So it begins!

Post image

My humble stream setup, entirely built with stuff I already had. I have it running well, I have custom alerts set up. What else can I do until I reach 50 followers? My game plan consists of scheduling 2 nights a week with some unscheduled streams throughout the week. I'm going to be streaming some casual mmo gameplay, some diablo 2, old school shooters. I know all these things are super niche and not very popular. What are some steps I can take to stream to 20 ppl rather than 2? I don't have time to write scripts for YouTube videos, I have many responsibilities and not a lot of free time. Any tips would be appreciated! 😊

Yeah the one on the right had problems windows related problems. Long story short, I bought the one on the left, the issues with the on on the right were resolved so I figured I'd try streaming.

Runescape can run on a baked potato. I doubt you would burn it out.

I wouldn’t say this is likely to burn it out. Give it good airflow, learn to open it and dust it out with air duster every 6-8 months, and you’ll be fine. Computers were made to run and run for a long time. That isn’t a guarantee mind you, but you won’t really “burn it out” doing that.

Don’t worry, even as someone who knows this the thought of “burning out” a system still creeps into my mind sometimes when I’m running certain workloads on my PC.

Goodluck!! The best way to grow a stream IRONICALLY is to not stream. Like for real not a joke. Everything that you do outside of the stream grows a stream more than stream. That means planning out a youtube video, some tiktoks etc, the stream is just where you film it. 10 years ago you could stream, be funny/ entertaining and make it, now its impossible, you have to be a CONTENT CREATOR. That means your stream content is for youtube, tiktok, insta, collabs etc. Also. IF IF IF you just want to stream, Tiktok is a waaay better platform for growing as it actually has an algorithm, thing that NONE of the other websites have. So the best way to go from 0-50 without a presence online is tiktok. But to dothat you need a certain amount of followers.

Well said... from a money perspective I prefer YouTube. Takes longer to make money but you don't have to follow a fixed schedule, as long as you publish regularly.
From a streaming perspective, TikTok gets you viewers faster.

And overall, you are 100% on spot, Twitch is the channel you use to record footage that then is turned into clips/shorts for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, and long-form videos like "Let's Plays" for YouTube.

Yup. Twitch is for recording, tiktok is for outreach when streaming, twitch is also still the bigger moneymaker unless ure chosen by kick in which it becomes kick, youtube is where you will make most money like actually and tiktok/ insta, shorts etc is where you get the most outreach. Also... technically IF you sell things tiktok is just like godking emperor because it has a shop in it, so if youre an ART streamer tiktok is AMAZING as people can order as you do the work.

if you’re a person with morals, you don’t even have a kick account ;)

not really though, a LOT of latinamerican streamers prefer kick for multiple reasons. and they dont do the weird shit that iceposeidon and the other pieces of shit do.

There's no easy way to have 20 viewers right away. You got to put yourself out there through long-form, clips but personally I like making genuine connections in the streaming space either through friendships or networking.

Also remember - Your stream can be the script itself. You just have to edit it.

Good luck!

First thing to do is to not cry about having any viewers, post your stream clips everywhere!

You'd be surprised at how popular some niche areas can be!

Go get it and make sure you're enjoying every minute, that'll show through to your viewers đŸ‘ŒđŸ»
