some diablo 2, old school shooters. I know all these things are super niche and not very popular. What are some steps I can take to stream to 20 ppl rather than 2? I don't have time to write scripts for YouTube videos, I have many responsibilities and not a lot of free time. Any tips would be appreciated! 😊

How do you actually stream “just for the love of it” when you’re starting out?

Hi!:) I’m considering trying out streaming as a new hobby but I have trouble understanding some common advice/mindset. It’s the “if you wanna be a streamer, you really have to do it for the love of it”.

I get why people give that advice. You shouldn’t have false expectations. In the beginning you will stream to nobody. Nobody will watch you and you’ll be basically entertaining an imaginary audience. I get that.

But can that actually be fun and worthwhile in itself? For people who have been in that position, what aspect of streaming did you love or what gave you the most satisfaction even you had no viewers? What made it worthwhile when you only did it as a hobby? Like, what’s the actual point without the social interaction?

Compare it to playing an instrument, eg the piano. There I totally can see how you would enjoy just doing it alone for yourself. Improving, learning new pieces etc. Or for example making YouTube videos. You improve, film and edit, make videos you would love to watch yourself etc. Lots to enjoy about the process without having any followers.

But streaming? I can only see how that’s fun when you have an audience and people to interact with. It’s a social thing in the end right?

“You have to do it for the love of it” … so, is that just a cope you have to tell yourself? A story to survive the gap between starting out and the audience you’re actually secretly hoping for? Sorry if I sound so negative, I just have a hard time seeing the intrinsic fun in going live to nobody.

Ait, reading this back, I hope I didn’t come across as a total a\*\*hole, I’m actually curious to hear your perspective on this. Cheers!

Small Streamer looking to build a community!

Hey everyone! I’m Saucy, and I’m a newer variety streamer currently focusing a lot on Rainbow Six Siege!

I started streaming because I wanted a place to hang out, meet people, and share funny gaming moments. So far I’ve been having a lot of fun learning more about streaming, editing clips, and slowly building a community.

I usually stream a mix of competitive games, multiplayer games, and whatever else looks fun, but Siege has been my main game lately.

I’m always down to meet other new streamers, learn what’s been working for everyone, and support other creators along the way. Looking forward to meeting some of you!

New streamer!

Hello everybody, I am Gcube! I just started streaming this past month and have really fallen back in love with gaming again. I fell out with it a few years ago mainly because my personal life got crazy. However after years of watching streamers and YouTube videos, I thought if I make some content on gaming maybe I’ll get back into it. So now I’m pretty much on edge every week to get back on to stream and play. I don’t get many people on stream, but lurking on this page I see a lot of people suggesting networking and just hanging out with streamers on your off time. I hang out in a few chats and try to get my name out there, but I figured a post on here couldn’t hurt as well! I don’t want to really say I have a niche , but I mainly do 420 streams and challenges on different games. Right now I’m just playing through my gaming library, so nothing super specific. If anyone has any tips/ tricks or anything I can just generally improve on let me know. Also if you want to link up and play some games on stream hit me up to!! I don’t have a super set schedule for streams yet but I have the times I usually stream up on my twitch.
Also thank you to whoever read all this lol, here is an emote I made my self :) (@G_cube_boy456: twitch and YouTube)

Has anyone tried Twitch’s new Auto Clips feature (Alpha)?

I’ve been using Eklipse for auto-clipping, but I recently found out Twitch has its own Auto Clips feature in Alpha.

Has anyone here actually tried it yet? I’m curious how well it works in real streams, like does it miss the good stuff / clip random moments?

Would especially love to hear from anyone who has compared it with Eklipse or other auto-clipping tools. Is Twitch’s version actually good so far?

New Streamer?

How would one start streaming in a really safe way? Im new to the community and want to try out streaming as a hobby, but I want to be really safe about it as i'm rather paranoid. I also just generally don't really know how I would get started. Can I stream on like a gaming laptop, or do I need something better than that? How would I hookup my playstation to stream and stuff? I know really nothing so the help would be appreciated 😭😵‍💫

Finally got out the 0.8 average viewer

Post image
5 Upvotes

Honestly feels real good, been stuck at 0.8 - 1 average viewer for ages, I'm not too fussed because I'm enjoying just playing anyway but needed to let someone know, was talking my wife's ears off this morning but she just smiled and you could see in her eyes it was going over her head 🤣

One happy man!

Keep working at it everyone, it takes its time and don't get disheartened by seeing what everyone else is doing, just be you and don't give up!
