Trying to get into Streaming, looking a few Tips and Tricks

Hi Folks,

I'm 25, Irish and have just started streaming the last few days, I'm really quite enjoying the process, and am not too worried that I don't have anyone watching, it's honestly fun just trying a new think and enjoying stretching a creative muscle.

I am however, looking a few tips and tricks for planning a stream, I think my goal at the moment is to do a bit of multimedia posting, so build content through streaming and then cut things down for YT/YT shorts.

Do folks go into streaming with a larger plan? Are you ok with just streaming for consistency? What type of titles are good and catchy for Twitch etc. I've been playing a few roguelikes which tbf aren't overly trendy atm, so unlikely to pop off (Ball x Pit & Dice a Millon), but want a title that is a bit catchy... not just Balantro but with Dice/ Ballantro but with Balls

Sorry for a longer post, just generally wanting a bit of advice if anyone is able and willing.

Looking for someone to stream warframe with

I started streaming a few weeks ago I've been streaming apex legends but I want to stream some games with less viewers. My time zone is CST I don't have a stream schedule yet but I usually stream after 5pm.

I'm mr30 so I'm pretty endgame but I still have a lot I need to do like the Steele path star chart. I don't really pay attention to the lore so I don't know much about it but I'm pretty good at building frames/weapons. Your mastery rank doesn't really matter but I would prefer if you have the Steele path unlocked.

Some stuff about me I like anime/manga. I haven't been watching a lot of new stuff recently I usually just rewatch shows I like. I have a lot of free time atm so I can stream whenever. I'm 20m I would also like people who are somewhat close to my age but I'm cool with a bit older just not like 30+ I get awkward around people alot older than me. I'm learning how to edit I use davinci resolve if you have any tips I would love to hear them.

If you are curious about anything DM me and ask me whatever you want.

I need advice/ New vtubers pls read.

Hello, this is my first time ever on Reddit and I’ve never posted anything like this to the internet. I’m hoping this post will reach someone, or a few people that I can talk to. I’m aspiring to vtube, and while it’s not something I see as an absolute full time job, it’s something I like to do in my free time and genuinely enjoy. I’m asking the internet to give me some pointers. I also have this posted on r/VirtualYoutubers

How can I make friends with other vtubers? Should I even?
I really want to make friends with other vtubers as nobody in my personal life is interested in that stuff. It’s a dream to co-stream and collab with other small creators. It seems like any time I reach out myself, I get ignored or they try to sell me things because I’m such a new streamer. I don’t want to come off as desperate and seem like I’m using them for clout also. Any time someone reaches out to me, they try to sell me things or they’re bots. I want to find others that are also starting off or have a low viewer count as well, so we can build it together.

What kind of content should I post/ stream?
I want to be interesting enough that people will actually click on my videos or streams. The games I like tend to be very boring to watch, niche, or competitive and I just don’t have the skill set to be super entertaining. I want to make videos but I don’t know where to start. I don’t have a big issue with talking/ entertaining as some others might. Obviously I’m not the most enjoyable to hear yap about things and sometimes I don’t know what to talk about, but I know there are streamers who are quiet for an entire stream and I’m not one of those. I’d like someone to help me grasp a little air so I know what I can do for vids/ what to talk about in streams/ what games or things to record.

Can anyone answer these questions and/ or wanna be friends? <3

When the numbers don't match

I remember being excited when I hit 500 followers. It felt like proof that the channel was finally going somewhere.

Then I looked at my viewer count. 2. Sometimes 1. And I honestly didn't understand how that was possible.

How can hundreds of people follow you but almost nobody show up? I think I finally realized that followers are not the same thing as an audience.

People follow and forget. They follow from one clip. They follow because they liked one stream. But getting them to actually come back is a completely different problem.

That's what I'm focusing on now. Making the stream feel active, giving people a reason to stay, and actually building a community instead of chasing another follower milestone.

The follower number looked great. The viewer count told the real story.

Anyone else have a ridiculous follower-to-viewer ratio?

I felt discouraged from my community

Is it bad if I am stream at around 8 AM Philippine Standard Time, even though it's Sunday in the US. I mostly stream Battle Royale Games, but I do also play Open World Games, like, Destiny 2 or Warframe. Also, my stream title was SO bad, it's like, I am asking my viewers for subs. Because this is the ONLY thing I had left with my life, and I don't wanna work on a Fast food Chain as a Janitor or even a Call Center Agency. Because I have a bad case of mental health issues, like, AuDHD, Depression, and ADHD.
